"BEWARE!!!! GBSHOPPING.COM WAS THE WORST ONLINE PURCHASE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!! Don't do it. I purchased a CD case, then got an email saying my order was cancelled. I picked another model and ordered, then got an email saying it was cancelled. When I called to question, they claimed they had no CD cases of any kind in stock and wouldn't be getting any soon. Two days later I get an email saying my order shipped (my cancelled second one?) and I get charged double on my credit card. When I call to ask, they say I ordered 2 of the 2nd case. My receipt (that I still have) clearly states 1, and I offer to email it back to them. They said, "it's your word against ours." They said I could send one back if I paid the shipping on it, and after I argued that it was their mistake, they decided they weren't going to let me return the product at all. The customer service rep refused to let me speak to anyone else. I reported them to the BBB. Please don't give them your business!!"
"I will never order from this site again. I received a two phone calls trying to sell me an extended warranty. During these calls I found out I was going to get a foreign model of my order. I tried cancelling, but was offered the "American" version. Although I ordered one item, I received and was charged for two. "They came across as a decent company by their website. The camera was listed as "BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED WITH USA WARRANTY". If I had know what was coming next I wouldnt have ordered from them. The day after I purchased the camera online I received a phone call stating that I needed to talk to them in order to verify the order. When I called back the associate did confirm the order and then asked "if I would like to purchase any accessories". When I said "no" he then told me the camera was not a "USA" model and that the "USA" was $90 more. I told him of their website advertisement and he had nothing to say. I told him to cancel the order and he reduced the price some and made a deal to throw in rush shipping for free. I agreed....BIG MISTAKE. When I received the camera it was NOT in a factory box or sealed. The battery was beat up and in a plastic bag. I am wondering if it was refurbished or used at this point. It even got worse...when I saw the charge on my card it was $175 more than what I agreed as online, not the $90 more I agreed to on the phone. I could have bought an authentic NEW camera from a reputable company for what I finally paid these back-alley phonies for a unsealed second-hand camera. Now they won't return my emails and they hang up on my phone calls. I am a Firefighter for my career and it really makes me sick that I put my life on the line almost everyday for people like this. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! If you are foolish enough to do so, just remember the warning signs of what happened to me. "

"BEWARE!!!! TOTAL SCAM and FRAUD!!! Stay away from fotoconnection. Those people are scam artists. I had horrible experience with them. I placed an order for Nikon D50 digital camera. I got called about an hour after my order to "comfirm" it. The customer rep (by the name ot Eddy)started telling me that I had purchased a model that does not have a US warranty because it was an "import model". On their web site it clearly states "Brand New" with "1 yeas USA warranty". Then, he tryed to upsell me with battery and charger ($199!!!), because they were not included in the camera package! On their web site it clearly says "all manufacture accessories" and the charger and battery were listed as included items. I immediately realized that something was wrong and insisted on cancelling my order immediately. Then this person became very rude and persistent, and I could not get rid of him on the phone for 15 minutes. He startel yelling at me, too! Finally, he said "ok, I'll cancel your order" and hung up on me. I was shocked and thought this rediculous thing was over. But it was not!!! After I got home, I had received an imail saying that my order had shipped!!! My credit card was charged, and they sent the item against my will!!! I immediately called them to ask why did they do it. They could not answer, they just tryied to put me in a "post factum" situation. I immediately called my credit card company and explained the situation. The charge will be disputed and I refused the package from UPS. They were supposed to cancel my order, but they did not! I did not even want to know what would be in the box... a defective, or refurbished camera, or who knows what... One more thing: the automated email confirming the placement of the order, and all other emails DO NOT contain the product that you bought, the price, or any information! This way they can do whatever they want with the price, product they send you later, etc. STAY AWAY FROM THOSE CON ARTISTS."

