"I ordered 5 yards of a clearance (expensive - even clearanced) fabric that I couldn't find anywhere else anymore. They only had 5 yards in stock. I ordered before I found the reviews and was worried. Exactly 2 days and 1 minute to my order time my fabric had been shipped and I had a tracking number. Within one week I had my fabric in hand. I quickly opened it and checked it and the fabric looks good. The pattern is slightly smaller than I was anticipating, but that was just an expectation based on a previous similar fabric I had. My only complaint is that they advertise a generous cut and my cut wasn't straight and part of it is actually less than 5 yards by a little bit, but for what I need it for it won't matter. Had they had more in stock I would have ordered slightly more but it was all they had so I'm a little more understanding.

The only challenge I had with ordering was that they'd advertised 20% off your first order and I had to register 3 email addresses (using different browsers each time) before I got a code to use and even then you had to create an account on fabric.com using that email address to use the code. I found that if you bring your concerns up on their facebook page, you get a much faster response than most of the complaints I read here were stating. This was one of the concerns addressed and they were willing to help you with that issue.

I'm satisfied with their service and would use them again. I'm not sure I got a deal on the fabric, but I can't find it elsewhere and it's what I wanted.

"I ordered seven yards of fabric 3/12/2015 and my card was immediately charged; received the fabric 3/19/2015. Problem was it has obviously set in coffee prior to shipping. I called the company and e-mailed them pictures that same day with no answer back. When I called again on 3/20/2015 I was assured that they would have UPS out to my house the next day to return the fabric. I waited all day and still no UPS. This company is dishonest and I believe deliberately lies to their customers. Just look at all the reviews."

"I just received my latest Fabric.com order and I find it funny that when I had trouble placing the order I told their customer service rep that it probably wouldn't be correct when it arrived. Ha! I was right again. I have been arguing with this company for over two years now--orders that aren't correct, fabric cut inconsistently, etc. I have complained repeatedly to Customer Service, asked to speak to supervisors, sent pictures of my fabric.com orders (and compared them to other online fabric sources), and asked to speak to management. NOTHING EVER GETS FIXED. On my last order, I ordered a mixed primary color batik and I received a pink and purple plaid with a metallic thread. Today's order included a half yard of Ann Kelle telephone fabric and I got three quarters of a yard of a quilter's pattern fabric that I would never purchase. Do you not read the picking ticket? The order came stuffed in a plastic mailer with no other internal packaging (would've all been damaged if the outside bag had ripped), and ONCE AGAIN none of the fabrics were consistently folded and NOTHING was in order with the packing list. How can you have such contempt for your customers? At least try to give the impression that you appreciate my business. Can you not teach your staff how to fold fabric? Can you not take a minute and organize an order with the packing slip? Maybe then you would see when you are sending the incorrect fabric. Wonder who has my fabric if I have theirs? It has got to cost a fortune if you send customers the wrong fabric, have them keep that, and then have to pay shipping to send the correct fabric. What a cost of doing business. I have urged Fabric.com to have their management place orders from their own company and then from their competitors. They have no idea how much better of a job all of their competition is doing. Fabric.com needs to get their act together. It's hard to believe that this company is owned by Amazon. NEVER have I received an amazon order like this. So much for the $150 order I wanted to place. It's just a shame that they carry some fabric lines that you can't find anywhere else. "

"Ordered $50 dolars of fabric on FEBRUARY 9TH. Received an email MARCH 3RD saying the order was processed and was going to be shipped. FINALLY received my order on MARCH 6TH. TERRIBLE!!!!! I called and filed a complaint, and they offered me $10 in store credit. I turned down the offer, informing them I would NEVER use fabric.com again, and asked for a $10 refund to my credit card instead, which they did. NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE."

"Horrible service. Can you give zero stars? My order was nearly $200 on approximately 2/16/2015. I received an email that the processing of my order was delayed and they would ship it with two day expedited shipping at no extra cost to me. After contacting them twice it finally ships on 3/3/2014 regular ground with six days shipping time. Not the two day I was promised. Not sure what I will find when I get it. Very unprofessional. When I contacted them about that they said they would give me a $10 credit to purchase something else. There are many other reputable organizations that would love to service my order - I will never shop with Fabric.com again. Buyer beware - save yourselves the headache."

