"Free, I got a kindle fire and received a coupon for a free case. So I quickly redeemed it after picking out the image of my choice, they even gave the option to create my own which is a great option.
Pros: The case seems sturdy, but not unbreakable. From my impression you could pull the cover off if you tried hard enough but why would you want to do that? The design is great, it fits in perfectly. The two magnets that seal the case are decent and I don't see any problems as of yet since they appear securely embedded into the hard plastic mold. The inner cover is soft with a smooth feel so it won't damage the screen of your device. Overall its a great case, and at the price being free you can't beat it.
Cons: Being free, there is nothing wrong with it. However, if you put a price tag on it then that changes. If I had to pay the full price for the case these would be the cons.
1. The printed image: The image I picked had unique colors and tones so i'm unsure if it was due to that or not but after one day there was already a scratch and wear visible on the case leaving white specks on the crease and edges of the case. And the scratch on the upper right half of the cover. When I got the case there was a sticker on the back, when I pealed it away small specks of the image was taken with it leaving white dots over the image where the sticker was even though I believe it wasn't suppose to as it was easy to remove said sticker.
2. Shipping: Even though its free, it would be better to be notified that it'll take over a month for it to be received. Without knowing it you would be left wondering what was going on or if you would even get it in the end. This problem could be seen from the other reviews, otherwise I doubt those who also got it for "Free" would place such a low review score.
Overall: The item is being sold currently for 35$ with shipping, as a free gift it's great even with the month long wait with little to no information on when you'll receive it. I can't say how the shipping is for those that do pay full price is like, so I can't say it'll be better or same experience as mine. So you might want to look into it, or check reviews that did buy the product.
The case is great, but the image doesn't hold up well, but it could be due to the cheap price of 35$ for a custom made to order case. I would suggest fixing it, even if it'll drive the costs up an additional 10-15$ or add it as another customization option but adding on an additional cost.
Hope this helps."
"I placed 2 orders on 12/22/2017 and still have not received cases. "
"I ordered m 4 yEar old grandson a kindie 10. Case o the 27th of December. 2017 and as of th 1st 2018 I have still not received it. I have sen multiple emails and get the same message back every time asking me to be patient. Finally I received an email saying my item had been posted but a week later I am still waiting for it to make an appearance. Emails sent requesting a refund have been ignored and there is never an answer when I have phoned. So much for their socalled 3 day service. While I appreciate mine was my own design and would take longer I feel 5 weeks is ridiculous. My advice would be find a different company and read reviews before ordering as I wish I had done before placing my order."
"I placed a customized order and still as of January 31,2018 have NOT received my case. Have sent a few emails with responses sent to me saying another has been sent and still NOTHING.
Ginger"
“Hi Ginger. We are so sorry for the delays. As our customer service rep shared, we had issues with your custom order initially. We apologize and it is on its way to you!”
"It's important to take de time to write here. We don't understand where that 2/10 comes from ? We have ordered 3 covers and live in Canada. The delivery delay was more than expected but... we ordered just before Christmas. The most important thing is that the products we received are very nice... more than expected ! The lighting of the colors is as good as if it was a picture ! So for us, it is a 10 /10 ! I would order again from Caseable and recommend to friends."
“Hello - Thank you so much for your patience and your kind words. We are so happy to hear you had a great experience with caseable!”
"This company should have thought twice before signing that contract with QVC. I can see I'm not the first with this issue. I ordered a case ages ago and it's nowhere to be found. Support is a dead end with the same copy/paste script responses and you'll get a new person answering you every time. Don't bother giving these people money, you'll have to report it to your bank bc they'll never send your product. There's many other sites that WILL deliver on their promises, go to them. "
“Hello - we are sorry you aren't happy with your caseable experience. We are getting every customer their product, and we apologize for any delays.”
"Three weeks ago received e-mail that case shipped but it hasn't been delivered. Contacted Caseable several times with NO response. Returning tablet."
“Hello - we are terribly sorry for the delay! I have checked the customer service portal, and every request was answered by our team on the same day. Please check your spam folder if you still haven't received more info on your order!”
