"Fast shipping. Only 1 day late, but I will let it slide because I think it had to do with the New Years holiday :). Packaging was very good, but not the best. Best would mean the retail box would be in perfect shape, but I think that's asking too much from a company that is barely known in the market. On a side note the retail box came in almost perfect shape! I was skeptical first about this company, but now they have received my seal of approval hah. Customer service could be faster. "This is probably the worst experience I have had with on-line shopping. First you processed my order and didn't send my item. I had to request assistance numerous times and threaten with the BBB before you responded. Then the product I ordered was no longer available. I ordered Office University 2010 and now that I went to install it, the dvd does not work. Thankfully the software is preloaded on my laptop but I wanted an original disk and that is what I paid for. Poor experience."

"I ordered a new printer on 3 December. The funds cleared the bank on 6 December. The current status on their website is 'awaiting item in picking'. Does that mean my item is on backorder?
According to the FTC, if the merchant is unable to ship within the promised time, it must notify you by mail, telephone, or email, give a revised shipping date and give you the chance to cancel for a full refund or accept the new shipping date.
I selected 1-2 day shipping and have not been notified of any changes, in fact, I have e-mailed them twice only to receive automated replies that I would hear from them within 24 hours. All I was asking for was an expected shipping date. There is no phone number on their website to contact them.
I would advise anyone reading this review to go somewhere else (especially if you are purchasing something for a business and need to report to someone above you as to any sort of expected shipping date).
I wish I had read these reviews PRIOR to purchasing from this company. It seems the only way to get a response from them is to post a bad review on this site (I see they respond to some of them)... so if anyone at CostCaptain sees this, would you PLEASE let me know when to expect my printer so I can let my boss know something? Thanks!
UPDATE: In response to the reply... I did not receive a response on the 21st of December. Would you be able to re-send it please? Does it happen to have an expected ship date?

"I joined this site specifically to write this poor review of CostCaptain. I'll say I am not surprised by these negative reviews. Luckily, I purchased a frivilous item that was more for a hobby and not time sensitive. The communication at the beginning was very good and clear but throughout the holidays it dwindled. I have a feeling this is someone operating out of their home and became overwhelmed with the holiday demand. Unfortunately, that is not the communication given to any of its customers. Still waiting on a hard drive enclosure which I ordered in late November. If it weren't for their followup here on this site, I would be reporting them to the BBB for sure. Still might if much more time passes. They gave me an invalid FedEx tracking number. Then, after two emails explaining that it was invalid, it was put on me to call FedEx and figure it out. FedEx couldn't find anything coming to me from CostCaptain. Faulty FedEx tracking number = NO FedEx tracking number. Who knows where that enclosure is, now. In fact, this invalid FedEx number was the second tracking number I received. After I placed the order, I got a "your item has shipped" email. Unfortunately for CostCaptain, that item was being shipped from their vendor to them. It wasn't until 12/17 that they then "sent" the item to me (read "never sent"). Pretty unfortunate situation."

"This company needs to be reported for mail fraud! I ordered an item on December 3, 2012. The money cleared my account on December 7, 2012. On December 16, I checked my order (for the 5th time) and it still said "in Process"...So I emailed the company and received no response. After 3 days, I called AND emailed again.
