"Buy.com is horrible. I payed extra for 2day shipping but it was shipped ground by Fedex. My item was shipped 6/18 but will arrive on 6/23. Customer service says this is okay for 2day shipping. This is not two day shipping. If I wanted shipping that slow I would have picked the free option. Attempts to rectify the situation have not been successful. I will never purchase from them again. First and last transaction.

Edit: Fantastic response from Buy.com. You guys completely exceeded my expectations on response to this issue. Edited to five check marks. Thank you!!!

"My order actually went through Amazon.com, but the order confirmation email received from them said that the item was being sold and shipped by Buy.com, so I naturally headed over here to ResellerRatings.com and looked up the reviews for Buy.com wanting to know what to expect. I was surprised to find quite a few negative reviews so figured the best I could do was to hope that things would go well for me, and that they did.

I ordered late one evening, and my order shipped the next morning. It was received in perfect condition 2 days later and the item received was exactly as described. I've not dealt with the customer service department at Buy.com so can't speak on that, but I'm quite happy with this particular transaction, and would certainly try them again.

At buy.com this game was twenty dollars less than it would have cost anywhere else.

"First complain: SHIPPING: Instead of free standard shipping I paid for a 2day shipping and they shipped ground.
Second/Major Complain: I bought a Lexar 16GB 233x professional compact flash card which was described as new. When I got the product, it was in a crushed open box. There were fingerprints all over the card and there were some folders created in the memory. Clearly they sold me an USED OPEN BOX and RETURNED product for the price of a new one.
This is the first time I buying something directly from BUY.COM and certainly it is the last time. I have bought products from Buy.com marketplace, the seller are better than the website itself. STAY AWAY FROM BUY.COM.

Update: Dear Buy.Com, Please stop treating us like stupids,UPS damaged the box and played with the memory card to put some fingerprints on it??Common, grow up. I do not have the time to return it, otherwise its long been returned to you.

"I ordered Haier SHP20 Stereo Digital Earphones and got scammed by this company. They removed items I ordered from my cart but then they charged my visa card $7.19 for shipping after they said the item came with free shipping. I called and spoke with a number of stupid and rude customer service people. Stay away from
www.Buy.com. When I clicked continue to send my payment buy.com their website changed my free shipping to shipping with a charge.
FOLLOW UP: After posting my problem on reseller ratings buy.com contacted me and resolved my problem. Their customer service people should have handled this when I first called them but it is resolved and I am happy.

"beware of this company !!!!!!
quick review
1 prices change after you click checkout(bait and switch) check your cart!!!!!!!
2 they will triple charge your debit card without authorization ( possibly over drawing your account ) claiming to have called it in to your bank to later find out they did not!!!!!!!
3 customer service not only will not/can not give you your money back and will possibly laugh at you and/or hang up on you!!!!
4 standard shipping you pay for is much slower than free budget shipping!
5 no phone number listed on site takes some googling to find it and customer support is outsourced and they will NOT give you the actual buy.com phone number had to also find that myself!!!!
6 basically had to solve the problem myself because they would do nothing other than "forward" my issue!!!!!
7 the address on the website also appears to be incorrect!!
8 24 hours later i still have not heard a word back from them.
9 2 days later and the order still does not appear on my Bing account will have to contact Microsoft about this also

used Bing to find the item i wanted put item into cart and looked around site found some other stuff i needed added them to cart. looked around some more finding nothing else i needed i proceeded to check. out as soon as i clicked to button the site promptly informed that the prices had changed! and also no longer free shipping on one item upping the price by over $20 . at this point i should have canceled the order but said heck with it and placed it anyways.everything seemed alright till a day later i noticed on the card i used that they not only charged me for my initial order but then also proceeded to bill me for each item individually again ,so i went to call them... but wait there is no phone number on the website only a help link so they can call you tried that waited 40 minutes..... nothing. so using Google i found the customer service number and called. them after being on hold for about 20 minutes i explained what happened to the rep telling him that i had never authorized any other charges he also tells me this is how they do it they charge you once then charge you again when the items ship and remove the initial charge. also that they call it in to your bank to authorize it.then proceeds to ask me for my banks phone number so he can call them!!!! wait a minute i say you should already have it since you called them to authorize the charges in the first place!!i tell him not only that but the other problem is if you use a debit card you can get seriously over drawn as in my case and incur charges from your bank because it takes 1-2 days for the charge to be removed by them and are they(buy.com) going to pay the overdraft charge?he tells me he will add that in his email!! getting nowhere with the rep "he kept telling me the same line over and over" i asked for the buy.com phone number he said he is not allowed to give out that information! so i ask to speak to a supervisor "Michelle" was her name . she gave me the exact same song and dance as the rep did not changing one single word and at one point laughed at me telling me all she could is email someone about it! after about an hour of getting no where i give up and decide to call my bank.the phone rings and its buy.com calling me back from the earlier website request so i start telling him what has happened and at one point he starts pretending like he cant hear me saying "hello...helloo" and hangs up on me!!!!i call back and talk to someone else this guy sounds familiar and i ask him are you the same person who hung up on me a minute ago? he says yes he is... are you kidding me?!?!?proceed to tell him the same thing and i get the exact same song and dance i got from the other rep and the supervisor. finally having enough of this i call my bank and explain to them what has happened and they inform me that they gets lots of complaints like mine from this and a couple of other companies she very quickly erased the over charge and then asked me to file a BB complaint and to call visa and do the same(the complaint has to be done by the card holder) as charges without authorizations are not allowed but since on credit card the charges recycle before you get your bill people never notice it but on debit cards it is seen as clear as day .
also when the items where ordered one came with free shipping, budget shipping mind you so no big deal but one other item that i had to pay standard shipping for will be here 3 days after the budget shipping item !! all this grief and i haven't even received my items yet !!!!!