"I'm another QVC customer who feels like both Amazon and QVC should dissolve their partnership with caseable. After ordering my first case in November and still not receiving it in December, I attempted to contact caseable to find out where my case was via phone, which resulted in no one answering the phone. I then contacted them through their Facebook page (which answered within 24 hours) and through their email address (which responded 6 days later). Though they got back to me, I was basically told to just wait because my order was being made in Germany.
I should also mention that I called both QVC and Amazon to figure out who I could speak with about all of my (and clearly most of caseable customers) problems, and they weren't particularly helpful, but I knew that caseable was the only one to contact.
Alas, sometime right before Christmas, I got my case. It was small and very flimsy, but I could fit my tablet inside. The colors of the case appear fuzzy or out of focus and aren't as spectacular as I had hoped (I customized an admittedly intricate rainbow design), but it was pretty. I would say that within the first two weeks, I noticed some of the coloring was getting rubbed off of the case, particularly where I touch it to open the cover. There are several unexplained places where the color is missing, too, but since it's only cosmetic, I figured I'd just live with it.
Today, however, I noticed that the top two tabs that hold my tablet in place are cracked. I have owned the case for only a month and this is a pretty serious flaw that could lead to my tablet falling out and breaking. I knew when I received the case that it was obviously cheaply made, but I expected to get more than a month's use out of it before worrying about it breaking. I sent an email to customer service because I want to know if they have any warranty. I immediately was sent a response stating that they are overwhelmed with emails and that a response will likely take a while, but I waited a month to get the case in the first place so I'm used to waiting with caseable.
My two-star rating comes from the fact that the case really is pretty. As much as I hate having to wait, getting the case "for free" (technically, the price of the case was built into the price I paid for the tablet) allows me to suppress my anger at their slow response and slow shipping. I want to give caseable the benefit of the doubt that they were wildly underestimating how popular these QVC deals would be and that they are really in over their heads trying to deal with all of these vouchers. I also respect that when I reached out to them on Facebook, they were really good at replying to everyone in the comments and, in my case, through direct messages.
I would only recommend caseable to those who have the free case vouchers. If you're patient and want a flashy case that you technically already paid for, sure. I would never tell anyone to spend real money to get disappointing quality. There are plenty of better tablet cases that are under $5 and lead to much less stress and headaches. Personally, I have a FileMate case that I just saw is being sold for $3 on walmart.com that has lasted for years with another 7 inch tablet I had and it's much nicer albeit not as colorful and fun to look at.
All that being said, I still have one more caseable voucher that I'll probably end up using to replace my currently cracked one."
“Hello, we are terribly sorry for the delayed delivery as your item was shipped out on November 28th.
Regarding the case, please email our team at support.us@caseable.com with your order number and an image of the cracks and damage, and we are happy to replace your case.
Again, our apologies. ”
"Ordered case for tablet 1/4/18. Today is 1/26/18 and still have not recieved it!"
“Hello,
We are terribly sorry for the delay. For queries, please write to support.us@caseable.com with your order number and they can give you further information. Your item has been shipped and will be with you soon. ”
"ordered the case on December 27 got sensor January 23 said it would’ve 5/10 more days until we got it I’m glad it was free because if it wasn’t I would want my money back would not ever order anything from them"
“Hello - we are very sorry for any delay you have experienced. Your item was shipped on the 16th and will be with you shortly. ”
"I attempted to cancel an order but to no avail. Response was very poor and could not receive credit, only gift certificate. Received one reply in German."
“Hello - we apologize for your experience with caseable. You have been refunded, please allow 2 - 3 business days for the amount to appear in your account. ”
"I received a kindle fire for a Christmas present. It came with a voucher for a free caseable. I ordered the non customized case on 12\25 and it said it would take 7-10 days. On 1/4, I emailed the company inquiring about my order. 1\10 I received an automated email that my case left the building. (There is no tracking information) On 1\14, I actually received a reply from Nico saying they are overwhelmed with orders and had to ship some to their office in Germany. He said to wait 5-10 days. It is now 1\24 a full month after ordering and I have yet to receive it. You're better off getting one from Amazon or a store."
