"I researched the recumbent bike I wanted to purchase and decided on the ST Fitness 4705 Recumbent Bike. After calling and speaking multiple times to Max, I decided to go ahead with the purchase. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. He picked up my calls EVERYTIME I called. I was told that I would receive my order within two weeks but that I would receive a call or an email with further information in a few days. Everything sounded great but that is where the good stopped with this company.
After a week, I followed up with Max via email to inquire about the expected delivery date and also to request a refund for the difference of their price and a competitor. I provided the link to the cheaper bike.
After two business days and not having received a reply, I called customer service. I spoke to Kevin at extension 224. Kevin could not help me with getting a credit as he said that had to go through my salesperson, however, he provided the name of the transport company (Forward Air), a tracking number and told me to expect delivery on Monday, May 24, 2010.
A few mintues later after hanging up with Kevin, Max called me (I assume at Kevin’s urging), and said that in order for me to receive a refund of the difference, I would have to research and find out three different things regarding shipping, warranty and something else from the other company. As the customer, he should have done this for me. Not instruct me to do it.
On Monday, May 24, 2010, when looking at the freight company’s page today, it said the order was out for delivery. I was waiting at home for this delivery. Late in the day the status changed to recovered. After calling that company and getting no help, I received an email from Fitness Blowout providing me another company’s name and a tracking number.
This company, HomeDirect USA – Bronze, couldn’t immediately help me. I also received a bill from their finance company with a payment due in a few weeks and I HAVEN’T even received the machine. After all of this frustration, I called Fitness Blowout to cancel my order. I was told that I had to pay to ship the item back to them. They absolutely refuse to refund me 100% for an item that I don’t have NOR have I ever even seen. Within a few minutes of talking to Augustine, a supervisor, who refused to escalate my call to a higher level customer service agent, I received a call from a freight company who suddenly could deliver the bike on Thursday and only on Thursday. I have ordered from Bowflex before and experienced NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. I wish I had gone through them. I would have already received my order and it would have been correct.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY……THEY WILL HELP YOU UP UNTIL YOU PLACE AN ORDER AND THEN YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. BUYER BEWARE!!!


REPLY/UPDATE:

The company finally refunded $100 to my account as promised upon the sale of equipment. It took three billing cycles and many emails from me. I must say that I love the recumbent bike we purchased. I think you have to be patient and not have high expections of their customer service.

"I tried another internet reseller of the Arc Trainer and was very
disappointed with their customer service, weeks of my calling, no followup
and therefore no sale. I called Fitness Blowout and was impressed from the
word hello. Nico helped me finance and answered all of my questions within
minutes. I am very excited about receiving my equipment and happy to know
that they are behind me with such a great warranty.

"Ordered machine for $1475 including a "free" extended warranty and a cheap mat. Saw it at the manufacturer for $1299 within a day. (Both places included free shipping.) Called for price match. Best I could get was $100 due to the free stuff. Then found it new on eBay for under $1000. Called to cancel order. Threatened with restocking charge for something still in stock. Allowed order to go through. Sales guy called the next week and I repeated that although I don't like restocking charges on items still in stock, go ahead and ship. Days later, when I got my credit card statement, no $100 credit. So I called to check on it...no credit...no shipment, either. So I cancelled and was threatened again with restocking. I said to do what they had to do and I'll do what I have to do. I put the charge in dispute with my credit card company, gave them these facts with real dates and names and the charge was removed. During this time, someone fraudulently used my card at the Apple Store (I use PCs) and the card was replaced, so I bet when these guys tried to ding me for a couple hundred bucks, it was denied. Now they got my company name off my mobile phone message and are calling me on my landline at work. Talk about chutzpah! They don't live up to their promises, then they screw up and fail to ship (TWICE!!!) and they still want a restocking fee. Oy!"

"I ordered this on 3/6/10 SPECIFICALLY be told the unit is 'in stock' and would be shipped the following week, as I am only 2.5 hours from this location, I offered to come pick it up , but was assured that I'd have no later than 10 days, so I listened to the salesperson. I was due to leave town on 3/20/10 so on 3/17/10 after absolutely NO contact (being 10 days later) I called and spoke to Augustine, who said he'd check into things and get back to me. On that date he assured me it would not be ANY LATER THAN TUESDAY 3/23/10 so I canceled my trip so I could receive the unit. On 3/19/10 (a Friday) after having NO CONTACT yet AGAIN I emailed again, yet NO RESPONSE. I tried on Sat 3/20/10 but of course NO CUSTOMER SERVICE requests are addressed over the weekend) after speaking to a sales rep, I was told to call back on MOnday 3/22/10. On 3/22/10 I got an email "You will be receiving the tracking number soon. Just waiting for it to be sent to us from our vendor. " After several emails back and forth on 3/22/10,3/23/10, and 3/24/10 I WAS ASSURED that I would have an answer on 3/25/10. Now it is the END OF THE DAY ON 3/25/10 and I got NO RESPONSE. I tried to reach Jim Rosen the owner , or someone named Marc who is Director of Operations, but alas, no response. I have asked for my money back and to cancel the order, but they won't respond. I should of bought local. They sure took my money within seconds, but are full of many empty promises, and no responses. If I do not hear from someone by noon on 3/26/10 I will be contacting my attorney, as well as disputing the cc charges, and contacting the BBB. STEAR CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY unless you have no problem waiting and waiting and waiting....and have patience to believe outright lies. I am in customer service, and when someone says they'll get back to you, they SHOULD. This company should be ashamed of itself!"