1. you take order and charge the card the total amount as a "place holder" to make sure the card has the amount of the order

2. then as the items ship you charge the cards the individual price of the items from each market place retailer.

3* after this happens the original charge is deleted leaving only the individual orders and removing the "place holder" charge but this could take 1-2 days.

the problem with my order was that this "scenario" of disappearing charges never happened out of the 3 items i ordered only 2 where charged separately!
*the third item wasn't charged till 2-3 days later after it had shipped.so on my account it showed the total amount of my order and charged me also the price of the 2 most expensive items.leaving my bank account to show a order almost double what i had spent. good thing i was keeping an eye on it because of the order with this company.
if this is not what your company does then this is what happened to my order,among other things.
i have also emailed a more detailed response to buy.com directly.

"I went to purchase a Playstation 3 Slim from VivaLaDeals after being directed there from Sony's website. I completed the transaction and without my knowledge VivaLaDeals canceled my order but kept my money. I checked the balance on my card and it said I was missing $351.99 from my account! The same price as the PS3 Slim model.

I was not informed of this cancellation at all and only learned about it when I went to check the website to see if by any chance they had shipped my item!

I'm VERY unhappy about this, seeing as I got ripped off of that much money.

"This is the worst experience with any seller I have ever had. They Item and all correspondence referred to a 128GB SSD drive. That is what I ordered. I received an email long after the unit was shipped that the item was listed wrong and they shipped me a 32GB SSD. BAIT AND SWITCH. After several phone calls it was agreed to have a payment back to my Paypal account. It has been 4 phone calls later and nothing has been resolved. They tell me they keep trying to refund $30 back to the transaction when the order was placed. All they need to do is make a payment to my Paypal account for $30. The level of incompetence is stunning. Beware of Buy.com BAIT AND SWITCH and good luck trying to get the money back when they do. You've Been Warned"

"I would like to state that I have purchased from buy.com without any issues before. They always shipped quickly and even coordinated with bing.com for my cashback very readily and easily.

After a few years of buying from Amazon I gained a trusted in their "merchant guarantee". I assumed buy.com would have the same reputation and not harbor sellers that behaved suspiciously. I apparently was wrong.

This month I purchased an orient watch from a seller on buy.com called watchgems as they offered me an incredible discount. At first I assumed it was a gray market watch but the seller had a line that stated: "
Watch Gems has been selling watches since 2003. The watches we sell are brand new nad come with full manufacturer warranty. " The typo in the and should have warned me. The manufacturers website has a clear warning they will not service under warranty any watch deemed a counterfeit or gray market without a certificate.

I received my watch from the seller in excellent condition and rather quickly. However, contrary to what the seller wrote the watch came with no warranty certificate. Orient watch company has an e-mail address to deal with issues such as these. So I e-mailed them with my serial numbers, they now suspect this watch is a counterfeit or gray market item being marketed as warranted. Once they finish checking the order numbers they will verify this for me.

I intend to keep the watch as I suspected it was gray market all along. However, if it turns out to be a counterfeit I would like buy.com to respond. As they are, in essence facilitating the sale of fraudulently warranted and possibly counterfeit watches through third party vendors. I understand they cannot be held completely responsible for the actions of third party vendors. But if they intend to continue to allow these vendors to operate then they are in essence supporting these behaviors.