"I had a client pick out multiple samples on their site - weeks went by and they hadn't arrived. When I went onto fabric.com to track the order, it said the order had been cancelled, but I was never notified of this. It also deleted the item numbers and didn't show which fabric swatches were in the order, so all of the time spent sifting through their site went to waste. I emailed their customer service about this irritating experience, and didn't get a reply back for SIX days. When I replied to the email, another several days wen by with no response. I called customer service and was given generic responses and no options to remedy the situation. Considering that I order from them on a regular basis, I was pretty annoyed that they weren't helpful at all. Their shipping costs are high and shipping time is extremely slow, add my awful costumer service experience to that, and I will be taking my business elsewhere 100% of the time."

"The worst I have had to call customer service at least six times in the past two months regarding my fabric. The first incident they sent me the wrong color and were nice enough to have it sent back but it took forever to process. Then I had to deal with at least three different people to get my refund credited back to my account which isn't rocket Science. Then when I went to go place an order that was in stock I placed it when they had 53 yards I get an email saying they're out of stock after waiting almost 4 days. At this point my project is way overdue and I don't want to use them and they will not credit all my money back to my credit card because I used two different credit cards one which was a visa gift card that I cut up due to. No money on it. Then they tell me they can put a credit on my account but it could take 3 to 5 business days how does a credit a store credit take 3 to 5 business days. Apparently the people in the accounting department don't know how to do there job. On the customer service agents were really sweet but I am to the point where I just want all my money back that you were going to give me because I paid for your crappy products. "

"I don't normally write review but I wanted to let people know how disappointed I am with This company and how issues are dealt with. I placed an order on January 26th. Received an email saying my order was completed and everything was in stock when I ordered. I received another email a WEEK later saying one of the fabrics I ordered was not in stock???and that I Had 24 hours to change it. It took me days to pick the fabric I did. I wrote an email back saying how disappointed I was. NO RESPONSE. Phoned and left a message. NO RESPONSE. Emailed again saying I needed more than 24 hours to choose different fabric. NO RESPONSE. Is it company policy to ignore your customers. Then today I get an email saying that the rest of my order was processed!!!REALLY! I did not authorize them to put that order through and contacted you immediately. The lady was very kind on the phone and had the shipment stopped and my money refunded. Will see if that goes through. Why have an email if you are not going to respond! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

"Place an order with them in December. One of the fabrics was on back order. Never heard anything from the company until I sent an e-mail about where was my fabric. I was told it would not be available until April. Got an e-mail today from them stating that the fabric was ready to ship, but I needed to pay for it???? Threatened me that I had to take care of this within 24 hours. That really upset me that I would have to do the research with Paypal. Told them to just go ahead and cancel. POOR customer service in my opinion"

"Placed an order for 5 swatches of polar fleece. When the order arrived (10-14 days later), of the 5 swatches, only one had a label. (A label with a product number is necessary for placing an order. Also, since the products I had ordered for comparison were similar, I couldn't possibly have guessed which was which.) I immediately emailed, asking for a replacement order.

14 days later, the replacement arrived--4 swatches, 2 labels, no explanation for why one swatch was missing. I emailed immediately. 4 business days later (a month and a day from the date of my original order), having gotten no response to my email, I decided to call and ask for the order to be sent a third time. Before I called however, I went online and read some of the reviews on this website. This made me realize that the customer "service" I was receiving is standard operating procedure for Fabric.com and decided I'd be better off getting out of this transaction entirely. The telephone rep listened to my tale of woe and issued me a refund. Her name is Lashunda and in the context of the rest of the experience I was having, her politeness and professionalism were surprising and pleasant.

Fabric.com claims to be a subsidiary of Amazon, but I'd characterize it as the poor country cousin--it is certainly not benefiting from the management and logistics wizardry at Amazon.

Given the extensive selection Fabric.com offers, I really wish it were a usable resource. I will avoid this store in the future if I possibly can.

"Worst online company EVER!!! They have the WORST turn around time, shipping time, and even WORSE customer service, while handling a situation, that THEY screwed up on. I think this company is probably TOO big for their own good and whoever is running it, has not a CLUE what they are doing! I have been ordering from them for almost 2 years, with one issue after another and after this week, it is the LAST straw!!!! Never ever again! Hawthorne Threads, or Onlinefabric.com , even stylishfabric.com are MUCH better resources to go to for fabric. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!"
