"DO NOT BUY FROM COST CAPTAIN--WARNING WARNING--FRAUD FRAUD
Cost Captain appears to be a fraud. They showed they had a blue-ray player in stock, and so I bought it. Over two weeks later, with no word and no show, I emailed them. They said: "What would you like to do?" I said I wanted a refund. Never heard from them again. Not a peep. I have been sending email upon email. No response.
I will be contacting my credit card company soon.
I see there have been others on here exploring legal options. I am a law student and will be happy to begin the process of a class action suit in the near future.
Please, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN YOU WONT HERE FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!

"I found CostCaptain when searching the best price on the style of iPad cover I wanted. The site is slightly misleading, because it says "free shipping" but you have to join their not free Premier program to get free shipping. The Premier program button says "free trial", but there is no further information about the trial. I had to track down their customer service number and call to get info on the free trial. It seems legit - they don't bill me for Premier until 30 days and I can cancel anytime within the 30 days and pay nothing.
The product itself is as I expected - new and good. Shipping was a tad slow, especially considering I did join Premier and they are supposed to handle Premier orders faster. I get things faster from other companies."

CostCaptain only loses one star on the shipping process because when I added the item to my cart, they told me "Your order qualifies for free shipping" (and I compared prices with other sites accordingly), but once I was actually making the purchase, I discovered that "free shipping" would require authorizing charges relating to enrolling in some program, so I ended up paying for shipping after all. It would have been fairer if they'd footnoted this at the outset.
But I'd buy from them again!"

"I ordered a calculator to be used on an exam. I paid a little more for the standard shipping (as opposed to the free option) so that I would be able to take it with me when I left town (8 days after I ordered). I received an email a week after I placed my order saying that my order had shipped.
I contacted customer support to get a refund on my shipping costs, since I obviously would not receive it by the time I left town. I was told that they had sent me an email (which they did not) saying the product was out of stock and inquired if I minded waiting until they got another shipment. They stated that the message could have gone into a junk/spam folder, but after searching through that folder, there was nothing in there.
I will not tolerate being lied to and I will not be doing business with CostCaptain again."
"The prices and shipping were good however I was charged sales tax even though the seller was out of state. This is a legal practice if a business has a presence within the state of the purchaser. But the tax was not shown until after I completed the transaction. Cost Captain did refund the tax amount but it made the savings null compared with the time invested."

"I needed gear the next day and ordered from CostCaptain. I heard nothing back and two days later sent an inquiry only to hear that the gear was delayed and blaming me for not receiving an email supposedly sent (I received all their other emails without a problem). I then cancelled the order. Five days later they sent the gear to me even after the cancellation, when I asked to return it they said they would allow it but I would have to pay for shipping.
As not everything had shipped, I cancelled again. Again they sent the rest of the gear a couple days later and said if I return it I would have to pay for shipping. They now will not respond to me. I am on the hook for almost 40 dollars because of their mistakes.
Do not order from this company, if anything goes wrong they are not responsive and, after the first layer of customer service representatives, uninterested in your business.
EDIT: Do not believe that this was a "miscommunication." One of their managers didn't even pay attention to my complaint and instead said I could return the gear on my dime and pay the shipping myself. Note that they ignored me until I posted this, it seems this company needs a public shaming before they "care" about their customers."

I ordered a air inflated couch, and it was out of stock, and they didn't mention anything.
waited a week, I sent an email and then they told me the item will be restock in 10 days later, asking if i would like to wait. So i said I would cancel, but next day, they said they shipped the item, and would give the tracking number 2 days ago. i havent gotten it yet.
even though the price was little cheaper than amazon.com, i would pay extra for the better service, credibility, and honesty!

"I submitted the order on 4/3, they didn't "receive" it until 4/8, which was a little disappointing. However, once it was received it was shipped out the very next day and shipping was very fast. Let's face it, you can't beat the price of the item - CostCaptain offered the Cricut Storybook Cartridge for $34 including shipping! Blows me away. I received the exact item I had ordered. One can't be too picky. I would consider myself a satisfied customer. "
