"Excellent product and speedy delivery. My product did not ship the same day as promised but it was overnighted the following day. I received my package one day before the promised date! Keep up the excellent work and competitive pricing. This was my second purchase from Compuvest.

"**WARNING** STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR!!
I ordered an Intel P4 CPU because they had the best price on the Net. The first strange encounter was "Mark" contacting me via email to confirm my address. Because it was a Rural Route address, he was suspicious and stated that they don't see many RR# or RD# type of addresses. I called him about his strange email and he treated me as if I were a credit card thief and was trying to pull a fast one. Bad customer service incident number one. After I brought this to his attention he tried to apologize and said that it would be sent out immediately via their 3-day mail service, which is what I had paid for in the first place. A WHOLE WEEK later, no package, no CPU, but my credit card was promptly charged. It's amazing how THAT doesn't take a week to do. I called yet again and got the runaround. After stating that they were out of stock at that the time, I made the rep stay on the line while I went to the website. Funny enough, their own website showed that the item was in stock. I confronted him with this and he became nervous and hostile and said I could cancel the order if I didn't like it. More bad customer service. I told him that they needed to have their website reflect that they were out of stock and he told me that they didn't have the TIME to constantly update their site when stock was depleted. Can you believe this?!?!?! I demanded to speak to the manager. I was conveniently put on hold for 40 minutes, but it was toll free and I wasn't paying for it. (Thank God for speakerphones). Finally "Paul" got on the line and repeated, almost word for word, what I had already heard. He said that my credit card was credited the amount since the stock was not available. (This is what they were doing while I was on hold for those 40 minutes) I asked him who had authorized to cancel my order without my permission or consent, he said 'well, no one'. I demanded that he either send the CPU, NOW!! - via overnight shipping or I was contacting the BBB. My issue was this: if I hadn't called them to find out where the hell my order was, my account would still be charged as I am typing this, with no product in my hand! I asked him about this and why the customer was not contacted as soon as it was known that there was a problem. I was told that they couldn't contact EVERY customer whenever there is a small problem with the order. A small problem?!?!?!? Having over $200 of my money and no product is a BIG problem! To try and cover his ass, he said that they didn't have my phone number to call me. But when I rebutted that they had my email address on file and that they had contacted me once, and that they could have contacted me again that way, he had nothing to say. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from CompuVest!"
"BEWARE OF COMPUVEST (RENTON, WA) AND THEIR REFUND POLICY ON PRODUCTS
I purchased a Refurbished View Sonic Video Projector from CompuVest ($1,000+)via the Internet in December '04. The projector had a problem with a crooked picture that could not be fixed using the zoom, focus, keystone, or other controls available to the user. I tried to get technical support from CompuVest and they were unable to help me. I told them I wanted to send the unit back and get a refund.
I was given an RMA number and sent it back. As I write this on 1/10/05 I still have not been issued a credit. They said they were waiting for my "ok" to authorize them to deduct a "15% restocking fee" before processing the credit. I of course declined, saying that it was a faulty product and that's why it was being returned. Their contention is that it is not defective, which is flat out untrue. They couldn't help me over the phone and I couldn't solve it on my own so I got an RMA number and sent it back. I feel like I am being strong-armed for $150+ on a defective product. Needless to say, we are headed to court to resolve this issue. I will NEVER buy another product from these people and I will tell everyone I know about the experience I had with them and their attitude toward this problem. Email me at ****@**** and I will forward you their “response” emails to my problem. It will give you a good feel for how you will be dealt with if you have a problem with any of their products.
WARNING:
There are many reviews for CompuVest posted on ResellerRatings.com, going back to 2000. Before you buy from this company, carefully read the "Very Dissatisfied" reviews - there are a lot of them and they are very detailed. See how many of them mention CompuVests's 15% restocking policy (which even applies to defective products and products that were not initially ordered or were substituted for what was ordered). See how many mention the derogatory, argumentative, and even combative attitude of their employees towards their customers and their customer's issues. And finally, see how many question the general business practices of CompuVest. If you take the time read through the 20+ pages of user comments I think you'll save yourself a lot of grief. I wish I had found ResellerRatings.com and thoroughly read the posted comments before I bought my projector from CompuVest.
I'd be wary of the "positive" reviews for this vendor. Either they wrote the review themselves, or the person ordering didn't have a specific product issue and hence didn’t have to interact with them. If you have a problem with your order, their true colors will come out quickly, and you’ll understand why the negative reviews and complaints for CompuVest go into so much detail. IT’S BECAUSE THEY MAKE PEOPLE VERY ANGRY!
If you've had a bad experience with CompuVest, and would like to share it, I'd like to hear about it. Make your voice heard!
Additionally, if you'd like to be part of a possible class-action law suit against CompuVest (for the reasons listed above), email me at ****@****."
"First time, I had some problem to install the drive, but it was my fault. They were very helpful! Right now, it works well and I recommend them as a great seller."