"Ordered a PRECOR AMT100i for $6245 total including "White Glove Shipping" & "Lifetime Warranty" from Steve Barzilai. Steve was very helpful and professional. Shipping was estimated to take at least 21 days. Delivery company (Sunshine Shipping) was the best I've ever experienced; polite, no scratches, everything perfect. Delivery took about 60 days. Considering I saved $1200+ compared to the next best price, I felt it was a great deal and worth the wait."

"I ordered a precor 100I for 6398.00 on 2/1/2010 from Nick Taylor. I was told I would have it in 21 days. I called on 3/1/2010 and spoke to Scott Dintzner the claims manager who told me that he could email me an update later in the day. He emailed at 6:00pm that night that he was still waiting for information. I then called back on 3/1/2010 and spoke to Martin Samiglieti to be told the equipment comes from overseas but they could offer me a plastic mat $40.00. I will file a claim with the BBB in the morning. I will have to call my credit card to file a dispute. What a hassle. Please think twice before making a large purchase."

"I placed my order (#92527) with Michael on Dec. 29th. The ordering process went smoothly. I was told to expect delivery in 3 weeks. I called 3 weeks later and was told the item was actually on back order from the manufacturer. I wished to cancel my order, and Michael said he'd take care of it. I get a call back stating they would offer an additional $100 off if I would keep the order and wait 3-4 more weeks. I refused and asked for the order to be canceled.

I then received a a series of emails stating my order was now being handled by Augustine, Joanne, Sandy, Nick. After 3-4 days of receiving all these emails, I still had no order cancellation number. I emailed and called again. This time I received an email both from Joanne and Michael that my order has been canceled.

After several days I contact the credit card and the charges are still not reversed. I send an email to Michael, Joanne again. This time I receive an email from Steve (Manager) asking Joanne "to process the order ASAP with full refund." 2.5 weeks later and there is still no refund issued.

I have now disputed the charges with the credit card company, and purchased the equipment locally. Stay away from this company, while they appear to be attentive to resolve your issues. It is a bunch of smoke and mirrors to give the customer the run around.

UPDATE: After posting on here, I received a call from Steve. He apologized for the delay, and offered me a substantial discount, and followed through with follow up emails to me, and coordinated with the manufacturer to get the item shipped two me within two weeks.
While I wish things had gone smoothly like this the first time. I understand there can be delays. Hopefully in the future fitnessblowout.com will have better communication to avoid frustration for both sides. I am a satisfied customer now.

"Received the treadmill (Cardiozone Supersport II Fold-Away) about 2.5 weeks after order. Appears to be a nice piece of equipment. I'll update on that end in a few months. The heart rate monitor strap was missing, but customer service promises to send one ASAP.
One warning: Unless you have several strong guys (I'm no weakling)to get this box which weighs 250 lbs where it needs to go, then pick the gold glove delivery! I know that FitnessBlowout does not control the delivery end, but the delivery was atrocious! The guy just left the box literally IN THE STREET! When I asked the delivery guy to help me get it to the door, he simply said "Nope.". Fortunately, my neighbor was home, and it was still quite a chore.

"Ordered a Body Craft Home gym on 10/17/09. Told gym was in stock and I should receive gym in approx. 15 days. I was told by my sales person, Nick, that freight company would call approx. 2 days prior to delivery to set up appointment. My credit card was charged at that time. Sent e-mail on 10/30/09 to find out status of gym. No response. Sent another e-mail on 11/2/09 - response checking status, would get back with me. As of 11/4/09 no update. Call Fitness blowout and Augustine sent e-mail to Body Craft for status. No response - called Body Craft myself and found out that gym was on back order and they did not have a shipment date. Fitness Blowout did not enough notify me that gym was on backorder. Called my sales rep Nick and told him my issue that I had already been charged for a product that had not shipped and did not have a ship date. At this point I had received my credit card statement and need to pay for something that I did not have. He talked to his manger and they would issue me a $50 credit. Over the next couple of weeks left many voice mails and sent many e-mails to see when my gym would be delivered. As of 11/10/09 had not received $50 credit on my credit card as Nick had promised. He said it could take up to 2 weeks to get through their system. Finally after many e-mails, phone calls and threating to report them to the Better Business Bureau received tracking number on 11/24/09 and home gym on 11/25/09. As of 12/16/09 I still have not received my $50 credit. Nick keeps tellng me he is checking on it. I agree that Fitness Blowout has the best price, but the time I sent trying to get my gym was not worth the savings. If anyone from Fitness Blowout would like to dispute this claim, I will be happy to share my e-mails and phone call logs with you. Don't waste your time with this company, save yourself the headache and order from a company that has customer service."

"I recently purchased a CardioZone Commercial SuperSport Club II Fold-Away from Fitness Blowout. I was very favorably impressed with the salesperson (Michael Seaton) that I dealt with on the phone while inquiring about the equipment and making the purchase. He was well informed, cordial, accomodating and a pleasure to deal with. There was no pressure to purchase. The equipment arrived today and I quickly assembled it to try it out. It appears to be every bit as good as described in the website and by the salesperson. If my experience with the equipment is anywhere as positive as with the merchant, I know I will be very pleased.
