"RUN AWAY FROM THIS SELLER!!!I ordered a cordless 5.8mhz phone. "IN STOCK" on the we site. After you order they inform you 24-72 hours to process your order. after 3 days I called "it will ship tomorrow". After 5 days called and the seller admitted it never shipped. When i would not bait and switch ( $50 dollar item at a $100 price ) they hung up on me. RUN AWAY FROM THIS SELLER!!!"
"I purchased a Samsung 103 for $189 from this company. The next week a I received a Samsung D 353 in the mail and saw that they charged me $248.99. I called them immediately to inquire why they did not send me the camera I ordered. Their response was that they were out of stock and would like to send me a camcorder cleaning Kit ($30 value). I asked them to just credit my card the $30 instead. He said that they would not do that. He told me to just send it back if I didn't want it and they would pay for the shipping. They should because they didn't send the camera I ordered. On September 6, 2005 I mailed the camera to the address given. It took them until October 25 to credit me $209.01. And that was done only after I put a call into American Express to investigate this company. They still owe me the difference of $39.98 plus the $10.49 shipping. This company's customer service really sucks. I recommend you DO NOT trust fotoconnection.com. "
"I checked their rating after I made the order. Big mistake, they exactly as described by others. I ordered an LCD TV, http://www.fotoconnection.com/vi-20578________Syntax-Olevia-LT32HVE-.html. 1st call from them they wanted to sell me bunch of stuff I don't want plus add additional insurance which I refused. Then they said it would not ship for another 5 days. Then they called again (this time some guy name Levi), and I said someone has already contacted me. Levi claims that I purchased a refurbished TV (not so according to their website) and they won't get any refurbished in anytime soon. They obviously did not want to sell at the advertised price. What a waste of my time and how can this place be allowed to stay in business. So this was total BS and cancelled order."
"I placed an order for a Panasonic TH-42PD50U plasma EDTV on October 1st and everything was up and running on October 15th. I was EXTREMELY leary after reading the many negative reviews which is why I feel the need to tell you of my positive experience. I saved over $500 by buying at FotoConnection instead of Best Buy or Circuit City (including their sale prices & sales tax). I was asked, almost non-chalantly, about the extended warranty which I chose NOT to take. I did make 3 phone calls, primarily because of the negative reviews, to expidite shipping and it did take a little longer than stated, although FotoConnection was closed for a few days for the Jewish holidays. It IS a model made for sale in the USA and comes with the Panasonic 1 year warranty. Customer service people were very curtious and helped to get the TV shipped in a somewhat timely manner. Maybe I got lucky, maybe not. Overall experience was terrific."
"Horrible customer service and sales departments. Avoid this seller. You may not get what you pay for. "
"On their website they advertise having the Digital Concept 6" Mini Tripod for $1.99, with picture showing the product you'd find in other stores for $4-5. Seeing this as a good deal, I purchased 10 of them for friends/family. When the box arrived, however, inside I found 10 of the those really cheap "spider-leg" mini tripods, which sell for $1 - $1.50 on eBay. I called them to complain and they INSISTED that I was wrong, that the item they shipped matches what I bought, and that I simply wasn't paying attention when I placed the order. I have PDF printouts of my original online receipt, showing the picture and item description, and beyond that their website STILL shows the wrong product picture & description exactly as it did when I ordered it. They said I could return the tripods if I paid the return shipping AND a 15% restocking fee! I'm currently pursuing the issue through my credit card company since they did not ship me what I paid for.
BE WARNED - Typical "bait & switch" tactics at play here.

"I orded a product from fotoconnection.com and was told the product would be here in 10 days. It has been 15 days and when I call I cannot locate the sales rep. I can't speak to a manager and they couldn't pull my order up to see it was shipped. I kept getting the runaround with them and finally called and said not to send the order because I wasn't going to pay for it. The sales person said, "if we send it you are paying for it." I then told him I was calling my CC company and reporting fraud and disputing the charge. He said, "fine, you aren't going to get it then." Obviously he must have seen that it wasn't shipped yet. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FOTOCONNECTION.COM" they seem mor like a company that orders something from another company and then ships it out and doesn't let you know. I reordered the product from another store and got 2 day shipping for 29.99 as oppossed to 59.00 shipping for standard ground which never arrived.
Stay away from fotoconnection.com, they seem more like a scam than anything else!"
"Well, let's see, it's been about a month since I ordered a simple wall-mount stand for an A/V component, and I have yet to receive it. I called a couple weeks back and the person was a bit friendly and told me it would ship by the end of the week. Now after talking to somebody tonight he promises it will ship tomorrow. Of course the latest guy was quite rude and persistent, so fine, you guys get one more day.
