With the indicated purchase I had bought an IDE to USB adapter for transferring files between computers, a really nice 480 Watt power supply and a Genica IDE Removable Mobile rack with tray. The completed purchase with shipping was under $35 and it was at my front door within 2 working days.
The mobile rack and power supply are working excellent in my computer and the IDE to usb has been working just fine for transferring files.
My advice would be and usually is to check out geeks for all of your computer parts and accessory needs."

"I had ordered a power supply and a motherboard which, according to the website, was brand-new. It was received in a very timely fashion. The power supply was fine with no issues. However, the motherboard was in a badly damaged box and definitely looked used. When I tried it out it would not post.
I called geeks.com and they told me send it back. I received an RMA # almost immediately from them. I sent it back and they confirmed it would not post. They then sent me another motherboard which definitely looked brand-new.
I was satisfied with the customer service. I am not happy, however, that they sent me a motherboard that was clearly used and then I had to pay to send it back to them. Overall, I would give their customer service high marks and the vendor average marks, but this whole thing could have been prevented in the first place had they sent me a new motherboard in the first place."
"Last week I ordered a mini Bluetooth dongle, 2.1 speaker system, and a CPU heat-sink/fan. Perhaps it was not my lucky day, or perhaps it was the mad
rush they had during a “ship4less” sale, in any event all three items ordered were not as they appeared.
Problem #1: The Bluetooth device was not to be found but, the opened plastic container, driver CD and instructions were there, but no device! This was due to the poor job of sealing the package before shipping. The tiny device probably fell out somewhere between California and Tennessee.
Problem #2: The socket 478 heatsink and fan dimensions were a lot larger than the website displayed. It was only supposed to (h)53mm x (w)70mm, what arrived was over (w)100mm x (d)83mm x (h)81mm. There is no way what arrived would ever fit in a low profile case
Problem #3: The advertised 2.1 speaker system should have consisted of two 10W 2.75” full range & 5W tweeter satellites paired with a 6.5” 30W Subwoofer! What arrived was two puny 2W 1.5” x 3” oval shaped drivers paired with a fantastically awful 5W 4” subwoofer. Oh well, live and learn.
The resolution: GEEKS offered me a full refund provided I send the speakers and Bluetooth packaging materials back. Geeks, however is allowing me to keep the gargantuan CPU heatsink/fan... Guess they have no use for it either. Finally they offered me 10% off my next order, and credited $10 right away, though that may not be enough to cover the return postal costs.
Am I disappointed with Geeks this time around? You bet’cha. Would I do business with them again? Almost certainly! For nearly 8 years they have been doing a great job with very little incident all while keeping prices low and variety high. Plus, I can always count on friendly and courteous staff when and if I need to call. A cause for concern is that detailed and correct product information is not being maintained and that during a mad type “ship4less” sale; quality control may have become an issue needing attention.
Sorry, GEEKS, I like ya’ll a lot, but you’ve kinda really let me down this time. Let’s try and make it right next time. Please note that I will do a much better job sealing and sending your package back to than you did for me.
Was told three days ago that I received a refund... Have yet toreceived it. They lied, pure and simple. Tried to help them out by offering an accurate product description of the speaker set. Guess what folks? It's still wrong on their website. Accuracy and honesty is no longer a tennant of computer geeks
It has only cost me $16 to get "nothing" from Computer Geeks. That $10 credit was not enough to cover the shipping costs back to CA, and it was not even a credit... It was partial refund. How insulting!
Though they may have the nicest costomer service, they are however ineffective... Not satisfied at all now and would not recommend them to anyone."

"I've only ordered twice from Geeks.com, and am presently awaiting the shipment of the second order.
I order from them because their prices are goods, and they offer USPS shipping. Many sites unfortunately require courier delivery for international customers, which makes them prohibatively expensive.
They claim orders typically ship within 24-48 hours, and try to ship orders placed before 10am PST the same day. They also indicate international orders may require additional processing time. Unfortunately, it has been my experience on both occasions that this additional processing means days added to the order (not counting weekends).
Perhaps they don't think that an extra day or two matters, given international shipments can take many weeks. In my case however, the typical transit time is usually 7-10 days, even for USPS mail, so this delay is quite significant.
International postage does require filling out a customs declaration, but that alone shouldn't add days to the process.
Despite the delays, I will continue to order from them based on price alone."
"Nice LCD monitor arrived with a rattle and an all white display. It was Friday, after business hours, so I sent an email complaint. When there was no response to my email by noon Monday, I called. Jeanine was very nice and took the information and agreed to send out a replacement immediately. I got an RMA number to use for the return and gave them my CC# with the understanding that if they didn't get the old one back in 30 days I would be charged for the new one. So far so good. I'll be shipping the old one back tomorrow, and hope the new one does not rattle. "
