"I recently bought a samsung lcd tv (ln46a650) from datavis.com. My experience with the company was damn near flawless. After placing my order I received a telephone call a day or two after giving me directions on what to do when my tv arrived. I scheduled a time with the shipping company to receive my tv and it showed up at that scheduled time. As instructed, I opened the box and inspected the tv thoroughly before signing for it and letting the delivery man leave. The tv has been wonderful and has worked flawlessly since the day I got it.
My only complaint is that since my TV looked so amazing, I was robbed in the middle of the night. When I came back to the datavis.com website to order the same tv again the price had gone up by roughly $150. This isn't a huge problem, but since I can find it cheaper elsewhere now I won't be shopping with datavis.com this time.
Overall, this company still receives 5 out of 5 stars from me. Customer service was amazing, item was shipped on time, the price was great at the time, and the tv came to me with no problems whatsoever. Very smooth transaction. I would definitely recommend doing business with this company again!"
"Recieved wrong product, contacted customer service and from here on it all went down hill. Returned wrong product and tracked it until they recieved it. Waited for email from them telling me they recieved it and correct product is on it's way. Waited for three days and finally had to call them. "3/11/09 - My original purchase was of an item on ebay. I chose buyit now, promptly paid for the item. Waited a few days, no email from them saying it shipped. so I sent them an email asking for the status of my order. A few more days passed, no reply, so I called and they had said my item was backordered. um... wtf, I won an item that was listed on ebay... how can you not have it in stock?
So I wait, about 2 weeks pass and I finally get my item. It's defective (mic doesn't work at all - item is a headset Tritton AX360. I call them up and ask to return it, but decide I'd rather not get the same crappy quality. They tell me that there is a 15% restocking fee... so I ask them if I buy a much more expensive headset (Sennheiser PC 350) if they can waive the restock fee. They agree, which is cool of them. The date is now 3/23/09.
The new item says it has a 2-3 day availability... so I think, okay, I can wait 2-3 more days. It is now 4/7/09 and they still haven't shipped this item. I had sent an email last week inquiring about the status of my order - again, no reply. So today I call and talk to customer service, who forwards me to a line that no one answers (which isn't the first this has happened - it happened with my first order too). So then I call back and talk to customer service again, this time instead of asking about my order, I just ask to cancel it. Re-ordered said item from amazon.com.
So be wary of doing business with this seller. Their customer service is crap. They don't answer emails, they don't have items in stock that they say they do. And they seem to take forever to do anything.
I won't be doing business with them ever again - don't even bother to resolve this, cause I already did by canceling and taking my business elsewhere."

On 12/2/08, I received an email from Datavis explaining that the item was out of stock, and that it would be another week before they had it in stock again, but that they did have the 904HA model ($50 more expensive!) in stock that they could ship immediately.
I replied stating that I needed the item within a specific timeframe, and that if they could not accomplish that, then to cancel my order.
The following day, I received an email from Buy.com advising that my order had been cancelled. No further responses have been forthcoming from Datavis.
I decided to see what was said about Datavis online, and found many complaints from others who had received similar treatment.
I would advise anyone to be extremely cautious when considering Datavis for any potential purchase.

"I ordered two new sets of Ultrasone 750 headphones advertised by Datavision as "new and factory sealed." Ten days later, I received one set of used, open-box headphones and one open box with no headphones in it at all. The shipper-posted weight is correct, so the second set was obviously never put in the box by Datavision. Their customer phone service is rude and accusatory, with extended hold times over twenty minutes. As the seller is impossible to deal with, I have now had to escalate this to a claim with my credit card and report them to the BBB. Hopefully I'll get my money back eventually.
