"I just got married on May 27th, so I am still in the afterglow of a successful wedding. My dress was lovely, but there were some problems in the process.
I ordered sample dresses which came quickly and were lovely. From the samples I chose a dress but it needed some alterations to fit correctly. Cocomelody offered free custom fitting and based on the reviews of other women I decided to use this service. We provided about 20 different measurements and then they needed us to remeasure a couple of things that they thought were "off" about my measurements. I am 5'4" and a little "fluffy" so the measurements were critical to having the dress fit me. I also asked that the neckline be raised a bit because it was too low for my body type and age.
I recieved excellent communication from Cocomelody as the dress was being made including some photos of the dress in progress. That was a great way to keep tabs on the process of the dress.
The dress arrived about 2 weeks ahead of schedule and I quickly tried it on... and while it is beautiful and zipped up the back, it was 5 inches too long, and the neckline was open to my navel! I had to scramble to find a local seamstress with experience with wedding gowns to provide extensive alterations on the dress before I could wear it. I had to spend another $250 to have the dress made to fit me and fix the problems so it could be worn. Maybe my expectations were too high, but when you spend $850 on a dress that is advertized to be custom fit, I expected the lenght and the neckline to be correct.
In the end, the dress was a big hit and I felt like a beautiful bride. I just want other people to know that they should leave time and $$ to alter the dress even with the custom tailoring."

Their tailor's measurements, even for custom orders, are always off, their return policy is **** (you pay for the shipping and a restocking fee, if you do the return in 7 days otherwise you're SOL). Quite actually the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Go to literally ANY other site for your dresses. Save yourself and your friends money, hours of headaches, and ultimately get better quality dresses instead of shopping at this horrendous place."
"The first dress I bought had to be returned, even though I went by their size charts the dress was wayyy too small. They do not exchange, u must refund, however they charge you a restocking fee so you will not receive all your moneys back. Then you have to pay for the dress to be returned. So if you follow their size chart you will be disappointed and you end up paying an additional 60$ for the correct size dress. Customer service is lacking, if any. Once I returned the dress that did not fit I paid EVEN more EXTRA to give them my measurements hoping this would help. Received new dress, while it fits better, it is still not fitting correctly, even after 63883638 emails about my measurements. 2/10 would not recommend this company. The breast pads are also in the very middle of the chest. I’m talking like under your chin, right in the middle. Not comfortable or appealing. "

Our dresses run true to our Cocomelody’s size chart. Because designers may use different grade rules to determine dress sizes. For example, it’s completely possible to be a size 0 in your daily clothes or other designers’ dresses, and with the same measurements be a size 2 or 4 in our dresses. Please do compare your own measurements of Bust, Waist and Hips (i.e. Bottoms) with those in our size chart. If your measurements are between sizes, custom made size is recommended. For the restocking fee, the main reason is that our dresses are newly made to order, not off-the-rack dresses. So it enables us to offer numerous colors, full sizes including custom-size, and many styles for our great customers to choose from. The combination is huge. Therefore, the restocking fee is set for the dress price.

As to the custom size dresses, our tailors make dresses according to the measurements you offered without seeing you in person. Our customization reduces the possibility of alteration but doesn't guarantee 100% fitness. As you know, there is even about 2-3 times alteration for the stores.
