"Christmas gift hasn't arrived, Poor customer service According to costcaptain.com the shipping time is 3-5 days. I ordered my Christmas gift on December 10, 2012. On December 19, after trying to call the customer service phone number about 5 times and no one answering it, I emailed customer service. Upon emailing customer service it says you will recieve a response in 1 business day. Two days later I recieved a response from a Matt, not telling me why my order hasnt shipped but informing me that my order was being transferred to the shipping manager. I wrote back again wanting to know why my order hasnt shipped, I recieved a generic response 2 days later on December 23 informing me that my order is facing a delay due to high demand and I choose not to cancel the order. And then on the 25th I was emailed by a person named Ton and I was told that my order would be put back in queue and I would be updated. On the 26th I recieved the same generic email that I recieved on the 23rd telling me that my item is facing a delay due to high demand. Yesterday Jan. 8, 2013 I go on the costcaptain.com website to check the status of my order, seeing that I havent heard anything else from them, and the status is "awaiting item in picking". I feel that I was sold an item that they never had in stock to begin with, I disappointed a loved one at Christmas, despite the fact that I ordered in plenty of time, never arrived. It has now been 1 day to being am onth since I placed my order, and the item STILL hasnt shipped. I called the customer service telephone number today and again no one answers. I sent an email again today as well. I am at wits end with this company and not ever being able to reach someone and having to wait a minimum of 2 days to recieve even an email back"

"Ordered product December 15th with expedited shipping. When nothing arrived, I reached out to customer service via email due to their 800 number being a joke. They responded that the product was on backorder and were sorry and if I wanted to cancel to let them know. I cancelled on the 23rd of December and assumed that the refund would be processed along with that. I was wrong. I had email once again to have them finally process the return on the 2nd of January. A week later, nothing has posted to my account. They have no idea what good customer service is, honestly, I cannot even believe this company is in business. There is no outreach as to what we can do to save you as a customer or what can we do to help. Simply email from service agents that honestly just don't care saying stuff like "awwwwhhh, we're sorry to see you go! bye now!"...A 1 out of 5 is too much credit. Do your self a favor and please order from someone else."

"Very disappointing experience. Immediately after placing the order we sent our education credentials for the purchase; more than a day passed and then their customer support team asked for us to send the credentials (when they had already received them via fax). Shipping was abysmal. We are now in the eighth day after the order was placed and still do not have our shipment - "

"When I went onto google to find a cheap price for my product, cost captain had shown up as the cheapest place with it in stock. I went through the check out thinking that I could see the final price before finalizing, but the order went through before I saw the final price I would be paying. I cancelled the order soon after and it was cancelled the next day. I figured that like most places the order would disappear from my account after the processing had finished yet the purchase cleared with my bank. When i inquired about it they said that because the the order had processed it would take some time before the order was refunded. After a few days had passed I emailed them again, in which I filled out the form with my name, yet when emailed back they called me John instead and told me it would take 7-10 days for the order to be refunded. After 10 days had passed from the day I cancelled I emailed once more asking about the refund in which they apologized saying that it had been delayed. After 2 weeks of waiting for a refund, I had finally gotten my money back for the order.
Without learning from this, a week after I had cancelled this, I put in the order for the item because I had found a coupon for 10 dollars off of my order. After waiting a week of this order saying processing, I asked them about it. They responded that the company was on backorder, which I feel a company should tell the customer instead of waiting for the customer to ask. I cancelled this order as well and was emailed saying they would send a check for the refund. The one positive experience I had with this company was when I called asking about why they were sending a check instead of refunding straight to my account. They lady helping me kindly explained that unless you ask them to refund it straight to your account they send checks. I'm now hoping that the check will arrive so I don't have to deal with this company once more. Yet on a positive note, while I was stuck dealing with this whole ordeal, Amazon had gotten the item back in stock and had it for 20 dollars cheaper and I will finally have the product tomorrow.

"On 2012-12-17 I placed an order with CostCaptain.com for 512MB Edge 144-pin DDR2 printer memory (http://goo.gl/EuKjJ) for $39.99. I had a coupon code for $10 off of $40, so I was just $0.01 short. I added a $0.99 rounded IDE cable (http://goo.gl/4zxUs). This brought my total to $40.98, so I was able to use the coupon code, bringing my total to $30.98. I was told I was eligible for free shipping, but I came to discover that is only true if you sign up for some subscription service. Shipping was $4.99 and brought my total to $35.97, which was still acceptable. I got my order conformation emails, and that is the last I ever heard from them. I was in no rush, and figured they were busy due to the holidays. I checked my order status periodically, which was always "processing" or "pending". I forget which. Finally I checked my order status on 2013-01-03 and found it "Cancelled". I'd received no notification, or anything, from them in regards to this. I sent them an email requesting clarification. All I received was a "Customer Refund Notification" from a "Raven W", dated 2012-01-04. I again sent again a request for clarification. I received a reply from "Raven" stating that the item I ordered is "currently unavailable". No idea which of the TWO items I ordered is unavailable, but apparently they stock nothing. The strange thing is, both items are still listed on their website, and able to be ordered. If they are "currently unavailable", shouldn't the website state that?"

"Whatever you do, DO NOT Order from this place. Even if you save a little $, the hassle of it all is NOT worth it!

I placed an order on 12/19 for an FM transmitter. I paid extra for 1-2 day shipping. The website clearly stated the item would be available. There was no indication on the website that there was any sort of back-order for the product, or that there would be any sort of delay. WHY would they offer 1-2 day shipping if it was not in stock?

Well I waited 1 week, and I wanted to use it for my trip and never received it. I actually didn't initially mind, I understood because I ordered during the holidays. I didn't even really mind that I did not have it for my trip, but I wanted it for when I got back. Well, It was not at my house (1/2/2013) nor was there ANY notice from the company on the status. So on 1/2, I sent them an email asking for a status update. TODAY 1/4 (2 days later) I received a generic email saying my order was not in stock and they would need more time. I responded to this email and contacted customer service and asked them to at LEAST refund my shipping. They said they could only refund HALF and that the ETA for the product was 1/10, but not guaranteed.

I told them to cancel my order and refund the entire amount.
I would NEVER use this website, ever again! I'm even upset that they would be affiliated with Amazon! (they were a suggested re-seller bc Amazon was out of stock.)
