"Typical bait and switch. Rude customer service (he hung up on me when I didn't want to pay for extra S&H!) Price lowest advertised but it is never available. Always backordered. BEWARE!! Worst I've dealt with in years!"
"A representative called me to "confirm order" on a subwoofer the same day. Wanted me to also pay for a "gold pin cable", then a "service plan", then "shipping insurance", none of which I wanted. Tried to trick me into paying for the insurance without telling me he raised the price. Very rude attitude. Finally, the next day, when I called them to find out about status of my order, the representative hung up on me twice as soon as I gave him details about the order. I am not sure what to do now. Horrible experience."
"I discovered this web site after I had already purchased my Sony DSC-W70 camera. Needless to say, I was paranoid waiting for the camera to come in.
I called them to receive assurance that they were in fact a legitimate organization and I ended up getting the requests to purchase "accessories." I ended up buying an extended warranty and a memory card from them, as they were offered at a good price.
They shipped out the very same day I spoke with them and I received it 4 days later via UPS ground. I must admit, maybe I'm just lucky, but I had no problems whatsoever with them. The product is brand new and I got it at a great price. Based on my experience alone, I would do business with them again.

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. I had the worst experience with their customer service. I ordered a Garmin C530 and the order was under "processed" status for 6 days. I called and talked to some degenerate named Eddie who told me he had left several messages (which he didn't).
The reason why my order was held up was because they wanted to sell me on some extended warranty. When I kept telling him no, he told me condescendingly for me to let him finish his sales pitch.
I should've paid attention to all the bad reviews, but instead I got suckered into the "low" price."
"I should've checked here first! Long story short, I think I got out unscathed (we'll see if they really cancelled it when the credit card bill arrives). It's a true shame that shady, bait-and-switch retailers like this are still in existence and apparently thriving. I'm getting my revenge a click at a time.. those ads on Google are rather costly for the retailer if you keep clicking on 'em :) "
"Rating should be 0, that's ZERO stars! Can't believe these knuckleheads are still in business - should be shut down! Horribly rude customer service, false advertising - could not get a straight answer on what exactly I was trying to order, when I would get it, or how much I would pay for it.
Placed an order for a camera, and when I called to confirm, was told that I had ordered a Chinese model! Website had no indication of different languages - hey idiots, this is America! Don't be surprised that customers want things in ENGLISH!! Worse yet, was told the English model would cost another $100!
Got that worked out, then waited over 3 weeks and still no shipment. Called twice more for status, everyone extremely rude and not helpful, then was told that item was no longer available! Fortunately I was able to cancel order at that point with no charges to my credit card.
I hope everyone at this company reads these reviews - never, EVER do business with these jerks!!!!!"
"I do not have much to add to the thread other than I wish I had researched on resellerratings.com before placing an order with fotoconnection. My story is no different from the others. I held my ground and did not purchase their extended warranty (after being lured with a low price). I called in the next day to check on my order (I paid for overnight delivery) and they told me the item (Garmin c550) had not been 'released from the factory'. In the meantime, the item was still listed 'in stock' on their website and they never told me the item was out of stock when I called to confirm my order (something they require you to do).
STAY AWAY from these scammers."
"This store is horrible. They lure you to purchase items with really low prices. Seems great, but it isn't. Before they would ship the camcorder I ordered they called me to try to give me the hard sell on several accessories that were very overpriced. When I refused the person was very rude and it made me concerned if I would ever get the camcorder I ordered, so I just decided to cancel the order."
"Classic bait-and-switch and up-sell joint. I purchased a Sony DSC-R1 camera for $594. Of course I got the "Please call our office to verify your order" up-sell phone call. "Pete" wanted to sell my extra batteries, memory, etc. When I declined, his response was "Do you want to buy a USA warranty for that?" I told him that it is clearly indicated on their website that the camera comes with a USA warranty. He said that no one would sell me a $900 camera for $600 with a USA warranty, that this camera is an import. I told Pete to cancel my order."
