"I ordered Farming Simulator 17 for xbox one (Recycled Version) for 39.99$ The day after I placed my order I got an email notifying me that my order got approved and confirmed. I live 2 hours away from the nearest EB Games store so I figure I would save some money by ordering it online and paying 4.99$ for shipping. The day after, out of curiosity, I decided to check the Online Inventory and it stated it was "Out Of Stock". After seeing that, I decided to call them just to confirm that my order was processed before they ran out. The guy told me that yup, it was all good and it's in the process of getting shipped as we speak. Perfect I Thought. Another week went by and I never got an email saying it was shipped. So I decided to send an email this time to ask what was going on. Same story, they said "We can confirm your order is being packaged right now and will be shipped in the next few days. Another week went by, still nothing. So I decided to call again. Lady told me that are very busy and sometimes items get shipped without notifying the buyer. Odd I thought, but what ever! Another week went by and still nothing. So I decided to call again. Guy told me that they were out of stock, and it wouldn't be shipped until they get stock again, he said that could take days, weeks, or months. WTF. I told them that was unacceptable after everything I went through and after what everybody else said! I told them to send me a new version then if there was no "Recycled" version left. He said he couldn't do that! Well I told them straight up that they just lost a customer and I will never be buying a game with them again! I decided to pay full price for the game and I ordered it through Best Buy. The game even came in early!
Needless to say I will NEVER be dealing with EB Games again, and I would suggest people to think twice before ordering a game through that store!"
"Jenny, the brunette chick with glasses that works there, was extremely rude and denied me from purchasing a game console. She says "only one per household" which I call BS on. My boyfriend who bought one that same day whom lives at a different address was able to get one! Now I am denied from purchasing a console because I think she is holding them for herself. "This is the worst video game store ever! I usually go to best buy because I can wander while my parents pick out a new phone or something. But I went to EB games because they had a deal saying: "Trade in 3, get a switch game free!" I wanted The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the nintendo switch and decided to take advantage of that offer. The cashier took my 7 games (I wanted to get 2 switch games) and declared 3 of them 'too old'. She gave me $3, 50 pathetic cents, $2 and $1.50. I got my parents to drive ALL the way to that stupid store JUST to get $8 off. I could have sold those games and gotten way more. They didn't say on their website that value would be determined. Complete trash. I hope that place shuts down. Never going back except to pick up my pre-order. Complete scammers. Please, ignore this store and go straight to best buy or whatever retailer you have nearby other than EB games."
"Over two weeks ago I ordered two Nintendo 3ds faceplates which said they were both in stock and ready to ship. I bought them and they said they were to be delivered two days later. The first problem I had with EB games was that I was charged a dollar in a separate transaction than paying for my products. I know $1 isn't much but in no way was I informed that it would be taken and it makes me feel like they are going to take more money from me that I don't know about!
The second issue is that since I have ordered it, it has not arrived and the status has not changed from processing. Multiple times I have contacted them and nothing has been done! The first two times I messaged them though their website and never received a reply. Then I called up their phone number and spoke to someone about it. She was absolutely no help. She told me that one of the items may have been out of stock (even though they were clearly in stock) or that they were unable to locate them in the warehouse. So why did they not contact with the problem and let me know what was happening and offer a way that this could be resolved!!! The lady told me that she would look into it and yet again NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!!!!!!!
Over I am appalled at the terrible service given at EB Games. I refuse to give in and let them steal my money! I know that I will never again shop at EB Games and I hope that you will not make the same mistake as me!"
"I am extremely disappointed in the lack of service I have received from EB Games. I ordered an Xbox 360 wired control on the 8th November and whilst placing this, it said that the delivery would only take 1-2 business days. I was very happy with this as I thought I would be getting it within the next few days. Unfortunately, a week or so went by and the control had not been delivered. Within that time, I kept checking the online order delivery status and the delivery date kept jumping forward 2 days. I gave EB Games Customer Service a call and they said that it might have taken a bit longer as they might have been trying to find the control in stock in a store since it was a pre-owned and some places may not have had one one so I gave them a bit of leniency with that. They then said that they had found one which was in a store about 25mins max away from my house. The person on the phone said that they would be sending it out within the day or so. This made me think GREAT it should be coming in within the week at the very latest. So another week had gone by and the delivery date still kept jumping forward. I called up EB Games Customer Service again to double check that it had it had been sent off and that I would be receiving it soon and the person on the phone gave me an excuse that they had no ink at the store to print off the delivery notes so they were unable to send it off but they were getting ink on the day or the next day so it would be sent off by then so I would be receiving it very soon. I thought that this was quite a weird excuse but I went along with it as there wasn't much else I could do. ANOTHER WEEK WENT BY and the control still hadn't been delivered so I called up again... The person on the phone said it was really weird that it hadn't been sent out but I would be receiving it by the following week on the Friday the LATEST. Today is Wednesday and I just checked the expected delivery date and it has changed to the week after that on the Tuesday (which will 100% continue to change to a later date). I have never been so angry before with a service and I do not recommend ANYONE to order their products online. I even explained to the people I spoke to on the phone that I am within driving distance yet it is taking over a month for it to be delivered which is why it makes it even more frustrating because I could've picked it up in 1 day. RIDICULOUS. And here I am still calling them up and wasting my time being on hold for over half an hour. SO ANGRY AND NEVER WILL BE PURCHASING ANYTHING AGAIN. You have lost a customer."
"The cashiers at this store are rude ignorant and mean with no regard for the customer and i little knowledge of the online community, i walked into the store and the told me no eating in the store but thats fine i under stand so i put the last bite in my mouth and went in from there i opens my wallet to pull out my gift card when i access my wallet i do a sort of turn due to wear my pockets are on my jeans. The rude casher says that turing around doesn't help the fact that there is no eating. i was at this point offended put i proceeded to shop. i went to the counter to ask how much money was on my gift card and the casher snatched the card and said in a rude fashion there was $80 so even tho i wanted to leave but i didn't i went to pick up my item and i went to the counter after handing the card to the casher and asked politely for my item with the the casher ( a different one from before) snatched the gift card and told me it was greasy, i am not a cashier but from my basic knowledge i know that that is not something you say to a costumer when the trans action was complete i thanked the casher even with he rude manner and then i got a rude look and i left the store. after i was done my friend asked a question about if the store would purchase his game account and the casher turned he back and said a stern NO while he walked away from my friend.so in finale i encourage you not to enter the store or buy anything from this store, EB games as a franchise is great and i have had good experiences in general but there was a damper put on the store for ever after that encounter in that store... i am very displeased

