"This purchas was the largest thing I have ever done on EBAY. It all went great, I realy like the fact that I had to fill out and fax back a signature authorizing from. The delivery was wonderful too, I was not at home when the package was delivered but FEDEX would not leave it with out a signature. So after calling FEDEX it was arranged to have it delivered 2 days latter when I would be home. I think the whole experience was GREAT and my Art Major Daughter LOVES her new printer!!!!"

"Refurbished? More like defective. Costly and annoying transaction overall.

I had ordered a PS3-60GBR - A refurbished SONY Sony PlayStation 3 w/ 60GB HDD @ $379.99 + $19.17 == $399.16.

Item in the product description was described as "like new" - same day it arrived I found this to be far from the case.

The case of the unit was marred in several places, and actually had the outer shell broken in one place. Since all the parts were there, and I thought it might just be cosmetic damage, I connected it to my hdtv and tried the startup (exactly following the included directions from Sony.) It not only failed to start the first time, it failed to start 5 times in a row.

The 6th time when it finally started, I decided to upgrade the firmware thinking that might solve the startup issues. Connecting to the wireless in my house, I started the update progress, when the unit froze up.. Various attempts to reboot it over several hours by various means including hooking it to the PC, attempting a USB boot, CD boot etc all failed.

Still keeping in mind that customers pay the return fee at overstockdealz, I thought I might be able to remove the hard drive, put it into a external, and by making it a slave install the upgrade bios from Sony. This failed immediently once I looked behind the face plate, and saw that the "blue screw" used for the hard drives in the PS3 was completely worn down, and impossible to unscrew.

Cutting my losses at this point, within 24 hours of when it arrived, I had applied for a RMA, and prepared the defective unit for it's trip to the return center (Which was in a different place than the original source.)

Also, due to overstockdealz's notes about "items must be returned within 14 or 15 days + suggestions for delivery confirmation" I ended up paying not only the normal shipping fee for a 19lb ltem, but also UPS 3 day + Adult sig. Overall to about $30

I have written them a email expressing my disappointment, and received back a generated notice of things I already knew.

Overall, a very poor experience that ended up costing me $30 just for trying the company for the first time. I definately would not try from this company again, I have tried and still use various refurbished products, and this overall wasn't refurbished, it was broken.

Will not deal with this company again - A bad experience with the unit + $30 cost just to return a product that was clearly defective (Which explains why their return period is so short). If they would cover shipping and attempt to actually rectify the overall poor transaction, or have a person actually respond to my complaint, I would leave a better review.

But instead, in this case, I felt like I got screwed.

"I ordered a brown zune that was described as "blemished" I received a VERY abused one that only plays at half-volume but occasionally plays at full volume if the earphone plug is held to side.

I received an RMA and shipped the item back to them with the RMA number printed on the outside of the box. UPS tracking now shows they REFUSED DELIVERY of the package.

What was supposed to be a nice present has turned out to be and expensive broken nightmare. I'll update this review when and if I'm contacted by the company (i've put in a customer service request).

Company has contacted me to make new shipping arrangements, I will update review after this is resolved.

UPDATE Dec 20, 2007 - UPS Store put the wrong RMA number on box, not Consumer Depot's fault! Waiting for CD to arrange reshipping.

Finally got credited for the purchase 1st week of January.

"I made them an offer for the memory set in question (OCZ Technology 1GB PC3200 DDR DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit - OCZ4001024V3DCK 1 $30.00 $30.00). They accepted the price, I ordered it. Today (12/10/2007) I received an email stating that they cancelled my order. (1., It was either out of stock, or 2., I did not respond to an email saying that they had a problem with the order.) I never received any such email.
I went back to their site Overstockdealz.com and found the memory to be listed for sale again and in stock.
I reordered it at the price I negotiated with them. The order seemed to go through. I checked the website again to find after I ordered it, it has been removed from their sale list. It sounds to me like they only have 1 set of the memory and are trying to get more then what I made them an offer for. Something just does not seem right.
I have place a call into them, leaving them a voicemail to call me. I hope they do not cancel my reorder. I will file a complaint. I reordered the memory, they cancelled the order AGAIN. I did file a complaint with the TN Attorney General. Consumer Depot and it's subsidiaries have already been in court w/ the TN AG. They are fraudulant and deceptive. I will not buy from them again, EVER!
The Tennessee Attorney General's Office has contacted me.
I hope they investigate and shut these people down for good.

"Ordered a refurbished black zune, the price was great. Received the zune without the zune cable. Contacted the company via their only form. Someone contacted me in 3 days and shipped the cable out on the next business day. While I would have preferred to received everything I ordered the first time around the ease of which the problem was handled is unheard of in todays world of online sales. If this level of service is the norm I will certainly do business with them again in the future."
