"Fraud Seller - I called to verify the order as requested by this merchant. The salesperson tried to sell expensive accessories. When declined, I was informed the Camcorder was back-ordered and will take more than 6 weeks before the product is shipped. I cancelled my order."

"FRAUD!!!
These stores will typically show up on all the pricing engines as the lowest price. This is their gimmick. These NY based electronics stores are fraudulently advertising their products!!! I went to this retailers website to order a camcorder. It shows the camcorder “In Stock”. I place my order online. I receive a confirmation email from them with the ironic message that they need me to call them to verify the order because of all the fraud they’ve been experiencing. They state in the email that it’s to verify the shipping info and item info. Then comes the hard sell of all the overpriced accessories! Then they try to sell the extended warranty. I politely say “No thank you” to all of the above. Then they say, do you want to buy the US Version of this camcorder, which includes the warranty. Nowhere on their site does it indicate that this is what they call an “International version” of the product. William at extension 276 even said that they were an authorized Sony Dealer. I checked with Sony and they weren’t!!! So, he tried to eventually sell me the “US Version” for $600. more than what they advertise. What a SCAM!!! Stay away from any NY based electronics stores! Don’t even try your luck because you’ll be out of a lot of money and time!

"They advertize on Pricescan.com as being 625.00 the lowest proice for the camera but they do not ship the camera. when you call they say that was the "international Model" and they only have the US model in stock and that one is the same price as all the rest of the stores selling the camera which is 999.00 total bait and switch scam and decieptful business practices"

"I hope I could read the review of FotoConnection on this website before I did business with them. They are AWFUL. I ordered a camera from their website for only about $645. Their sales called me and persuaded me to buy more. I was crazy enough to buy a 5-year warranty plus a battery from him. And then he told me the camera I order is "body only". If I want to switch to "with lens", the final total will be $1150. Yes, I was stupid enough to make the order. And then after 2 weeks (yes, 2 weeks) my order finally come. It was "BODY ONLY". After a lot of unpleasant argument and waiting, I finally get to send the camera back to exchange the one with lens with $50 more charge. I called them many times afterwards because I didn't get the new camera for another 2 weeks. Their customer service just gave me fake tracking numbers and my sales refused to talk to me. At last I was able to ask the manager John to give me the right answer. He said he doesn't know what was going on but the camera didn’t' ship out yet. And then they finally shipped the next day with aGROUND SHIPPING...I didn't get my camera until now....
Conclusion:
1. FotoConnection is rude to customers
2. FotoConnection is dishonest

If you want to lose your money and ruin your everyday mood...do business with them.

"Ok, now I believe all the other negative feedbacks.
They follow the exact sequence
1. Order
2. make a phone call to check
3. ask me to buy more stuff, when I declined they said unit is out of stock.

The worst thing is they are very rude to you.
I would rather pay more to get a store respect its customer. Besides, their list low price might cost you more at the end.

"Price listed on web site was price after rebate, but this was not clearly stated anywhere. Company was also unable to confirm their relationship with the manufacturer to qualify for rebate payment, and they wanted to charge an extra $100 for shipping beyond what was stated. When questioned on these issues they got increasingly rude until I finally cancelled the order. "

" Same story here .I have ordered sony DSC-P72, their price was the best on internet .Confirmation mail came a minutes later . But 5 days later , I got call from them .They were asking for credit card security code, adress confirmation....and then tried to sell me aditional memory . Then , batteries and charger .That is the moment when I become suspicious ,sony has included charger and 2 NiMh batteries with camera. But, then I got explanation that camera is brand new with no warranty, no accessories no returns...And I can get all that but have to pay.....information on their site was wrong,sory....Eventualy I canceled the order...AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY. THEY JUST PUT LOWEST PRICE SO THE INTERNET PRICE RESEARSCH LISTS THEM ON TOP....."

"Avoid this bait and switch reseller like the plague!!! They sell gray market items which is not mentioned in the adds. The internet page states 1 year warrenty, but one of their sales clowns calls to inform you the camera comes with no warrenty, it is "foreign", and the manual is written in Japanese. He also goes on to tell you the battery is no good and trys to sell you a different battery. The "american" item is about $200 over advertised price. I eventually canceled my order. This complaint sounds very similar to another commenter and sounds like their usual M.O. My camera is a Nikon D 70 which is apparently is on back order everywhere. They indicated they would send it 2 day shipping only to find out that they are on back order as well. I'm considering contacting the Attorneys General office to report internet fraud. "

"not impressed, very much like most of the other camera stores that offer "so-called" good deals. These guys had a Canon zr-80 for $299, of course when it doesnt ship and you them, they insist you take out the extended warrenty and then advise the cheapest they can sell it for is $349. I would stay away from them. I cancelled and paid the extra from reputable dealer."

"Ugh. Avoid this seller. They apparently slapped up a commodity storefront and are a couple guys working from a back office. Which wouldn't be so bad, were they a couple of efficient guys - but they have terrible communication, both customer and internal:

I ordered a camera for a decent price on Friday Feb. 20th. I had it shipped 2nd day air, so I figured it wouldn't go out until monday, and I'd receive it wednesday, which was when I needed it. They immediately sent an automated email saying my order was being processed. No further communication, I emailed wednesday night to cancel my order (it was clearly too late). Hearing nothing Thursday, I called to make sure the cancellation went through. Put on hold for 15 minutes, then "please hold," and another 5 minutes, and finally... They said I should have checked the website for policies (none of the policy links work, nor "about us", nor anything other than product links). But they said they would cancel it. The next day, they charged my card and sent the camera out 2nd day air. So I received it a week and a half after ordering, *after* canceling the order, when I originally ordered it 2nd day air! If I hadn't already wasted so much time, I'd send it back and refuse the charge, but I'm going to have to settle for writing a bad review of them.

Thier customer sevrvice is the worst I've ever seen and they try to sell you everything but what you want to buy. And they advertise and say it's in stock and it's not.