When browsing the site I was directed to the page for my item. The layout for the product page was extremely unfriendly and ultimately I clicked an item being listed on the page that was not the item I intended to purchase. The unfortunate mistake was not noticed until the item arrived. I contacted the company regarding the confusing web layout and the item I received, this item being totally useless to me! I was advised there was a policy in place that stated no returns on my purchase. Had the site not been misleading on the products being sold there would have been no problem. Now I have a $285 item that cannot be used by me and apparently cannot be returned, even when partial blame is due to terrible layout at the website. After reporting this incident the website was changed within hours but no concession has been offered for my inconvenience. I still have the item boxed up and new. Not sure what to do with the item at this point but I know this shopping experience was a BAD one in my book. "
"Very disappointed that one of my items (a subwoofer) was out of stock and this was never communicated to me. The website indicated it was in stock so I was surprised when it did not arrive with the other speakers I ordered. I called a sales rep. and was told it didn't ship because it was out of stock. I did a quick web site search while I had the sales person on the line. I found a similar subwoofer listed as 'IN STOCK' on the website. "I ordered a camera body and separate lens. I received the lens in a few days, received an email with tracking number, and had no issues with that. However, I know nothing about the whereabouts of the camera body. I called last week and was told that it was backordered. I asked when it would be in and was told "a few days", but nothing definitive. I think I should have received notification that the item was backordered as well as some kind of estimate as to when I should expect it.
I was instructed to call to confirm my online order, but it seemed to be no more than an invitation to be upsold.

What follows is my experience with the company.
On October 23rd, 2006 a friend notified me of an incredible deal on a Garmin C530 GPS for $439.00 from “TheNewconnection". I went to their web site, found the item in stock and proceeded to place a WEB order. The web page stated the item was Brand New Factory Sealed with a USA Warranty. Later that day I received a call from an individual with “TheNewConnection” asking to verify my shipping information. He then tried to sell me an extended warranty and when I declined the warranty, he became more aggressive saying that the unit I ordered was from Taiwan and therefore did not come with a Garmin warranty, I still declined. He then suggested he could send me a North American unit for just $649.00. Hey wait a minute!! None of what he has stated agrees with the information on their site. “Brand New Factory Sealed. USA Warranty”. Sounds fishy doesn’t it. He then reinforced the fact that it had no warranty and I said fine, send it anyway. I kept watching the order status for 2 days, it never changed. On the 25th of October, I called their customer service, who indicated it would take another day to process the order. I called on the 26th, the response was they were on back order but had just received a shipment so it would go out either the 26th or the 27th. Now keep in mind that during this time the status on the WEB page did not change, “Availability: In Stock”. It is getting even more suspect. On the morning of October 27th, I called and was told that it would be shipped that day. At mid afternoon, still no change in the order status on their web site. I called them at 3:30 PM to check again and was informed that it would ship at 5:00 pm and I would get an e-mail confirmation by 6:00 pm. At about 7:30 that evening upon checking my e-mail I had received an order Cancellation from TheNwConnection sent at 3:52 PM. Interestingly that was just a few minutes after I spoke to one of their representatives. No reason given, just cancelled. I called back on Monday October 30th to check to see what happened. I was informed that they were on backorder and they would not get another shipment until sometime in December. However, their web page still says ”Availability: In Stock”
I have spent sometime reading feedback on this company’s practices and they are not favorable. So it would appear that unless you agree to purchase the extended warranty, which by the way puts the unit’s purchase price in line with most other online vendors, you will either get your order cancelled, or not get what you ordered!! You will see the pattern if you read the other posts. And what about my friend who was kind enough to tell me about the “incredible deal”, he bought the extended warranty and received his order. Amazing isn’t it.

My original order was for a camera!
I was offered a camera case(value $49.00), extra battery(value $59.00),a 1gb memory card(value $99.00), and a tripod was mentioned!
I received a camera case(value about $5.00), one(1) battery with the camera...I expected a spare, a 1gb memory card(value $69.00)and no tripod.
I feel i was misinformed of change of order to a 'kit' and of values of additional items.
I expected a small leather bag for the particular Sony camera...not generic fabric shoulderbag as afterward sent after brief complaint with the representative.
In looking at the site catalogue...the memory card could have been 2 gb for less cost than the quoted value of 1gb card. Or a high capacity 1gb card...also less cost.
This was a gift to my wife...I expected the best.
The camera was a great price...the remainder I remain dissatisfied with.
I'll now need to purchase by desire, an additional battery, a small 'quality' bag meant for the camera, and possibly an additional memory duo card.
I was not, and still am not, satisfied with a company's approach to misleading a customer of 'kit' cameras, values, and quality, to create additional sales.
I'm not a complainer. I just retain my opinions and go on... having learned a lesson!
To complain to a representative that seems to have 'attitude' is not my greatest desire!
If contacted by FotoConnection...I prefer to be contacted by a customer care representative... not a 'sales'rep.!
On a 5 scale...2...good prices!
