"Its obvious that some of the inflated "positive" reviews are nothing more than Drivewire hiring their employees to write them. Because they are just plain false. Let me tell you about my REAL experience. Ordered some brake parts and some other Mercedes parts. The Mercedes parts were 3 or 4 days in shipping. So whoever said "received parts in less than 24 hrs" is soooo full of bs its sick. In addition, they took my money for parts they did not have, even though their site said they were in stock and ready to ship. It took them THREE DAYS to tell me that they did not have and were not shipping some of my parts, expect a refund in a WEEK or MORE. These were parts for a Bravada, same as a Blazer or Jimmy so they are not exactly foreign or hard-to-find. Then, when I went to return the old axles for the core charge, they informed me that they "do not pay for return shipping." and that I was to pay for it myself to get my core back. Shipping for 2 axles, $50. Core charge was $24 so I gave them to O'reilly and ate the core. Bottom line? If you can get the parts somewhere else, do so. Its not worth the few bucks you would save to get them from Drivewire. If you even GET the parts, that is. "

"Update: (Original review at the bottom). After posting this review I received a phone call and they are refunding the shipping for the second order. Both orders shipped out today and are scheduled to be delivered Monday. As long as i get the correct parts I will be very happy with drivewire.com
This review will be updated if anything changes. First I would like to say that drivewire has a very slow website that times out a lot so be patient.
My second complaint is in the product descriptions. I ordered a valve cover gasket for a 2002 Daewoo Lanos. I started worrying about the gasket coming with the grommets. Most sites included the grommets and state they do but drivewire didn't mention it so I got on live chat and a man named Pablo confirmed my worries and said the grommets where not included. He checked several times for me.
This lead me to ordering 11 grommets early this morning. I would have ordered them all together to save shipping if I had known. I was very upset to see I would have to pay almost $6.00 for shipping AGAIN until I logged into my account. When I logged in the shipping changed to "free" for UPS ground. It actually said "free". This got me very very excited because I thought it changed to "free" because they where just going to put it with the rest of my order or something. However when I completed my order low and behold the almost $6.00 for shipping was charged to my card.
This means for one valve cover gasket and 11 grommets I paid almost $12 for shipping because I had to make two separate orders.
I know I know, this was my fault for assuming the grommets are included. I was just more concerned and angry that drivewire didn't seem to care. Pablo never once tried to find a way to get me the grommets on the same order.. I ordered the cover at 8 or so at night so I know it wasn't shipped yet and when I sent an email telling about the "free" shipping i got a reply from dennis saying that was an error and they couldn't do anything about it or refund the shipping. Dennis was friendly but still didn't offer any solutions so I just replied saying I will take the loss yada yada yada.
The reason for this review is to warn customers to read and ask questions before your order because drivewire will not help out AFTER. Its as if they don't care about the customer.
after paying shipping twice on the two separate orders i paid a total of about $38. I could have got the parts from the local napa for $36 + tax so around $40 they really didn't save me any money. If I didn't pay shipping on the second order though they would have saved me close to $10 and $10 is worth saving.
So in conclusion, ask your questions before you order or you will be left in the loop of customer service who doesn't really care about the customer. I guess because they already have your money.
As for shipping the parts, I can't really comment on that. I received a tracking number for both orders this morning. Both orders still say "waiting on UPS to receive the package" but if the packages really go out today and dont sit in the warehouse for days, then drivewire is really fast at processing orders which is a plus. I will update this portion once I receive the order. Im hoping to change the gasket over easter weekend so I hope it arrives Wednesday or Thursday"
"I have bought a ton of car parts off line and I must say that Drivewire is by far the worst business ever. They lie on shippment times and make false promises. My car has been on jack stands for almost 2 weeks now. They came up with a google search and had some AGX struts for about $15 less than the competition. I ordered and payed $237 promptly. They told me they would be shipped in 2 days.
5 days later they were still not shipped. I contacted them and was told they were all ready to ship and would be sent out within 24 hours. I gave them 3 business days and a full weekend before contacting them again. Still not even shipped! They refused to refund me my money. They want me to receive the product first and then send it back to them! If I ever get my product or money back I will be amazed. I have recorded the converstation and posted it on my website for everyone to see how ridiculous it is.

Also you should note that if you buy anything from this company you get put on some US parts mailing list. I get spammed everyday about some "parts" program that only operates by email because the deals are too good and too quick. This sounds legit, let's operate via email so we have no site to be reliable for.

I don't recommend this company to anyone and beware if they don't get your packages to you and you request a refund. It will take at least a month to get any response back from them and when you do talk to them everyone has given me a different reason for why my refund hasn't been issued. "Decent price and normal shipping, but horrible QC process. I ordered a tail light for my car passenger side. They mailed me out the drivers side. When I called customer service they confirmed that the part number was for the passenger side, they just mailed out the wrong part. I am currently trying to get the correct part shipped to me and will update review based on that process. Overall with all of the other parts stores out there, they did not make a good first impression and I would not shop here again.
Update: 4/7/2011 - They contacted and promptly shipped me out the correct part. I havent ever shopped here before so I dont know if this is an isolated issue, but they did go out of their way to ensure I got the correct part."
"Do not I repeat DO NOT order from this web site. I say this because you will not get what is pictured or in the decription. I ordered a pair of, what was suspose to be, preassembled rear shocks for my 1995 Grand Prix, the shocks arrived very promply, but were just the shocks not the assembly. I used the on line chat and chatted with 2 people about the issue. I was first transfered to a customer service specialist. They argued with me that it was my fault because the decription did not list everything that came with the shock. The picture shows a preassembled shock and the decription is "AC Delco rear suspension shock absorber and strut assembly" not sure how I read this wrong. After arguing with this person with no resolve I asked what the part number was for the correct part. I was transfered back to the first person, a Sales Specialist. The sales specialist put together a quote for me and explained how to get to the quote. I opened up the quote and it showed an upper mount and a shock assembly of a different part # and same brand. I asked the specialist, using this term very loosly, what was the difference between the two part numbers and he proceeded to tell me that the one I ordered was only the shock, superizing, and the one he quoted we was the assembly. I asked him if that is the assembly why did I need the upper mounts? He responded, "sorry please remove that KYSM5277, upper mount, from the shopping cart". At this time I had had enough and ended with this comment, "I'm done dealing with your company. Your web site is decieving not showing the correct images with the product. You have proven that even you are confused with these parts. I'm returning my shocks and going else where!". I waited for a response, but received the message that the conversation was terminated. No resolve and I'm still waiting, after 3 days, to receive a RMA# after filling out there RMA form. Bad Bad customer service!!!"