“Hi -
We are terribly sorry for the delay. Every single item, including our artist designs offered on the site, are printed made-to-order, meaning every case needs to be produced before it can be shipped. We are sorry there was no tracking provided through the free shipping, and will improve that in the future. ”
"I received an Amazon Fire HD 10 for Christmas with a coupon for a case. In the beginning I was extremely excited at the thought of being able to design my own case as I'm a photographer and love having the opportunity to show off my work. I designed the case and placed my order on 12/30/17. It is now 1/24/18 and I have yet to receive my case and have no real way of contacting anyone at this company, I have tried to email only to receive and email back stating they would get back to me as soon as possible. They only answered 1 out of 2 emails and when I asked for a tracking number I was told:
1) Because they are over loaded with orders my was sent to Berlin. Which really makes no sense to me when I live in Manhattan and you have a plant in Brooklyn.
2) There is no tracking number. But we have contacted our shipping company and they will get back to us in a few days with an updated status on your item. If it get lost or shows it's lost we will reproduce it and send you a new one.
My problem with this is it sends mixed messages. How can you get the status of a package or know it's lost with out a tracking number. I'm at a point where I'm not sure they've even made this product yet. And to not be able to call and speak to and actual person or the lack of a phone number in and of its self is problematic for me. It doesn't seem the customers happiness with the service or product is a real issue for this company. I won't take my tablet out of the house without protection which really defeats the purpose of me having it.
I can be patient when I know whats going on, but when I have no information about the status of my order it doesn't make me want to patronize a business like this again. Nor recommend it to anyone I know "
“Hello,
We are so sorry for the delay! To help clarify some things:
1) The overflow of orders that were produced in Germany are sent automatically - unfortunately we can't filter by address, so although your address in Manhattan is close to our Brooklyn facility, it was still produced in Germany.
2) There was no tracking for the individual items provided through the free shipping with the voucher. For this we apologize. However, based on shipdate, we can look up the overall shipments sent to the US - so we can find out whether large shipments were misplaced, although not the individual packages within that shipment.
We apologize for any miscommunication. ”
"HERE IS THE LATEST EMAIL I RECEIVED TODAY:
Dear,
We would like to apologize for the delay on your order. Your order was produced and shipped.
You should receive your order within next week. Unfortunately, as it was sent without tracking, we are currently unable to provide you with a status update.
As shipping has taken too long recently, we have contacted our shipping provider and will receive an update within the next few days. However, if the update shows that your case has been lost by our shipping provider, we will reproduce and ship a replacement immediately. ( ME: FIRST, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO TRACK MY ORDER IF YOU CLAIM THERE ARE NO TRACKING #'S. SECOND "IF MY PACKAGE GETS LOST?? HMMM....SOUNDS LIKE IT ALREADY DID! IF YOU KNOW THAT SHIPPING HAS A TENDENCY TO LOSE PACKAGES...YOU SHOULD PROVIDE US TRACKING #'S, DUH!)
Please be aware that no action is required from your side. In case of a replacement, you will receive a shipping email and your order will be delivered to you within 5-7 working days. (ME: SO, I DON'T NEED TO INFORM YOU THAT I DIDNT RECIEVE MY UNTRACEABLE PACKAGE BUT, PSYCHICLY YOU'LL KNOW I DIDN'T RECEIVE IT. AND AUTOMACTICALLY SEND ME A NEW ONE IN 5 TO 7 DAYS...IM GUESSING FROM THE BROOKLYN FACILITY, RIGHT? You guys spend more engery railroading than making your product.)
We are working tirelessly to get your order to you as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience and deeply apologize for any inconvenience the delay may have caused.
Many thanks,
The caseable team"
“Hello,
We are incredibly sorry for the delay. As you can imagine, a lot of customers received their codes for Christmas along with their tablets, and we are doing our best to get everyone their items as quickly as we can! Unfortunately, with the high volume of orders, we have had to utilize our German facilities, and unfortunately, our system can't differentiate based on address - but we will try to do this in the future for our New York customers!
Your item was shipped out and, as our customer service agents have shared, will be with you soon.”
"Never, ever order off of this company. It is a rip-off and I can't believe QVC endorses them and send customer to them. You will be lucky if you get your case within three months. No excuse and their responses are in German or robot generated. Stay away!!!"
“Hello - if you are experiencing issues please reach out to our customer service at support.us@caseable.com with your order number and they are happy to assist you!”
A rep from Caseable.com, caseable.com, has responded:
