I am very disappointed with Databazaar. I have not received my order of 2 Lexmark toners ordered on the 23rd.
I called to follow up with Rita on 11-2-2012. I was told that the toner had been delivered and that a G Delgado has signed for the package from FEDEX Tracking 804178870311774. I was surprised to hear this because we were anxious to get this toner and it had not arrived. Rita said she submitted a TRACE and “a FEDEX driver would come by possibly today or tomorrow” as of today, that has not happened. She also told me that we would “know something in 2-3 days.”
Today I called and spoke with Rita I told her that I have checked the entire office and questioned everyone on our floor in this building and that no delivery errors were made. Rita put me on hold to check the status and said “that nothing has come back from FEDEX and that this could now take 8-10 working days. I was stunned. I told her that I really needed this toner, she offered to ship it out again at the same price and that a refund could be generated when the investigation was completed. I said that “This was unacceptable and not an appropriate solution for a long standing and loyal customer.” I told Rita to please escalate this problem to a supervisor or manager who would be able to help. She hesitated and then said that she would, but she continued to qualify each statement of assistance with reservations. This went on for some time, back and forth debating each point because I was challenging her answers and excuses.
Her take on it was that because a signature from FEDEX was provided to Databazaar that it was basically out of their/ Databazaar’s hands and that it is difficult to prove that the shipment was not delivered, or rather my take on it, that the customer is not lying. So my take on the conversation is that the customer is probably trying to steal and lie to get free stuff and that FEDEX is making the decisions for how Databazaar’s customers are treated because without “proof” it is difficult. I told her that certainly there is someone in the organization that would approve a new shipment at no charge pending the investigation. She fought me all the way.
This kind of treatment of a long standing and loyal customer that has spent thousands and thousands of $$$$$$ in your organization is wrong.
Why should we be loyal if you are not?
Why sacrifice todays $$$ for tomorrows $$,$$$ ?
Why not satisfy your customer and treat them with dignity and respect instead of implying that we are cheats?