"I called Compuvest to order a card. They had sold out of the card I wanted the day I ordered, so the sales rep offered a better substitute for $1.50 more. I checked out the card and it was from the specific vendor I wanted, so I placed the order.
I got the card in reasonable time, but found they had shipped a "similar" card from a different mfr., NOT the specific one I ordered. So I called them to notify them of their mistake and gave them the part number that they had shipped and the part number I had ordered. The rep told me they were out of the card I ordered and could not get any more.
So I was willing to RMA the wrong card and pay some more for an "upgrade" but the rep I spoke to said he wanted me to pay the shipping to send the wrong card back AND also pay for shipping on a new card to me. In other words, I had to eat the cost of shipping BOTH ways, for THEIR mistake. In addition, he refused to do anything on the price of the new card, ignoring the fact the mistake was originally made on his side. He kept referring me to their website and quoting me policy instead of offering to help, offering to compensate, or take responsibility in any way AT ALL.
To add insult to injury, he kept repeating that the RMA department would decide what to credit me and whether or not they would charge me restocking, implying the whole time that they would be doing me a favor; he never offered to make a note in my customer file or lift a finger in any way, shape, or form. How would the RMA department know what the original sales rep told me?
This rep eventually got very belligerent with me and outright hung up on me when I kept insisting that this was bad customer service and that if I did what he told me, I would be paying for THEIR mistake multiple times over.
I would have been OK with some kind of compensation for their mistake (like meeting me "half-way"), even though they should have covered it all. But they refused to do ANYTHING.
The tone of the entire call was that they were doing me a favor by letting me do business with them, that when I told them they had made an error, I was making a very suspicious accusation which could not be trusted, and that customer service was just a meaningless phrase.
Compuvest is "just fine" if they don’t screw up and you get what you ordered. If they screw up, forget it – they don’t value their customers at all. Don’t support companies like this."
"I had purchased a LanParty 875Pro motherboard, it had shipped about when they said it would, nothing sooner nothing later.
My only complaint is I ordered a 875Pro and I got a 875ProB.
They're lucky the two boards are almost identical (but there are obvious differences) and I'm not a picky customer.
Overall I'm satisfied with compuvest, just wish I got the exact motherboard I ordered."
"I had very good service. I made a mistake on my order, but called the customer service and it was quickly handled for me.The price was great, fast shipping and good customer support.I would shop there again. Thanks.

"Very unsatisfactory experience, would never buy from them again. Ordered a digital camera by phone, was told the camera was in stock and would ship that day, with 1-2 day arrival. No further notice until I contacted them a week later, they told me the camewra was coming to them from NYC, then would be shipped to me. Then they sent me the wrong tracking number.
When it arrived it was (literally) rattling around. It was in a Canon box, but the original packaging was not there. There was no warranty card, something Canon told me when I called them that should definitiely be there.. All I got from customer service was phone calls telling me that I had CompuVest's one year warranty -- like that would make me feel confident, right? (Actually, the customer service guy acted like he didn't know what a warranty card was.)
I'm going to fight if the try to charge me a restocking fee. I think that must be how they make their money. I would never deal with them again, and can't wait to be done with them."
"Excellent experience, found what I was looking for at a fair and reasonable price. Received order in fairly decent time and I was able to track my order to know exactly when I would receive it and was happy with how items were packaged. Will definatly buy from again.

"Not bad at all. Bought from them DVD Drive Targus USB. Webordering worked great. No problems at all with getting the product.Good experience.
"
"They have a very bad customer service. The site is nice, but when I tried to reach them on the phone, they were very rude to me. I needed some help about international credit cards, and they couldn't understand my needs. It took me 1 week to get an answer by email , that they could help. And I needed the product urgent!
That's not quality service, they must try to understand customer's questions so they answer what they REALLY need to know.

"I was verry happy with the whole order & confirmation and shipped / received process. Everything was just as prommised. Thanks again.
