"This site was recommended by a coworker and I was excited that I could save some money on car parts. When a family member went online to find the parts, a customer service rep came on live to chat with him and assured him that they would get the right parts to us. I placed the order and this is where the joke begins.
I ordered the parts, which were in stock, was charged the different prices for front and rear shocks. The first pair arrived quickly. Here it is a week later and the other pair is still in transit. Why were they shipped seperately?
When I told family member who was talking with CSR that the 2nd pair would arrive 7/27 he became curious and researched and found that they were shipping the exact same pair as first shipment.
After 40 minutes on the phone with Drivewire, he was transferred to 3 different areas and was told that we would have to wait for the RMA for the 2nd pair and place another order and spend more money to get the correct pair of shocks before being refunded money for incorrect pair...
NO THANK YOU! I am returning all of the shocks and I will not be doing business with Drivewire.com again. "
"My review of Drivewire is simple. Firstly, I would like to commend them on the quickness of order processing and shipment. I received the part the next day with normal shipping and was very pleased with that. On the other hand they repeatedly sent me the wrong part. While I can't fault a particular person, I discovered that the parts were mislabeled on the website, thereby making it impossible to choose the right one. For that reason, I probably will not return because I was not able to get the actual part I needed, but did manage to receive two that I didn't."

I ordered several replacement auto parts for my Subaru Forester from Drivewire. In that order I had requested 4 spark plugs that were listed clearly on their site as "platinum tipped". When the order arrived they were not platinum tipped plugs. I made several calls and emails about the problem and eventually they sent me a RMA number to return them. I mailed the plugs back at my expense and never heard from them again, even though I have attempted to contact them at least three times since then. It is now over 3 months since I mailed the plugs back.
I do not recommend doing business with them at this time."

"Thanks to Reseller Ratings and Call3, Drivewire finally refunded my money. They told me that they (US Auto Parts) had just bought the company and could not access the records for 2009. It took almost 6 months, but I did get my money back. (Written on May 14, 2010).
This company is horrible. I needed a headlight bulb for my car. I called Drivewire to make sure I would get the correct bulb. The salesman told me what to order. I ordered it and it came to my home very quickly. When I got round to installing it, I found that it was totally the WRONG bulb for my car.
They had sold me a bulb for $85.80 that didn't even fit. I got an RMA# from them and Fedexed it to their returns address (at my expense). That was in the beginning of December. I never heard from them again. They won't return my emails or calls. Finally, this week (April 10th-2010) I got a human on the phone. He said they had no record of me, my order, or the RMA. I also had an account on their site. They seem to have deleted it, as I cannot log in. I have emails from and to them for all phases of the transaction. They have just stolen my money. I have enlisted the help of a local TV station's consumer advocate department to help me with this. Drivewire.com should not even be in business, in my opinion. They evidently destroyed all records of me and my order, and the RMA. Is $85 too much for this company to refund, especially when they are the ones that told me the WRONG part to order. It turned out that the light bulb I needed cost $11.95 at my local auto parts store. I am still furious with Drivewire.com for ripping me off like this. I would never recommend them to anyone, and hope they go bankrupt. (hopefully after they refund my money.)"

"Based upon DriveWire.com's very well designed website I expected a trouble free purchase.
I purchased an oxygen sensor at about 9:30PM on 03/11/2010, but never received a confirmation e-mail. (NOTE: It is possible that I mistyped my e-mail address during the purchase, but I don't believe that was the case.)
The next day I e-mailed DriveWire, and also used their webpage contact form, asking for a status of my purchase, but they never responded.
Surprisingly, the oxygen sensor then arrived by Fed-EX on 03/13/2010.
Bottom line:

- Wonderful webpage

- Poor communication

Worst online ordering experience I've ever had.
Ordered taillight for my BMW and light did not fit the car. Returned (at my own expense) and took 2 months and multiple calls before the credit was given then $38.00 less than the $155.00 I paid for it.
Was told it was a restocking and handling fee by e-mail.
I have to pay them to restock an iten that was the wrong part???
Numerous, numerous phone calls and e-mails have been unaswered. After reading these reviews I have a feeling I'll never see my complete refund.
Seems unusual the the "ratings" are either extremely negative or a 2 sentence response on how great the place is. I think someone at the company has 200+ e-mail adresses.
Update : After posting this review and 2 more calls to customer care my order has mysteriously disappeared out of their system even though I have several confirmation e-mails and the original packing order. Now when I call there is "nothing they can do" since they cannot bring up the information on their computers. I ask repeatedly to speak to a manager or supervisor about this situation with no response. Most of you lost a lot more money than I did and I have spent more valuable time than it's worth to get a refund but others beware - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY."