Bottom line is, I figured as long as it was a simple piece of hardware under $50 it wouldn't be a problem - of course I should have listened to these reviews. I will NEVER buy anything from these people ever again. "
"FotoConnection – Ordered an LG LRY-517 Super Multi-Format DVD Recorder/VCR Combo w/Double Layer Recording on September 15, 2005 for $329. Received an email the next day requiring me to call customer service to “confirm” my order. “Charley” was very friendly and convinced me to purchase an extended warranty for $30. He assured me that the item was in stock and would ship soon. On September 29th , I called to find out where my DVD recorder was. “Charley” told me that shipping had screwed up and the item was in stock and would be shipped that day and I should receive an email with a tracking number. About 2 hours later, “Charley” called me back and wanted to see if I would prefer a different item that was similar to what I had ordered but had HD up-conversion. Since I do not have an HD TV and the new item did not have dual layer technology I declined. I was assured that my item was in stock and would ship that day. On Friday September 30th , I checked my email and still did not have a tracking number. I called “Charley” again and now was told that the item was “out of stock” and that they should be receiving a shipment next week and he assured me that it would ship by next Thursday since they would be closed for three days next week to “receive stock”. “Charley” again offered to sell me the recommended item. I refused and told him that his credibility was slipping as his story on my order kept changing. I cancelled the order and ordered the item from B&H for $50 more. FotoConnection seems to practice a bait, switch and delay tactics."
"Absolute worst on line store ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness I found this site because I almost made the mistake of ordering from a sister site (Inoax.com). You may want to also avoid Great Brands Shopping. They are also based in Brooklyn and use the exact same bumper music (and rude people) as Inoax. They are most likely the same company.
Here's what I had to deal with:
1) misrepresentation of product on the website. I wanted a stainless steel microwave (shown on the website and in the product search). But they only stocked black. When I called about returned they said they thought I wanted "black stainless steel"
2) items in stock on website are suddenly out of stock after your order is placed
3) their "10 day" return policy STARTS on the day that they put the order into the warehouse. So if you pay for UPS ground (10-14 days shipping), you're screwed.
4) hold times are at least 45 minutes when you call in
5) they won't send invoices no matter how many times you ask for them. I think they just ask for your fax number so that they can delay you doing something for a few more days.
6) And my favorite, they work from a PO BOX. So you can't return anything via UPS unless they give you a RMA number. But they won't do that because you already violated their 10 day return policy. And since you don't have an invoice and can't return the items to them, you can't dispute it with your credit card company.
The only progress I made through these people in 10+ phone calls over a 10 day period was when I told them that I was filing a dispute with my credit card company. It got their attention but they still wouldn't do anything with it.
I ended up selling the microwave on ebay so was able to cut my losses. I just ordered my new microwave through a dealer I trust.
Believe me, they are suckering you in with a low price that doesn't exist. Avoid these people like the plague."
"After I ordered online, someone called to "verify" the order. He added $30 for insurance which hadn't been mentioned on the web and tried to sell accessories. After a month, I hadn't received the order. Customer service first told me that it had arrived yesterday, then said that it was backordered and would be sent in a few days. Later, someone called and said that it was no longer availabke and would I substitute aother item. Don't know if there will be trouble getting the charge off the card. I will never shop there again.
"
"starting the first day, something was fishy. they had to call to confirm the order, and tried to sell more unnecessary stuff. then my credit card got charged an extra 100 or so for shipping insurance, which was never in paper, just briefly said once during that one phone call. its impossible to talk to the rma dept. once i did, they said the manager wasnt here so they couldn't process my request. worst customer service ever. first and hopefully only time i'll get scammed by the internet. eventually returned the product, but still haven't received the promised credit on the shipping and insurance."
"This is the worst company that I have ever had to deal with in my life! I would NEVER recommend even my worst enemy to go through them. I had nothing but trouble and major problems with them! The employees where so rude I couldn't believe they let them talk to customers the way they do."
"***DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MERCHANT***
NOTE: Fotoconnection.com is also known as inoax.com, 1stopcamera.com, onestopcamera.com.
This company is complete fraud. Terrible customer service, terrible order tracking... everything else is terrible...
I placed an order for an Epson printer, GOT a canon printer. (think I am lucky?)
I have been charged twice the amount of the epson printer. 3 weeks past, and still trying to get my MONEY BACK.
If you want to contact them, please prepare your comfy-chair b/c you will be put hold for about AT LEAST 20-30 mins.
***IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF, AND IF YOU DO NOT WANT ANY TROUBLE IN YOUR LIFE, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS."
"This store practices bait and switch tactics advertising low prices then telephoning customers to charge more than was advertised insurance on shipping etc. When the insurance chargers were declined the the vendor never shipped the item."