"FRAUD ALERT: I called to confirm item was in stock, placed an order, it never arrived, and when I called to followup they said it was suddenly backordered. Although they claimed it would arrive at their store the following week, I cancelled the order immediately. "
"Update: 9/29/2006
I think they are running credit card fraud as well. My credit card got charged for $600 more by some web site that traced back to them. I ordered from them 3 weeks back. Lucky that I had zero liability on my card. Whatever prices they offer, just stay away from these guys.
-------------------------------------------------
I think I got lucky in the end though. I was shopping for Sony DSC R1 on net and stumbled upon this website which had it for a low rate. Usually I am very careful about where I order from, but as it goes, I ordered without checking anything out. I ordered around 4 PM EST on Sunday and within 30 mins of ordering, I got a call from company in order to confirm the order. At that point, I knew nothing of this Bait and Switch operation, so I confirmed with them the order. The Saleperson then tried to sell memory and extnd warranty, which I needed though and got at a much cheaper price.
Then I saw the reviews at ResellerRatings and was horrified. I called up my credit card and had put a watch on the charge. But then it went absolutely amazing. I got the tracking number immediately, and the camera within 2 days of ordering. It was a new piece with US warranty and my extended warranty and the CF card also. Cant imagine what would have happened if everything went awry..."
"Ordered 32" Samusung LCD on 091006. Received email to call to confirm. Called to confirm - placed on hold for over 20 minutes to talk to "Eddie". Talked with two others periodically, who placed me on hold for "Eddie" again and again. I finally hung up and sent them an email to cancel the order. "Eddie" called later in evening to try to sell extended warranty or cables. He was very rude (just like the stereotypical New Yorker). When determined I was not interested, he stated the model I ordered was Foreign and everything was in Chinese (the specs clearly stated everything was in English, French and Spanish). "Eddie" stated the cost for the English version was $200.00 higher than the "Foreign" model.
I TOLD THE CROOK TO CANCEL THE ORDER. TODAY, 091206, THE SITE STILL REFLECTS PROCESSING.
MANY OF THE "STORES" RUN THIS SAME "BAIT AND SWITCH" SCAM. SURE WOULD BE GREAT IS LEGAL ACTION WAS TAKEN AGAINST THEM OR GOOGLE FOR LISTING THEM!!!"
"My experience so far parallels everyone elses; internet search results in a great price, call to confirm then try to avoid the product and shipping upgrades (which I did). My problem now is getting delivery! Despite repeated phone calls and promises to e-mail a tracking number I've yet to get a camera or any idea of when it'll ship. So far I've waited over 3 weeks and am to afraid to open another can of worms... demanding a refund.
Update: After a month of run-around I cancelled the order, ended up calling the credit card company (they never cancelled the charge), and lodged a complaint with the NYS Attorney General. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!"
"Like everyone else, I didn't read the reviews before ordering from this company. Like everyone else, I was asked to "verify" the order by calling them back. And like veryone else, what I got was Joey Buttafuoco trying to sell me an extended warranty: "So you would prefer to gamble, Mike?" He also tried to sell me a wall mount, which I already had: "Yours won't work with this TV" (yeah right). It was just like those infamous Brooklyn camera stores of 20+ years ago.
But then it got better. I had ordered on the web at about 4pm EST; even with the verification call, the LCD flat panel was shipped the same day, and arrived two days later (Chicago area). It was the genuine article in an unopened box and works fine. I saved $100 (~10%) over the next-higher price on Froogle. And that part of the story is also like those old Brooklyn camera stores: if you stood your ground and didn't let them scam you, you often got a very good deal, which is why people bought from those stores. Just cut 'em off when they try their pitch and make clear you don't want your time wasted. They're not very good at scamming anyway."
"I should have read the feedback about this company. I have never deal with such unprofessionals. First the advertising was misleading. They sent me the wrong camera and gave me a hard time about correcting the problem. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. It is not cheaper in the long run. Needs to be kicked off of Froogle."
