"So far, I am thrilled with Cojmpaq P4 w/XP Pro. This is a terrific computer, and whoever set it up -- Geeks or HP -- worked wonders. Boots up fast, went right onto out network, operates flawlessly, has good complement of software ant takes whatever else I need to add easily. I have purchased a lot of equipment from Geeks, but--again, so far -- this P4 is great buy at great price. Hats off to Geeks."

"I wanted to publicly make known my experiences with this terrible source for gaming/computer needs to hopefully save someone else the headache I have been dealing with for some time now. Geeks.com seems to have great prices both online, and for those who are local to southern California (specifically Oceanside). However, their quality of product leaves something to be desired. In September I purchased an Xbox 360 elite. It was refurbished, but I have bought refurbished items before and been happy with the result (not from Geeks.com however). It came with a 90 day warranty, so I thought it couldnt be all that bad. My first Xbox made it about 50 days, and died. The next one they gave me only lasted a month. Within the last week, I have gone through 2 additional Xbox's, both of which died within 24 hours. Geeks.com refuses to provide me with a refund, and requires that everytime I have a warranty replacement request that I drive all the way back to Oceanside to have my box replaced yet again with another non-working box. Be VERY careful with this retailer. They provide low quality products, with next to no chance of a return. 90% of the items offered at their online store or warehouse are refurbished, and those that are not refurbished are terribly over priced. If I return the xbox again, I will be given another sub-par quality xbox, or a store credit for other stuff that I dont want. I just would like to have my money refunded to me.

Update: I was contacted by Geeks.com and issued a refund for the full purchase price of the item. They even offered to pre-pay for the shipping to get the item back to their location. I am pleased with the customer service that I received. That being said, its a shame that it had to get to the point of me writing a negative review on this website for my case to get any attention. My other purchases from Geeks.com in the past have been fine though.

"These people are horrible! I placed a order on November 20, 2009 and called back on November 23, 2009 to check the status of it being shipped out. I was advised on the 23rd that I would receive my tracking number via email later that day. I received a email saying that they canceled my order. It gave no other reason. I called and they said that the product was no longer available and that I now have to wait 7 days to receive my refund. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THE CUSTOMER! THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND NOW TELLING ME THAT I CANNOT GET IT BACK FOR AT LEAST 7 DAYS! Terrible Business!"

"I thought That the prices were good, and that the shipping was good, and reliable, and the products were what i expected. The Checkout process was very simple and quik, and i love the fact that they have savings almost all of the time. I have been a customer for 4 years, and have more than 1 geeks.com account, and have spent well over $1500 there. I have had a defective product before, however, they made it very simple to replace, and i would still not go anywhere else for electonics. "

"The product was a media player that wouldn't play the advertised types of files, defaulted to PAL (though sold where it should be NTSC), and only produced a black/white picture (though the videos were in color). Completely unsatisfactory. Geeks simply refunded my money and provided a prepaid label. Wonderful!"

"I have been purchasing from Geeks.com for several years, probably make at least 30 - 40 purchases per year. I repair & sell computer systems and they are my #1 parts source. Guess they must be pretty good, huh, for me to just keep on buying from them? Their prices are hard to beat, plus their shipping rates (especially Fedex Ground) are great - even the occasional FREESHIP deals!
Anyway, I have to praise them for the primary reason that I constantly deal with them - the absolutely best Customer Support around! It is most appreciated that when you send them an email with a question they ACTUALLY READ IT and respond appropriately. Seems like that is a real rarity nowadays, folks! I get so irritated when companies just reply with stupid "canned" responses, or responses that are obviously having nothing at all to do with your actual problem or concern! For example, I recently purchased a "barebones" Gateway system from them. I tried my darndest to get help from the actual manufacturer (Gateway) support - it simply did NOT MATTER how I phrased my post on their website - I just kept getting the same stupid response from their support people - which absolutely DID NOT have a darned thing to do with solving my actual problem. I sent an email to Geeks support, got a reply within about an hour - yes, an hour! And, that reply was specific to the problem I was actually having! Thanks, C.F., by the way, much appreciated!

"I have been a customer for about 10 years now of Geeks.com. My most recent purchase I purchased was for several items. One of the items purchased was a wireless keyboard and mouse. I didn't notice that it was Portuguese format. Rather than make me even ship it back geeks refunded me the cost of this imediately. I havent always been totally happy with all my purchases at geeks but usually do get what I pay for. I can for sure say that Geeks has always answered and took care of all my problems. "Purchased a monitor from Geeks. Item was shipped loose in a box. Did not work upon arrival. Geeks wants me to pay for the shipping to return the item. I will never order from Geeks again unless they do something about this. Totally unacceptable.
