"A terrible experience. I ordered some sunglasses and paid via PayPal. I was called the next day and told that FramesDirect did not have these sunglasses and that they were cancelling my order. The order remained on my PayPal account. I contacted FramesDirect to get the order removed, a Sarah S responded that they would. A week later it still hasn't been done. I am now pursuing a dispute with PayPal."

"Update: Framesdirect contacted me and made everything right. They replaced my sunglasses with a new pair. Maybe they were just having a bad week.

So far my experience with FramesDirect has been less than ideal. After receiving my prescription sunglasses in the mail, I opened the box to find them broken. I immediately filled out a return form, asked about return postage, received no response, and then shipped them back at my own expense.

A week and a half after FramesDirect receiving the return, I didn't hear anything from them so I emailed them. I got a response that they were investigating my claim with the manufacturer but it didn't look like the manufacturer would take responsibility for the broken frames. I immediately called them asking what was going on and the CS rep told me that it looked like I had broken the frames so there was little that could be done. I explained that they were broken when I opened them, sent her the emails that I had already sent so she could see the dates and times (to show that I had not broken them from use), and was told that she would have her Operations Manager review everything. I was also told that I should expect a call the next day with their decision.

I waited a few days with no response so I called again. I was told that a few people had reviewed my claim and were undecided. I asked for the number of the person making the decision and was given the extension to an Operations Manager. I called him and left a message.

I got a call the next day that since the package wasn't damaged during shipping that it looks like I had broken the sunglasses and there was nothing I could do but buy another pair. I explained again that I had not broken anything and that the sunglasses must have been broken during packaging. He said that he would review the video footage of them being packaged and see if anything had happened and call me back the next day.

It's now been a week with no response and I even called him two days ago and left a message. The customer service here has been very poor so far. I don't appreciate being indirectly called a liar and being told that I will get a response from someone and then having to follow up myself. It's been three weeks already with no resolution and i don't expect this to end favorably based on previous experiences. I understand wanting to avoid fraudulent claims from people who get glasses, break them, and then try and get a refund, but I filed a return right after receiving the package. If this was Amazon, Zappos, or any other number of retailers who care about their customers, I wouldn't be writing this review. Losing all my downstream business over $100 frames seems really dumb.

"They have a large selection of glasses,so you can pretty much find your brand and style.Checkingout was also very easy,but the most important thing I liked about them was their customer service.They actually call you at the number you provided to keep you informed or answer any questions you might've asked in the comment section.I will definetly recommend them to my friends and I'm very pleased with their product and customer service"

"This is one of the easiest survey for me because I am so well pleased with the services of FramesDirect.com. I ordered a pair of prescription eyeglasses even though I was worried with questions like; will it fit? will I be able to see clearly? did I make a right decision? The answer to all the above is a million times yes. I received my product, they are very clear and properly fitted,. not to mention the discount I received Without any doubt this is the best pair of glasses I have ever owned. I have already started to spread the word to family and friends. Thank you Alma and staff at Frames Direct. You have outdone yourselves and added new meaning to the words customer service. In this day and time I use one word to describe the level of service - "UNBELIEVABLE""

"I was very pleased with FramesDirect.com. I will certainly use them again. I have already recommended them to several of my friends. I ordered my frames on a Friday and on Monday I received a call from a customer service rep thanking me for my order and explaining when I should receive my frames. I especially liked this service, it made me feel like a valued customer. When my frames arrived I LOVED them."

While that is not ideal, I cannot say enough about the very personal and transparent support I have received with regard to my order and its status. "FramesDirect.com has always been a great site to order from. The customer service is top notch and they are always willing to help you find the right frames. The only feedback I have for them is to better monitor what items they have in stock or access to. Twice I have ordered and the items were on back order, one for as long as two months. The most recent item was intended to be a birthday gift for a loved one only to find out that We'd have to wait three weeks from the order date to receive it despite having paid for overnight shipping which they did not offer to change. The staff was prompt to inform me, but the item had been selected by the loved one. I will buy from them again, but please work on that. "
