"Ordered a pair of frames from website. Within 2. Hours they said they only had it in red. I approved the color change and received another email asking about the color. I approved again. And had paid for 2day shipping. Then revived an email telling me the manufacturer only made it in brown and they were discontinued. Asking if I wanted to choose a different frame. "

"I ordered my glasses and received sunglasses instead, I phoned and was told I had to pay the shipping to send them back to be redone. I did that, then out if the blue, I was charged another $100 to complete the order. I was not told this to begin with I basically was held up for another $100. I paid over $650 to get my glasses. They did not return the sunglass lens that I had already paid for. The glasses themselves are beautiful and I like them. I will probably not trust this company again due to the added charge of $17 to mail back plus the extra $100, I was trying to save money!"
"I noticed a lot of complaints about Coolframes having to do with getting something they could not use. If you are ordering frames online you must know what size lenses, nose piece, arms, ect. you need, as well as making sure you put in your prescription correctly or you will not be satisfied with your glasses. I LOVE mine. Only give four stars instead five because I had to contact them to see why my order was pending rather than them contact me. Issue was resolved and customer service was more than gracious to me. Thanks."

"Update.
Ordered Friday 25th next day air. Was miffed they didn't even have the order processed by Monday 28th. I needed the frames fast.
Wrote the below review. Gave them 1 star.
They replied back here as well as in my emails.
Since the delivery deadline was missed but I still wanted the frames they knocked the overnight shipped off for me and processed a refund for the charge.
Still miffed I could not get the frames next business day with overnight but I understand they not every frame is in stock and ready to ship.
They should make that clearer when ordering.
The frames arrived today 03/31, so four business days from order. Not bad.
Revising my review from 1 star to 4 due to the excellent customer service and they obviously care about their online reviews.

We do have a large amount of frames on hand to ship same day, but that is not the rule as your particular frame had to be ordered from the maker of the frame. We do say that at times it takes 3-4 business days to ship and order. In your case we were able to ship the order in 3 business days and i am happy to say you should be receiving it this week. "I was happy and amazed that a nice lady answered my call on the first ring! They are located in New York City, and I was raised in New York City many years ago, and I used to live in Brooklyn, which is the same "boro" (county) that Cool Frames is in, too! I am excited to see the frames that I was lucky enough that they had them. Once they arrive by mail, I will make sure they fit, and if they don't, this excellent company would allow me to return them, at no cost to me, I believe. Cool Frames was actually recommended to me by an eyeglass store that didn't have the exact frames I was looking for!"

"I ordered frames (to replace broken ones) and paid for overnight delivery - leaving 2 days later for a week (large family event). Oops, they weren't in stock and had to be ordered. Bummer! I should have them, when I return, but it'll be a week with taped-together frames. Wish I had known overnight was not an option. I would have looked elsewhere.
The customer service rep on the phone was very sweet and thorough. There was, of course, nothing she could do to make it better. "
