"Price of the Canon camera was exceptionally lower than what I found otherwise. Salesman was not informative, almost seemed to go out of way to be vague. Seemed to take a while before they shipped out, but once that was done, everything was fine. Camera is great."

"I had a very negative experience when buying my camera from your store.

When buying the camera DCR SR100 Super Package $990.00 from your sales rep Victor He told me that if I upgraded to glass lenses for $99.00 he would insure that my merchandise would go out that day and he would have me a tracking # the next day. Two days later I called and he said that the package had not gone out and he would give me a $20.00 discount on the next item I bought. I asked him to take the 20.00 and send my item overnight and he refused that request.


When my merchandise finally arrived and I opened the package it was missing the six-hour battery that is included in the DCR SR100 Super Package. After talking to Rodney and sending E-mails for the next two days saying I wouldn’t send back the
merchandise I bought he would send the missing item (6 hour battery) I had already purchased and paid for. I don’t understand that. It was your error for not sendinig me the Super package

"I have sent an email, but would like to continue. I am happy with the product, happy with the conversation of the sales manager, but not to happy for several reasons. Sales person tried to convince me that the problem was my problem. He would not accept my logic. Secondly, I was quoted a total price of $581.00 on the telephone, and when the camera and invoice arrived, the bill was $634.98. On the invoice, a Rebate section was checked. When I contacted FotoConnection by telephone, I was asked to claim the rebate. In my initial purchase, nothing was mentioned about a rebate. I'm not concerned with a rebate, I only wanted my card to be charged for the amount quoted. I want to be considered as a "Valued Customer," but also want to be treated as one.

"DON'T TRUST THEM! Ordered online: total price should have been $95 less than what they charged my credit card. They say it was for their own "special insurance" ($95 on a $700 order)! Contacted UPS and the order was fully insured with them too and UPS's total charge for shipping/insurance/fuel surcharge was half of the regular shipping charge from FotoConnection. IT'S A SCAM - advertise low prices and add charges to your bill and lump it as "Special Package Kit". I should have known better when they make you call to confirm your order that they are going to try to rip you off. No star merchant."

"The website for this company is very clear and easy to navigate. A call to them for more information was handled clearly and professionally. My order was for over $1000. They contacted me to confirm the order which is an extra step that is appreciated from an accuracy and security standpoint. The order was placed on Sunday, shipped on Tuesday, and received on Wednesday. Can't get better than that."

"Most on-line retailers ship in-stock items the next business day after an on-line order is placed. TheNewConnection, on the other hand, waits until they can contact the purchaser by phone, at which time the customer must endure sales pitches for over-priced accessories. Only after this annoying phone conversation is the order filled.

It would be good if TheNewConnection would at least state clearly on their web page that orders will not be shipped until a phone sales pitch has been given. Customers could then weigh TheNewConnection's low price against the delay and time required for the phone call. In my case, I would have chosen to pay the extra 2% for the next higher offer to avoid the hassles.

On the positive side, the camera did arrive two weeks after my order, and was in perfect condition.

"you had the best price on the web, $600 cheaper, thats considerable, plus free shipping, and even after geting the warranty, you were still cheaper than all the others, quick shipping, it arrived a day before schedule, good place to do business, friendly staff, there was evn a problem with the cc billing and they rectified it as quick as possible, and shipped it out promptly "

"I was very nervous about this purchase after reading a lot of the reviews of the seller. So I called and they said they would go ahead and process my order (and then was hung up on). I got it timely and it was the model I ordered. I think it is possibly a refurb unit eventhough it was not advertised as so. It is not surprising considering the low price. I just wish it had been advertised correctly. Also it did not come with the memory card that is supposed to be included. Thankfully I had already ordered a larger card elsewhere. Otherwise I was pleased to get my product and in a timely manner considering some of the reviews I read from other customers. Low expectations=moderate satisfaction."

"That was my worst shoping experience ever.
They send me wrong aftermarket memory stick instead of original one which I ordered.
They called me to verify my shipping address and than I get more expensive camera which i did not ordered, they said I upgraded during our phone converasation - CHEATERS, CHEATERS, CHEATERS.
They send me wrong, cheaper memory stick, they charge me anyway more than expected, i could not return this memory stick without being charged at least 15% for restocking fee.
Once they get your credit card number they will send whatever they want, and is nothing you can do.
I did notify authorities about their fraud activity.
Do not ever try to buy anything from them.

"I called FotoConnection to make sure they had a laptop in stock. They said they did so I ordered it online. I waited 3 days and called to see if the laptop had shipped. They said it did not ship but they would call me back that day with more informaion. I never got a call. I called the next day and they said the laptop was not in stock yet (remember they said it was 4 days previous). They said they oversold the laptop. I told them to cancel the order. I will never do business with them again. Stay away!!"

"FRAUD! I placed an order for a Nikon D80 today, received the confirmation email and got the "confirmation call" three hours later. On the item page (Item number NKD80) was clearly stated that the battery charger would be included but now I should pay an additional 149$ for it. I don't buy from a shop that lies to me so I cancelled the order immediately. Stay away from this shop, you won't make a bargain anyway so save your time and place an order at a trustworthy store in the first place."