"Tried to order a refurb ps3 a month ago, received an email saying order confirmed waited a week, nothing, contacted eb was told the order payment failed. Tried again with express shipping because the ps3 was supposed to be a surprise gift, called in eb to confirm, was told it failed because of my financial institution. Called my bank, they confirmed both transactions failed, and that it was on EBs end. Called EB back, they said i could go into the store and buy the ps3 refurb. So i did so. now 2 WEEKS LATER, i get an email and a $200 charge on my credit card, they shipped out the f***** ps3. They waited this long to try again and charge my card, it has screwed up all my bills, and now i have to wait a minimum 4 days for a refund. this is bullcrap, i received no explanation because the ass i spoke to from EB initially failed to cancel the order apparently, even though it failed. i was informed they retain your card information for 6 months! as if, and they will attempt to resubmit for 6 months. So now im out 200$ for no reason for several days. and what do i get for it? nothing, a meek apology from a customer service guy on the phone who feels like crap about what happened, but has no power to do anything except cancel the package and hope it comes right back quickly so i can have my money back. AWESOME. Not to mention i paid like 14 bucks to get express shipping, i done think 15 business days later is express shipping, and it just left yesterday it would still take 3 more days. so 17 days to get here for an extra 14 bucks. when i walked into the store and bought my item same day. There is no way to cancel an order online like they say there is either, you have to call them.
I don't recommend using EB online ever. I didn't receive any emails about the orders failing, the system failed to sync up information, so the initial order that failed still 2 weeks later, said order confirmed, I didn't receive any notice that the second transaction would be attempted so much later. I am very angry. You can pick up items up in store so whats the point in putting your card information out there on the web, to screw up your life. Thanks for nothing EB web. You cause serious inconvenience to me in my life, mess up my bills, and then offer me nothing but an Im sorry. Right on

"I pre-ordered a game, and the only reason I purchased it through EB Games was for the bonus. I would otherwise have purchased it locally or downloaded the game.
They -- without warning -- did not even ship my pre-order bonus, and have offered absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. I've emailed back and forth for over a month because they take up to a week to respond in most instances. Since I opened the game (before realizing the pre-order bonus was missing), they have not offered me a refund. They've also told me there's no guarantee it won't happen again, and that I'm basically gambling with every purchase."
"Had ordered online the Kinect for the Xbox 360, and a game. Came up to a total of $39.58. Went to check out, put my card information, pressed the pay button and a notice came up that my order was declined, to check my card information. So I tried it again, maybe I eneterend in a wrong number by accident. Nope!! As it states again my order had been declined. Looked to see if the item I was trying to see was still in stock, was out of stock. Checked my account and EB Games charged me twice of $39.58 for a total of $79.16!!! So I called the customer service line. Talked to a lady in which I was told that "it is rare it happenes" but that she had seen it before and that my "account wasn't actually charged, that they just see if the customer has sufficient funds in their account." In which I had staid that my bank statement says the yes it has been withdrawn. Which the lady had replied that different banks "might think it is a purchase, and that the money should be seen put back in 5 bussiness days." Okay, well if I wasn't "actually charged" then why say that I will see my money back in my account in 5 bussiness days??? "

I placed a pre-order for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Limited Edition for PS4 earlier this month, it was not shipped even 5 days after the release date; I had to call twice, wait 14 minutes each time to talk to someone and not get a reasonable answer every time! Hence I ended up cancelling my order! Then I was Issued an ONLINE CREDIT!
Second Mistake: I decided to pre-order GTA 5 for PS4 since I had the Credit and couldn't use it otherwise… My order was displayed as confirmed and my Credit Card was Charged (for the remainder of the balance) 1 Day before the Release Date. Now this is the outraging part; most companies charge the card when they are ready to fulfil the order and ship out the goods; on the other hand your company charged my card 1 day before the release date and the order has not yet been shipped after 3 Days PAST THE RELEASE DATE! (Yes! very amateur you shall say…)
On monday when I noticed that there is no shipping email in my inbox I decided to place a pre-order online with Best Buy to create a Plan B since I had prior experience with Call of Duty and this time I really wanted to get GTA on the release date. The "Same Day" (Monday) I received an email that my order was Processed, The "Same Day" I received a shipping Notice and Surprisingly (To you! Not to me…) I got the game on the release date which was the next day in mail (Hallelujah! Is that even possible? you might say…)
My order is still marked as confirmed yet I have not received a shipping notice even though my card was charged on Monday. I wanted to express how disgusted I am with your services… however I do not have any choice and will keep waiting for this order to get fulfilled in order to get rid of my priorly issued credit and stay away forever…"
