Placed an order on 4/10/13 for six monitors that were needed for a time sensitive project. I also paid for expedited shipping so that the monitors would get here as quickly as possible. I immediately received an order confirmation email and my credit card was charged for the full amount on 4/12/13. When the monitors still hadn't arrived by 4/25/13 I went and checked my order status on their website and it said Pending Review. Pending review? For what? CostCaptain already had my money! I attempted to call customer service several times that day and was always sent directly to voice mail without ever speaking to a live person. I then sent an email to customer service asking what the status was, when I could expect my order, and if it wasn't going to ship, that I then expected a refund. I received an auto-reply stating my email would be answered the next business day. Two days later I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled. At this point it became apparent that the product I ordered was never in stock to begin with and further research indicated that the monitors I had ordered had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Subsequent emails from CostCaptain said that a shipping delay email had been sent to me, which was pure hogwash, as no such email had ever hit our network. Furthermore, CostCaptain continues to show this product as in stock on their website even though it has been discontinued and is no longer available. By the time I get a refund, if I get one, CostCaptain will have had my money for well over a month for a product that they never could have had to begin with. This is a scam and a fraud of the highest order. BEWARE!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Absolutely terrible!!!! Also rated an F by the BBB... How can you possibly tell me that the order has been submitted to the manufacturer when the product has been discontinued? Also, I was told on 4/27/13, this past Saturday, by Ton, that my order had been cancelled. Now it's not? This is an obvious ploy to hold on to my funds longer for a product that you never had to begin with. "

"This company suck...b@!!$ ordered $700 projector and got runaround. Was told item was backordered. Will by from more reputable site from now on. Tigerdirect seems to have no problems and their site actually tells you if an item is in stock. After 2 days of processing and reading these reviews I decided to report them as fraudulent to wells Fargo. Don't sell things if you cannot fulfill orders. My card was charged immediately yet when I cancel funds have yet to appear. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!"

They said the shipment email had been a mistake and that the item was on backorder. Today I checked the status again and it still has not shipped. On various dates since my order I have checked for the item on their website. They still list it for sale with no indication of any backorder status. "I ordered a skateboard from this website because of its cheap price. Then as I was browsing I saw it's all computer software and electronics. I was kind of iffy about my order but figured i'd give it a shot because it's $30 then alot of other places. I placed this order April 10th. It's now April 23rd and the order status is still 'Awaiting item in picking'. I understand if you don't have it in stock but 2 weeks is ridiculous. I will be giving it a few more days and if nothing changes, I will be cancelling my order. I recommend it if you're looking for a low price but if you're looking for something to get to you quick paying the extra price might not be such a bad idea. "

"Reasonably priced, order process was pretty straight forward, so far so good. Credit card was charged right away so I expected my order to be shipped soon. Next day I received email that some items are out of stock so the order may be delayed. Emailed early on Thursday as to status, received reply on Monday, so much for a 24 hour turn around. Ten days later I was informed that my order was cancelled and refunded.
No refund was posted on my credit account. After five day I contacted them again and after another day was sent a refund statement, still no refund on my card.
If you can't fill an order, don't charge for it. So now I have no product and I have incurred the interest charge for that amount for 15 days. Never again. Beware, do not order from this company, unless you are looking for aggravation."

"wow!!! What a great deal. This is one of those retail sites that you can go to with confidence! My DVD player was a great price (not one of those "refurbished" items). DVD player arrived brand new in an unbroken sealed box. My Sony DVD player was plugged in same day as arrival and it works beautifully! After I placed my order, I sent a status inquiry to CostCaptain via email. I received a reply from a real person within 24 hours providing me confirmation status! This is a fantastic sight. I found it by accident, however, I will now spread the word around that not only are they legit, they are very professional. I was assured any issues with my order would be addressed immediately!

I am very leery of what online retailers I do business with, however, after this initial experience, I will check if they have my wants in future online shopping. Highly recommend!"
