"I purchased a refurbished Dell Win/XP-Pro PC from the Geeks, fast shipping, well packed great price. However it was missing an installed stated component and the recovery disk as stated in the ad. Resolved fast with their Tech Services folks. The next business day a Monday from my call on Friday I was messaged that the parts were being shipped and the issue closed. Thanks Geeks, the machine was put into service on Sunday and has been rock solid since. Once the parts arrive they will be installed. If you need it the Geeks have it! If you need it fast the Geeks offer it and well packaged never a problem all these years. Returns or failed devices ask for an RMA and it is quickly handled. Few do as well in this industry as they do. Good selection, great prices, fast shipping and Tech Support that follows through with what they promise to do. Customer Service is friendly also. A true win-win where so many others are "take your chances when you click BUY!" Thanks Geeks keep up the great work.

"11/05/09 Computer Geeks.com Third order I have placed with them. Shipped me wrong part. Called Customer Service/Tech Support. Immediately acknowledged that they made an error. Issued return authorization and advanced shipment of replacement part. New part will arrive in 2 days. All personnel(Peter-Inventory, Guy-Tech Support & Erik-Shipping) were extremely helpful and professional. Great job all around!!! I'll keep coming back."

"I ordered the UHS-301. Their description page says 2.5mm plug and no adapter comes with it. If what I got was correct, then that would have been fine, I'll buy my own adapter and be done with it. I got the unit, had a 2.5mm plug BUT, it also came with an adapter. That's what started the confusion. Note that from all other sites that I've seen, the UHS-301 should have a 3.5mm plug and comes with a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter (so what was it that I got?). But when I asked about this, I got 2 replies (after a pretty long wait). One was no, it doesn't come with an adapter (which doesn't explain the adapter that's now sitting at home that came with it) and one that said we'll ship you the correct part (so it does come with one and I got the wrong one?). Then later, talked on the phone with them explaining this. They overnighted me the "correct adapter" (the effort is appreciated) which turned out to be a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter... totally useless to me and shows that perhaps they weren't really listening... I'm confused as to what model did I get, was it really the UHS-301? If so, why does it have a 2.5mm jack? Are there different models of it? What's with the adapter that supposedly not included? Why the contradicting emails from Geeks.com? Who's right?

----Update----
I received an email from customer support at Altec Lansing, the manufacturer, saying that the UHS301 does not have a 2.5mm plug, it comes with a 3.5mm plug. So what did Geeks.com sell and ship me? I forwarded this email to Geeks.com and waiting on a reply.

"I don't even know how I found out about Geeks.com, but I think somebody recommended it to me. I placed my first order in January 2002 and I have been delighted with their products ever since. I just placed my 55th order the other night. I tend to judge a business on whether I would shop there again. After seven years and 55 orders, it is safe to say that I judge Geeks.com pretty highly. I highly recommend them to everyone."

"I ordered Kodak EasyShare through Geeks.com. I got prompt delivery & then nightmare started. Camera was defective, it was getting switched off every 5 minutes. I returned it and after a long delay I got the substitute. A different model without me knowing about it. I was never asked that they are going to send a different model all together. I would have been okay with it but there was no cable sent with this different model. I was not able to hook it up with computer. When I complained, I was sent an incompatible cable. When I complained again, I was told that I will get a replacement cable. I was waiting for the replacement & after few days I checked with customer service again. This time somebody else replied saying that they sent the correct cable last time. Nothing can be done. So a July 8th order is still unusable on 27th Oct. Terrible customer service. I am very disappointed and gave up on it. I have asked for a RMA number to return the unit. I am not sure if I will get my money back, I have to bear the shipping costs twice.
Terrible experience. I won't recommend anyone to buy anything from Geeks.com

"I've purchased from them through buy.com market place. The monitor was shipped without appropriate packing, so it came in damaged. I called the customer support and explained what happened and they issued an RMA for full refund without a hassle. I was able to check the status of my case on their web site. the only thing I lost was time - 24 days from purchase to receiving refund."

"as of 10/23/09 I still have not received my order which was to be her on the 10/22 and finally showed receipt from FedEx on 10/22 which was the day it was estimated to be delivery and when I contacted Geeks they told me that that was wrong that it was in transit to Memphis, Tn. Why would a company send somethig all most to the east cost to get it to central kansas. This makes no sense to me at all. They told me that is how they ship things. Crazy and will probable not order form them again as I did not expect to have to wait 8 days to get items form the west coast. Why send it from the west coast to the east cost and back half way across the country(waist money I guess). Order number: W4540152

and this is from the email I got form Geeks on Mon 10/19/2009 10:04 AM. Why lie to customer if you are not going to ship for 5 or 6 days later. Not good business pratice. This is realy poor customer relations. Prices are good but order 2 weeks before you need it or you might be disapointed with the results. The charged me for it day after I ordered it so the had my money a week free. BAD DEAL

"Sigh! Another bum hard drive from Compgeeks... caught this one in time to get an RMA... I have three other Seagate Hard Drives (2 200 GB and 1 400 GB) that were either DOA or died outside 90 days. The 400 GB was an RMA replacement for one that was DOA. Guess Geeks.com & Seagate Drives = no go! Too bad, cause I like Geeks! Also, stay away from the Dell GX280 refurbs...bad capacitors!

Note, received a call back from Geeks about this review... Told him about the RMA in progress, received no assurances other than they'd check the drive before shipping it. My other three drives? Chalk them up to experience.

"This has got to be the worst online seller for delivery time. They sent an email on the 10th saying the order was shipped. It then turns out the order was shipped on the 15th. Why has this happened every time I've ordered from them? I am very unhappy with Geeks service, and don't believe I will do it again.

After finally receiving my order which was ordered on 10-10-09. I opened the box, which by the way had no damage at all. And found a damaged box that my computer case which I ordered was in. Opened that box, and found a totally damaged computer case inside. It should have been caught, and put aside before even considering shipping it out. It was shipped back to Geeks for a refund of 29.07 in which Geeks stated they would give. The case was received by Geeks, and to this day 11-06-09 we have not received our refund. What part of there statement of being in business for 13 years, and wanting nothing but happy customers should people believe? All we see is a company that ships out damaged goods, and then steals the money due you in return. All I want is my refund. And Computer Geeks.com can go away as they are headed. Where is it Kristopher?

Thank you for my refund finally. It only took a month to get it. I will still say you are a company on it's way out because of problems like this. People need to be fired over there. And better people need to be hired to stop this from happening. And because of this ordeal I will never, ever, order from Geeks again. Good luck to all!
