"Antec power supply was delivered with burnt insides. Contacted compuplus customer support. they said call antec!"
"I am trying to purchase a router from this company with my Thai VISA credit card. The website condition show nothing about not accepting foriegn card, since VISA is accepted world wide, So I assume that it's ok. Now they e-mail me that they don't accept foriegn card and will not sell the item. I mean that sucks!!!!! Why lose opportunity on making a new customer. I send the reply back asking for any advises, they simply say "Sorry, we don't accept foriegn card""
"I placed my order on Oct 12 and it took them over a week to ship it. After placing the order, I got am email that said that they were "closed for Holiday". But no where on their website did it say that they were closed. And there are no big holidays during that week.
Other then that, they have good prices, but very expencive shipping."
"If you're planning on having your order sent to a different address than your billing address, prepare to be sent through a whole bunch of hoops with this company. After having to verify my home billing address, my company's name to where I wanted the item shipped, and my bank's customer service number, they then wanted me to further have me add this new address to my credit card and fax them a copy of TWO "official" documents (including my business name and address). All for a single item totalling $30. There are plenty of other companies out there with low prices that won't have you jump through this many hoops to have an item sent to a different physical address. Avoid this company."
"Bought an SD 802 card, which ended up not working with my hardware, but not Comp-U-Plus's fault
Although shipping seemed a little steep, I got my SD-card promptly.
Returning it was a breeze, since I didn't incur any return BullSh*t re-stocking fee, especially since the product didn't work on my hardware.
Would recommend."
"On Monday around noon I ordered an Intel BOXD865GBFLK (P4 motherboard with integrated graphics and gigabit ethernet), an Intel BX80532PG2800D (P4 2.80C CPU), an Antec TruePower 430Watt power supply, a WD360 SATA 10K RPM HD, and a legacy to SATA HD power cable adaptor.
The order arrived here in Denver on Friday via FedEx, complete, in factory sealed containers, and in good condition.
When I placed the order, the order taker interrupted me non-stop. I had exact manufacturer part numbers, so if he would have just shut up, I could have given him the order MUCH more easily. At one point I said, "I really wish you would just let me read the entire part number without you interrupting with your guess at the rest of the number", but I couldn't even get that sentence completed. After finally managing to communicate the order, I asked him if all of the products were indeed in stock, and he muttered some mumbo-jumbo about the computer parts industry being "very dynamic, etc.", and he couldn't be sure. That worried me. He said he had no mechanism to check availability. He seemed very "put out" that I would actually try to be a good consumer and ask a couple of precautionary questions - questions I'm sure they would later say I should have asked if something had gone wrong with the order. Against my better judgement, I went ahead and finalized the order and hung up.
It was a day later when I discovered this web site(resellerratings.com) and was horrified to read the terrible feedback on the Comp-U-Plus company. But to their credit, they had immediately emailed an order confirmation, then 2 days later sent a FedEx tracking number. Two day FedEx shipping takes 5 days when you don't ship the order for 3 days. The shipping cost was pretty high at over $40. All their prices (except shipping) are very low which explains their continued existence. I did receive my order just fine, but I'll go elsewhere next time. The low prices are not worth the week of worry."
"I ordered a CDRW/DVD combo for my laptop on october 12. Even with the expensive 2nd day shipping witch is the least expensive offered by them the price was still good and I thought "It's not bad that I'll receive the product sooner that I needed". Right ? WRONG !!! In the email confirming my order number was a note that ... they are closed for holiday and my order will be procesed on october 20 (8 days later). Since I think it's unfair to let me know that they are closed AFTER I placed my order I will never buy from them again !"
"I ordered Netgear WAG511 combo wireless PC card. Compuplus had best price I could find, and the product was shipped promptly."
"Fast shipment, good packaging, item flawless. Cheapest price around, even with the outrageous shipping it was still the best price to be found."
"I ordered a TDK AID + 440N 4x Internal ATAPI E-IDE Indi DVD Multi Format DVD rewriter from CompuPlus.com. I noticed how so amny sellers rated this company poorly, but i still bought from them because they were the cheapest store even with the expensive 2 day shipping. Personally, the 2 day shipping was worth it because of the quickness and trackign # availiability. I got my shipment 2 days later in great condition. "
"I ordered a 1700 DLT3C advertised on their site. I have heard of sites not sending the correct stepping, but they came through for less shipped then anyone else and with the right CPU. I will do business again."
"At first, I was very pleased with the purchase process, with the (common) exception of the minimum shipping charge. I didn't mind since I figured I'd have the product soon. The order was placed Wednesday night around 4pm EST. I didn't really anticipate having it until Monday. Monday comes and I am still not provided with a tracking number for my shipment, although I did get two confirmation emails. The first saying my order was confirmed and the second confirming my credit card being billed. I sent customer service an email inquiring about the lack of a tracking number, to which they replied the component was out of stock. I was only told this after inquiring AFTER I expected to have the product in-hand. My order should not have been confirmed, I should NOT have been charged and I should have been notified prior to my expected delivery date. I ended up upgrading to a similar in-stock component for only the difference in part cost with over-night delivery (IE they didn't up-charge me for delivery). The component is due here tomorrow. I will likely not purchase from this vendor again.
Update: 8/12/03 - Product received via FedEX next-day air as promised. At least they kept up their end of the bargain but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the near bait-and-switch (I had to give them $29 more). The item that was out of stock still shows in stock on their website too..."
"ordered on Thurs July 31, 2003, they attempted to call me on Friday Aug 1 to verify address, I was not around. I then called on monday, spoke to Susan who was very courteous, she verified my address and my product shipped out that day overnight federal express. I received my item in perfect condition on Tuesday, that earns a big A+ for Compu +"
"The company's prices were very good, although I do believe that they do profit from inflating the shipping costs. There wasn't even an option for standard ground shipping, so the least expensive shipping option ran around $20. I received the shipment promptly, and everything arrived correctly, and undamaged. However, I found a better deal on the same equipment on another site, so I decided to return the merchandise. I filled out the RMA form on the site and triple-checked to make sure I followed the return instructions exactly.
Almost three weeks went by and I still did not hear anything from Compuplus confirming that they received my return, and would refund my money. Since I didn't hear anything, I decided to email the company myself to see if they had received it.
The customer service representative succinctly informed me that they did not receive my package, and that I would not be getting a refund. However, I had a secret weapon that I did not mention in my first email to customer support, my UPS tracking number. When I looked up the tracking number, it clearly showed that they received the package on July 2, and was even signed for by one of the employees!
I proceeded to email customer support back and tell them my tracking number, which proved that they had the package for about 2 weeks! A few hours after I sent them my proof, they sent me an email saying they received my return, and I would receive a full refund.
This leads me to believe had I not emailed them and had a tracking number which proved my case, they would have not refunded my money. It seemed like that once I emailed them with the tracking number showing that they not only received, but also signed for my return, they miraculously found my package!
I would definitely not deal with this dishonest company again. It is obvious that they were trying to cheat me out of my refund, and only after I proved that I caught them in a lie, is when I finally got my money back.

"This product was DOA on arrival. Their return policy is made as difficult as possible. On their website, they have additional obstacles such as various charges on returns. They charged me $over $65 shipping charges, yet Fedex charges much less for the same item. I will report on how long it took for the credit back. "
