"Couldn't be more disappointed! I ordered this camera for my daughter in August, hoping to have it for end of the summer pictures. Here it is 9/14 with multiple calls and emails to the company with no response, except for "it is scheduled to arrive on 9/13"- Still NOT HERE! Hoping that this response will get someone interested in returning my call or sending the camera."

"Like many other people who reviewed this site, I was upsold to an identical but more expensive version of my order, told to use a wire transfer rather than credit card, and never had my order shipped.
After asking my bank to try to retrieve the wire transfer, I was told they had closed the account right after withdrawing the money.
Of course, this is a scam website and no one should use it.

"ABSOLUTELY 100% FRAUD!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

Here's how the company will attempt to rip you off.

1. They place camera's on google shopping for 20-30% less that its competitors.
2. You place the order and get your order confirmation.
3. You will either get an email stating to call in to confirm your order or they will call you.
4. They will use some B.S. excuse like your CVV on your credit card was wrong or you bought the wrong item.
5. When they get you on the phone they will try to sell you batteries that are 5x more expensive then they should be. That or they will tell you that you bought an incompatible accessory and you need a more expensive one or a different one of much less value.
6. In the end if you do not buy their overpriced accessories they will keep delaying your order or cancel it.

Look at the other reviews on this site. Even the positive reviews clearly state they were happy because they ordered the wrong thing, customer service called them back, and then they had to order something different.

I called 4 different times and each time was told the package had already shipped or would be shipping the next day. I got 3 different arrival dates but never got a tracking number despite asking for it each time. After a month the product NEVER shipped, they said it was back ordered and they'd need to refund my money. They never did until I filed complaints with BBB, IC3, Google, and the FTC. in the end I only got my money back because my credit card company got it back when I filed a dispute.

"What a SCAM! Digital Outlets advertises rock bottom pricing that seems almost too good to be true, because it is just that...not true! They draw traffic into their website by offering these unrealistic low prices and then take their order info and try to upsell from there. If the customer takes the upsells, such as memory cards, batteries, and other accessories, they will then complete the order (because they are making a high margin profit on those items). If the customer does not accept any upgrades and only wants the item that was advertised on sale, they will say it is on "back order" and will wait 2+ months for the item to come in (because they are losing money on this deal). This back order story happened to me.

After submitting my order, I had to call in and confirm my credit card and order info. At this point the Sales Rep tried to upsell me on various items, which I did not want or need. He then accepted defeat, and said that the order would be submitted for processing and fulfillment. A few days later I received an email from them saying that the item was backordered and wouldn't be in for a few weeks, so although I was disappointed I waited out the time because the camera was being offered at the lowest price I have ever seen and I was in no hurry. The backorder date came and went and I still never received a shipping confirmation which I thought was quite odd. I contacted customer service, and after being on hold for more than an hour, they informed me that they were still backordered and that it would be another month. At that point, I had lost all hope. I figured I would never see the item, but still held out to see if they would fulfill it after waiting two months. At the end of my two months waiting, I gave up and cancelled my order. My card was never processed, but the whole business operations of Digital Outlets is extremely sketchy and I would NOT RECOMMEND placing any orders through them.

MORAL OF THE STORY: If the price is too good to be true, it is just that...not true. Take your business elsewhere to a more reputable company and pay a little more for a guaranteed seamless and smooth order.

"After bumping my lens off a table with a shoot coming up in less than a week, I needed a replacement right away. I confirmed the order for my new Nikon 24-70 f2.8 on Wednesday and received it exactly on time Friday morning. Thank you to Digital Outlets customer service for personally following this transaction for me. Not only was the price excellent but your personal service deserves a rave review. I couldn't be more pleased.

By the way, I never leave reviews before a transaction is complete. This is an actual unsolicited review from a real customer and 100% true.

"Great experience!! I accidently ordered the wrong item and shortly after placing the order I received a call from Scott, who wanted to verify that I was getting what I really wanted, because some of the items I put in my cart did not match up with each other. Scott got me squared away and I could not be happier!! Received my order quickly and I can't wait to start shooting.

I'm swithching from Nikon to Canon so, for me, it was a major purchase. Scott helped me to get the most out of my budget without any high pressure sale. He just answered my qusetions and pointed me in the right direction. I'm planning to purchase a second body and additional lens in the next 6 months - I will definetly be using Digital Outlet to help me get the most out of my budget.

"On June 23, I purchased a Canon 5D Mark III camera from these guys, which they advertised on their site for $1949. Shortly after I placed my order, I was contacted by one of their sales reps, who asked me if there was a particular reason for my ordering the Import model, and he then proceeded to tell me that the Import Model was in Japanese only and that the menus could not be changed to English. The US model was "slightly" more expensive, at $2375.

That was a little bit more than what I had intended to spend, so I asked if I could please cancel my order. The guy said yes but that'll cost you 5% of your order, so about $100. Needless to say I was not impressed or happy about that situation, felt I'd just been scammed, but I didn't want to let 100 of my precious dollars go to waste, so I went ahead and changed my order to the US model. This one came with a free Lens Cleaning Kit, Screen Protectors and Table Top Tripod, and I'd also ordered a 32G UltraFast Flash Cards to save my pictures on.

When my order (finally) came in, all there was in the box was the camera. All the other items were missing. I contacted the company several times to ask them to please ship me my goods, and to this day, despite their telling me (after receiving several emails from me) that the goods had been sent, I haven't received anything.

I tried contacting them several times since (the items supposedly shipped on July 16) to ask where my shipment was at, and if I could please get a tracking number, but haven't even been given the decency of an answer.

I just filed a complaint with the BBB...
