"My family and I enjoy shopping from Frames Direct. I have always purchased my family frames from here but, this was the first time I purchased frames with the presciption included. I have to say that the price that I paid Frames Direct and what I pay the other retailer was a huge saving. I would refer anyone that needs glasses to Frames Direct. "Espero que me acepten mi comentario en español. Esta muy bien en cuestión de la compra, es una empresa muy seria, y volveré a comprar productos con ustedes. Solo que hay un pequeño detalle no es con la empresa en si, sino con la paquetería encargada de entregar los productos, me tardaron mas de tres semanas para que me llegara lo que había comprado, eso si estuvo mal, y hasta que envíe un correo tomaron cartas en el asunto, debería de poner cuidado en ese detalle, por lo demás excelente..."

"Overall result was ‘okay to good’ – good price, and service was okay, but ended up with wrong size of temple (even after a phone call) and online selection/ordering process seems too long.

Site emphasis is on price and fashion, for single vision prescription. As a progressive lens user, this is the reason we ordered the lenses locally.

Site needs to add quality feature description on frames: how long the finish will last, how good is the finish, how durable are he frames to everyday use and adjustment, will frames stand up to hard use.

Site needs to have added emphasis on frame suitability to: the prescription, especially for progressives, and on the fit to how the glasses will be used (computer, sports, driving, etc)

Pictures need an enlargement feature of the frame pictures to be larger, in HD, and from different angles.

Need video, or even better pictured descriptions, on actually how to measure temple length, especially for frames that are different like Silhouette. Train staff on how to explain to customers.

Site needs better search features to select on type of prescription, usage, durability, quality, suitability to person

Site needs faster searching and online ordering process – overall seemed to take too long.

"Frames Direct was very good. Although the order was back ordered and it took a while once the frames arrived they got them to the lab immediately and shipped them overnight free of charge, arriving when promised. And i saved over $300 off retail price. Very happy! Would strongly recommend."

"I was hoping that all of the reviews of poor customer service, back ordered products, and extremely long processing times were not the norm, but I was wrong. Frames Direct has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. While I can get in contact with them, the information they have provided to me about my glasses has been 100% wrong.

I purposefully ordered my glasses 2 weeks early to ensure I had them for a trip this upcoming weekend. I ordered my frames on 4/26/2012 with overnight expedited shipping, and because the frames I was purchasing were on "backorder" I was told that it would take 3 - 4 days. A full week later my order was still processing, and I contacted customer service. It took them nearly 48 hours to respond, and when they did they said my glasses were "in the lab" and would ship out by EOD or the next morning. Now, 4 days later, with my order still in processing and slated to ship THIS thursday, I will not have the glasses I made sure to order weeks early with overnight delivery.

I will never recommend Frames Direct to anyone because of poor customer service communication, misinformation provided to the customer, and HORRIBLE lengthy and inaccurately measured delivery times.

edit: Finally spoke with my original CSR and my frames were slated to ship between "Wednesday and Thursday" of this week. After letting them know I would need to cancel my order in the next business day unless my frames shipped, I received a shipping notice an hour later that my order had shipped.

BUYER BEWARE: Fantastic prices, unresponsive and slow customer service and terrible shipping. Be prepared to contact the seller and have to wait much longer than anticipated for your order. This review will be updated if I receive my frames in poor condition.

"Emailed asking if a frame was in stock in two colors, emailed today from Chantel saying both colors were in stock. Placed order only to have someone else call saying discontinued. Not happy at all as Chantel lied right to my face."
