"I was informed after I placed & paid for my online order that the item was not instock. You would think a company doing online sales would have better inventor control and more up to date information available to its customers. When I was informed my product was on back order, I was also informed the shipping charges that were applied to my order were incorrect. The actual shipping cost would be 3 times higher. I understand a company needs to make money, but their final shipping amount would be 300% over their cost, a little steep for my liking. Now I'm waiting for my refund and that is not going very smoothly, "

It took almost 10 days for one of my orders, and I still have not recieved the other even after paying for expediated shipping, when I call them them they don't have a tracking number and customer service is only open between 10.30 and 5 pm. "I placed an order on 12/1//11 for a bottom grid for a sink. It stated: to ship immediately. Amazingly, I did receive the item on 1/11/12 (one full month later) soon after I made a complaint to paypal resolution center. I made numerous calls to check on the order and delivery and was given the run around. The floor manager I spoke with at least 3 times was very curt and told me that there was no one else for me to speak with. Evidently, he does not have a manager above him. I became rather frustrated and felt that I should receive a discount for the false promises and was told that I could receive a credit to purchase another item from Decor Island. That would have been fine if I had been communicated with along the way instead of me having to constantly follow up. At this point, I will not be purchasing from Decor Island for future purchases as I was disappointed in their customer service which they tout on their website and lack of follow through."
"I ordered a sink from another retailer, only to discover, as they were demolishing my kitchen, that it was not enroute as I had been told. I called Decore Island. Joey hunted for a sink and made suggestions re possible replacements.
I chose to wait for the original choice, and was told it would be a month wait. It arrived in perfect condition 2 weeks later. I am very pleased"

"I was in a hurry for a plumbing part that I was holding up remodeling in my bathroom. DecorIsland had the hard to find part, and I confirmed with them that they had it in stock. As they offered 2 day shipping, I ordered it from them. Apparently however, they are not capable of getting an order out quickly, it took 2.5 days for them to even process the order. As a result, I paid $23 for 2-day shipping for nothing, s the part did not come for a week. Totally messing up my contractor scheduling. I want a refund of my shipping charges."
"Order was placed on 6 Dec 2011. The time period has been way beyon my expectations of a professional supplier. I have been waiting to long. I too am a business owner and know the importance of my customers getting their product in a timely manner. I called on several occations and was told on at least two of those calls the item was shipped! This was not the case so therefore my order is now cancelled and referals from me to other clients of mine will not be forthcoming. Thank You for Nothing.
I got a call back from Decor Island - offering a instock item at a higher price for the same amount as my privious order and over night shipping on them. I have already cancelled and found the item I want through another supplier, but given the response time and willingness to correct the problem I would say the customer satisfaction may be their top priority since the turn around time when I placed this review was very timely indeed. I still will give the other company a chance to respond to my order and if their performance does not meet my expectations then, I will go back to Decor Island. Everyone deserves a second chance to realize where their business has problems and to make efforts to correct them. Decore Island also deserves that closer examination before totally disregarding their business and business practices. Thanks Andy"

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE. Purchased a product that was going to be part of a larger order once the color/style was verified. I was assured by their salesperson that it would be the same color that the company's previous color scheme and if not, it would be easy to return. Obviously he did anything for a sale since it wasn't even close. What has been more frustrating has my attempt for 2 months to return this product to a non-existent customer service. I left 4-5 messages and 4-5 emails through their website and no one even had the decency to call back. I finally got through to someone today and they made me feel like its my fault since they will now have to hold this in inventory (product was shipped directly from manufacturer). They are allowing me to return the product for "only" a 25% re-stocking fee...

"I wouldn't purchase from this company again. I bought about 1700$ dollars worth of merchandise. Though the site says "free shipping" I was charged a 50$ handling fee. Further, the person helping me on the phone told me I needed an item that I didn't end up needing. So, though items seemed cheaper than other companies, I ended up paying more.
Adding to this review: I called to let the company know I was sold an item I didn't need and still needed the original item. The staff was unhelpful. The person with whom I spoke said the item would cost 95$ and that I wouldn't receive the item for a week because the item came from Canada and the company does not drop ship (send it to the house). I called qualitybath.com, however, and I received the same product for 76$ and within a couple of days with a drop ship. I just felt the staff at decor island was not honest..."
"Stay away from Decor Island!!! $160 for overnight shipping. I, begrudgingly, accepted the shipping fee because I NEED this item NOW! It has been a week and still have not received the item. Calls to customer service end with being placed on hold until disconnection.
Follow up:
Finally got a hold of, and I use this term VERY loosely, "Customer Service". It appears that ALL THREE of the item "IN STOCK" were damaged and could not be shipped. Decor Islands solution to this problem was to simply CANCEL the order... without any notification (Did I mention that I REALLY NEED this item?). I have been waiting for a week for an order that is not coming because Decor Island doesn't deem it necessary to inform their customers that they cannot deliver on a placed order. (I guess they assume you'll figure it out, eventually.
In short, if you REALLY NEED your item, STAY AWAY FROM DECOR ISLAND.
Add me to the list of chumps who ordered from these jokers without reading reviews first."
