"The main advantage - cheap items, free delivery.
Then come the disadvantages. The shipping time on the web site (7-10 business days) is quite misleading - it refers just to the time DX needs to ship the items EXCLUDING the postal delivery time. So, it takes 1 month for arrival and the order tracking is not working properly.
One of the items - tablet case - was sent wrong, for an old model and didn't fit at all. Then I had to enter the long story of submitting a ticket, making pictures several times to prove it is wrong. After 1 week the DX service desk agreed and re-shipped the right item.
In conclusion, DX is great for items you don't need urgently, i.e. "nice-to-have". Considering the low price, items quality is quite acceptable.

"On my third order on DX I received an incorrect bluetooth keyboard and I wasn't happy about it. Posted to them some photos about incorrect item received and customer service gave me the options to choose from replacement or refund or $7 in store credit."
"I made an order, to be shipped to the US. The shipment was denied at some country's customs, reshipped by Dx.com, and denied again. This seller needs to figure out how to ship successfully.
If that wasn't bad enough, they made me wait another 2 weeks (total time since my order: 2 months 8 days) before offering me a refund today. I hope they prove capable of refunding--at the time that I requested it, the same customer service representative had replied that they are "small workers" with "no right" to decide about refunds.
I won't be ordering here again."
"I made many orders from DX.com in last years. Few of them were unsuccessful, as there were some shipping problems (batteries not allowed, etc.), I am still waiting for my powerbanks reshipped. But I am very happy with orders and customer support. I am not sure why some others mention poor customer support. First I ask for the order, then complain. Complaining before asking merchandiser does not work. Every time I made a complaint, it was fully addressed, item reshipped or refunded if faulty.
Once mini-helicopter broke after few minutes of flying, they refunded it so I was able to buy another one. This was operational for many weeks, until I broke it after many crashes."

The extreme bit is the waiting time for your Item,
I ordered my item 18th may 2014, 60 days later I have written again to DX and await a reply, but there is no way that it can take 60 days from China to France, I could have walked it by now. why do you not say on your website 2 months for postage and give customers the chance to upgrade the postage for a quicker service

to say sorry and that they hadn't had any feedback from the post office as yet and it would take 1-2 weeks to get the some feedback.
I can't post a screen shot here, but done a quick check with Le poste (French postal service) and found its been in Malaysia since 17th June 2014, so waiting 2 weeks for something I found in 10 mins - DX you need to get your act together and stop letting us all down with your bad service. And all your emails end with Lucky - really "
"I ordered some strong magnets and the shipping terms all stated 5-15 days international. After 3 weeks items hadn't been received so I contact the customer only to be told because my order was under $15 the order was not tracked and they couldn't check. Also told order could take 2-6 weeks. This is nowhere on there website, as confirmed by the customer service operative how could not show me where these details were given. Very disappointed and would not recommend or use again.
Edit: Following the response by the company below I received an email from them asking to amend my review to 4/5. I am unfortunately unable to do this as your website still doesn't inform customers that items under $15 will take 2-6 weeks to be delivered. Looking at the reviews this is not the first time this has been an issue. If I had been aware at time of booking of the wait I would either have gone elsewhere or been prepared to wait. Nowhere does it state the delivery times you give are for orders over $15 only."
