"Terrible customer service, repeated lies about shipping dates, shipped the wrong item, refused to reimburse for return shipping on the wrong item. Seller refused to communicate as soon as the replacement item shipped out.

Buyer beware - check online for review. This company is bad news.

Original order Jul 20th, arrived Aug 4th, returned same day, arrived to them Aug 6th, didn't ship replacement until Aug 13th. Shipped with incorrect labelling, so we had to pay duty twice.

In total, the sum cost of dealing with them is several hundred dollars higher than other retailers.

"I received an email to confirm the purchase and in doing so, the CSR mentioned I had ordered a PAL. ALl I know about that now is it's for over-seas. Though my cost went up minimal (they worked with me as best they could), the CSR did a fantastic job catching this and in doing so, saved me and my job site alot of heartaches. "Ordering from digital outlets was easy. Before my order shipped I dropped my camera and broke it. I contacted this company to let them know I needed to cancel my order because I would not need the lens after all. They were very helpful and considerate. "I am having the same problem. I ordered a Canon 5Ds (import model) on July 31st for 8 day shipping - $2779 (great deal right? - maybe too good to be true). I was buying it as a gift to a family member who lives outside the US so an import model didn't seem a problem. I checked out reviews on their site and it seemed as if people liked them.

After ordering the camera from their site I printed my online order confirmation and my cc was charged. I am glad i printed the online receipt because thats all I got - no tracking number or email confirmation ever came through. When I placed the order I was asked to give a review - i thought it was odd to write a review before I even got the product - it's like complimenting the chef after you placed the order and before you've eaten the meal!? I wondered if their onsite reviews were all caught like this.

I called them the Monday after i placed the order since i didn't get an email confirmation and they told me they had the order and it was being processed and the email must have gone in my junk folder (it didn't). After two weeks the camera didn't arrive so i called customer service. They did not try and upsell me but asked why I ordered an import model. I was told it was coming from Japan and would arrive shortly. I called again after their second deadline passed and they told me there had a been a recall of the camera and it would be in on September 10th. They told me they would expedite shipping at no extra charge so i should expect it Sep 12th or thereabouts - It did not arrive! Its September 17th now and I just googled the company. After calling again yesterday I could not get through after several times trying. I will keep trying but after reading some similar reviews online I have now just called my CC company to see if they will refund it. Maybe Digital Outlets were intending to send me something at some point - if they had sent me an email confirmation, or if any of their deadline dates had been met, if they had made an effort at customer service. I am not still not sure. I order it 8 to 10 business days in July and its now mid-spetember. If I had received the camera this review would still not be great but I have not received anything which makes me want to warn people out there.

This seems like a total scam Some people seem satisfied with this company but this seems like a classic internet scam and after my experience I would imagine that the positive reviews on their site are caught from the happy customers who write a review before they get the product. "Wow - it was really easy placing this order!!!" :(

If i get the product or a refund i will be sure to update this review and let you all know

"DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! After I ordered a camera from them, I received an email telling me that I needed to call their customer service and "verbally confirm" my order. After spending over half an hour on hold, a very confrontational customer service man told me I had ordered the "imported version" of the camera, which had a JAPANESE-ONLY menu and settings, and that I should probably upgrade my order to the US version of the camera, almost doubling the price. The other option he gave me was to cancel my order, and instantly lose 10% of the price of the camera to a ridiculous "restocking fee" on something they had not even shipped. I told him to place the order on hold, and called around to Nikon USA and Nikon International, and several other sellers selling the "imported model" to do some research. Turns out that there was no such thing as a "Japanese Only" camera, that even the imported models came with Japanese AND ENGLISH in the settings menu. So I called the customer service man back, and placed the order. I was told that the order would arrive between 10-14 business days, and it has been over 20 at this point. No camera. These people are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. AVOID THEM!!!!!!

Oh, and after placing my order with them, the only recent online shopping I had done, I received fraud notification from my bank saying that an online electronics company had received my card information and I was being charged for things I had not purchased. So I had to get a new debit card because of these frauds too.
