Terrible shopping experience

"I ordered the C++ book from the seller over a week ago and still haven't gotten a tracking number yet despite multiple emails sent to the seller. Now I'm behind on my online assignments. The only good about this transaction was the price. But what good is this if I don't even know if I'll ever receive the book?"

I am sorry to read you have not yet received your Marketplace item. At eCampus.com, we offer our customers low prices on the thousands of books we keep in stock at our warehouse. However, some select titles may not be available or at a price you can afford. For those titles, we host a 3rd party platform called the eCampus.com Marketplace. This marketplace allows 3rd party sellers, such as you or me with an unneeded copy, to post their items for sale to our customer base. Because this is an external selling platform used by everyday students, we allow sellers up to 5 business days to confirm and ship a sale.

To address your issue, I have emailed the seller directly to receive an update on your order. Once I receive a response, I will forward it to you. If they do not provide a valid tracking number by end of business on 6/1, I will process a full refund on your behalf. In addition, I have sent you an email containing details of an in store credit applied to your account as our way of apologizing for your inconvenience. Nesty cover

"My order arrived in a very nice envelope, and I got very excited about the book. When I opened the envelope, I was shocked by the condition of the cover of the book. The cover is so dirty and filthy that I can see all the stains; moreover, the cover is very sticky. In one word, I received a book in condition when I have to use gloves to open it."

Cancelled Order

"I rented a textbook and my order was cancelled several days later even though my account was already charged. I read several reviews where the same thing happened to others, but I decided to take the chance. I'm regretting that now. Customer service was not helpful at all. They could not determine the reason for the cancellation, and it took almost a week to get a refund. I won't be using this rental service ever again."

Where's my book?

"I still haven't received my book in the mail and I should have gotten it last week. My class has already started and I need the book by Wednesday! I was hoping for a speedy delivery but I was, obviously, let down! I only used this site because it was the cheapest. But I'd rather pay more to RECEIVE my book than pay anything at all to receive NOTHING! Ridiculous."

"As I was keeping up on the shipping / delivering, my book ended up being two days late.. The packaging was kind of odd, basically a paper envelope, which came with a huge hole in it. Could've definitely been from the mail carrier, but disappointed my book came late. "

Scam worthy

"I am never buying from this site again. I ordered what was labeled as a textbook and got a workbook instead that looked nothing like the picture. At the time of buying, it didn't say anything about it being a workbook in the title and now I have to pay for shipping to return something I never wanted to begin with. I tried getting help from someone in live chat named Amber who ended the chat abruptly before I was even done. I will make sure to leave bad reviews in other places too. "

I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding what you ordered and received. In cases where the cover is listed as different from what you receive, we do use the 13 digit ISBN to verify that what you ordered is what you received. In this case the ISBN which was sent to you directly from the publisher matches exactly what was ordered. Sometimes, publishers do rebind, or come out with new covers (this is especially common if, for example, a movie comes out for a text and the cover changes). The text is exactly the same but the cover has changed not necessitating an ISBN change. I personally always recommend that you order the text needed by ordering with the ISBN you need and not the title/cover. As a one time courtesy I have waived your shipping and restocking fees upon the return and check in of your item.
