"TL;DR: Cocomelody fat-shamed my bridesmaid, and when I emailed the supervisors I never received a response. Refund was received. So my bridesmaid ordered her dress online through Cocomelody. She then received an email from a Lacey at around 1am MST stating they refused to take her dress because her measurements are "too large", then provided suggestions for type of dress, an empire waist and an A-line, which would look like a TENT on a curvy woman. My bridesmaid was understandably hurt. I then emailed this Lacey, calling her out on her behavior, which I never received a response for. My mother got involved, and called the number attached to their website. It put us in touch with an Abigail, who runs a boutique location in LA, I believe. She explained that it was outside her job to do anything directly because her store provides local dresses and doesn't deal with online orders, so she asked us to forward Lacey's email so she could put it in touch with the right people. She did, and I emailed this to the 'higher ups' and never received a response. Meanwhile, my bridesmaid emails Lacey back and asks for a refund which has been received. I still hadn't heard a response from the higher ups nearly 48 hours later, so I sent them a final email on July 1, 2022 to notify them that we took the refund and will be taking our business elsewhere. As of today (August 3rd) I have not received any response from the supervisors. As an aside: when speaking with cocomelody, they used the location of the online orders (China) as an excuse, citing the use of Google translate for the reason that the first email came across so badly. I quickly explained that wasn't the issue (nor would I take it as an explanation) given that Lacey should never have taken it upon herself to 'correct' my bridesmaid's order in the first place. I don't have any screenshots of this last point, as it was a phone call, but it only furthered my dislike for the company. Make of it what you will."

"I ordered my wedding dress from cocomelody during the memorial day sale, so it was discounted and also it was free to enter custom size measurements. I knew which dress I wanted but first asked if it was possible to add lining to it and remove the train, to which they quickly responded, sending images to confirm where I wanted the lining added. They also explained in detail how to add the customization fee to my order and it made sense. After I put in my order I thought it was an extremely low price for a custom wedding dress, which of course made me a little worried about the quality. After I put in my order I was contacted immediately for additional measurements. One of my measurements didn't quite make sense to them and they asked me to re-measure. It's a little tedious having to ask someone to re-measure you three times but I appreciated that the team at cocomelody wanted to make sure it fit me correctly. I'm sure other companies would of just taken down my funky measurements and blamed it on me when it didn't fit right, which is fair, but cocomelody actually cared enough that they wanted to make sure it fit. It only took about 6 weeks to make the dress, which I think was shorter than the original production quote. I was so nervous about the quality and if it would fit me. When I opened it and tried it on all my fears melted away because it was literally perfect, not a single flaw, and it fit perfectly too. My dress, and many of the dresses on their site, actually secure at the back with a ribbon corset instead of buttons, so it is even forgiving if I gain or lose any weight before my wedding, it's very adjustable. I will not need any alterations, so all and all I have paid just a couple hundred bucks on my wedding dress and don't need to spend any more which is incredible. I will say that the dress came with a built in bra but due to the size and shape of my **** I will need to get some sort of strapless push up bra in addition, but that's not something I blame on cocomelody at all that's just the nature of the beast as I'm sure my fellow large chested sisters will understand. So if you're on the fence about going to a bridal store or ordering "blind" online, I'm here to say I shared all your fears and anxieties and rolled the dice anyway and came out a winner. Highly recommend cocomelody."
"I bought a custom-measured wedding dress for myself. It looked great on the model, I may not have been as tall, but similar in build. I'm not sure where the measurements went wrong, but when I received it, it was pretty large in the chest and neck area. I could not return the dress since it was custom sized but was given $60 towards alterations, which I understand completely. Once my dress was altered and I tried it on again, it fit better... but it just wasn't the dress I envisioned, and had to go a completely different route. Overall, In my experience, I feel It's best to try on important dresses like that in person and get measured by a professional in person.
I went to Davids Bridal for my alterations and also where I found my new dress. The new dress wasn't a cool 300 like the one from Cocomelody but it still fit within my budget and they offer to finance. The workers are also super helpful and friendly and do a great job with alterations. "

Our customization reduces the possibility of alteration but doesn't guarantee 100% fitness. As you know, there is even about 2-3 times alteration for the stores. Because our customization is a kind of remote service. Another local fitting is recommended to make the dress fit like a glove. Actually, it is easier to alter the big dresses to make them smaller, than smaller dresses to make them bigger.

"The dress was supposed to be tailored to my measurements, but it arrived ill fitting and still had to be taken for more tailoring. The person I corresponded with didn't believe my original measurements and kind of pressured me into sending different ones. I regret using their "customization" because if I had just gone with a standard size, I may have ended up with a dress that fit better and was easier to alter. "

"I attempted to order a bridesmaid dress and I had several issues. I said I wanted to pay through PayPal and it at first did not re-direct me to pay, so it said my order was placed but had not been paid for. When attempting to pay for my order it just kept adding more dresses to my order. I attempted to speak to someone from customer service and they just told me to delete the extra dresses. That could not be done from my phone, which I understand happens at times, however, then the same issues continued with my computer. I finally figured it out after multiple attempts and basically just started my entire order and paid a different way. Very complicated process."

"I've shopped at local boutiques and honestly the prices there are just so high. I couldn't get myself to buy a dress at a boutique after seeing the quality of the try at home dresses from cocomelody. I'm so impressed at the appliques and stitching on the dresses and they honestly look better than some of dresses at local boutiques but are half the price. Even though most communication is through email, they're also really prompt at answering and never leave you hanging. I will definitely refer future brides here!"
