"Have bought from a few different gamestop stores and have been very satisfied. First time buying online and couldnt be more unhappy. As previously stated by other consumers, they take their time shipping orders (possibly to cover up the lack of having the product without telling the consumer). I preordered Battlefield 3, 4 days prior to release date. After checking status online a couple days after the release date, my order still hadn't shipped. I became annoyed and called customer service after they didn't respond to my email req. The customer serviced rep gave me some excuse that it takes them up to 2 weeks to confirm credit card orders with the credit card issuer and that since I called, they would release my order within 24 hours. Complete BS if you ask me. I asked if this was standard practice for them and the rep said yes. I replied with "I will never order from you again, thanks for the heads up and have a great day". Buy from Target or Walmart as they offer BOGO sales as well."
"I used to shop at Gamestop at least once a week for about 8 years since I discovered them. What can I say?! I got morbidly obese because of THEM and video games in general! I decided to put a stop to my OCD video gaming and get a life about 2 weeks ago. So far, I lost 30 pounds and I am taking better care of myself in general. But enough about that, I will NEVER EVER shop at a gamestop EVER AGAIN. Why? Because they rip you off! They tamper with the factory sealed games they get; and they sell them as "NEW" I was trying to sell every current video game and game system I had for cash, NOT store credit. The two guys working there were being total ####s about giving cash, and I was getting about 300 bucks for this. First off, they said if I took store credit; I would've had 600 bucks, I refused store credit and he laughs me off, like I'm being "unreasonable" to myself, yeah right!! I will never shop here, nor game again, but for all the gamers out there, be warned, THEY WILL BE TOTAL @#$@#'S ABOUT GIVING CASH FOR TRADE INS! AND THEY WILL ACT AS IF YOU ARE ROBBING THEM! THEY MAY EVEN CALL THE COPS ON YOU!! The workers at these stores all act like school bullies, (Only adult-sized). I've been at two locations, and the attitude is all the same. NEVER SHOP HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!! My personal game addiction is gone and I will never buy another game, or shop at gamestop as long as I live!

"i have been a customer of gamestop since 2003 2004 have usally had good things to say about them but my last few visits make me seem to believe that the employees are no longer there to help the customer. I went to turn in a used 360 game the game was scarch free when i lfet my household i get to the store and the kid pulls it outta the case and looks at it for about 1 sec and then goes we cant take this because it had a crack in it this has happen to me two times in the past month. i looked at them my selfs no soon them 10min before there took them out and nothing was there do not shop here they dont give a dam about customers the address of the store is 2233 Telegraph Rd

"Well...look at the history of their reviews on Resellerratings and you should have an idea. Bought 2 sharpshooter and a charging station for my PS3 last week and received them today - but only the sharpshooters and NO charging station included!!! The receipt in the box says "3 pcs", which I guess means 3 items were packaged. When I called, they insisted there is ZERO human error at their facility and that it's either because 1.) I falsely report the missing item or 2.) UPS guy opened the box and took it!!! I told them the packaging tape looks continuous and doesn't look like it has been tampered. I even told the Gamestope representative that the packaging box is obvious that it can NOT hold any more item besides the two Sharpshooter boxes by the apparent size of it, but our smart buddy at Gamestop still insist it's could never be their fault and it's on UPS or me. I mean, c'mon!!! I know you don't care your online reviews and stuff, but this is such an obvious RIP OFF!!! Now that I have to go through this and wait to see if they can get it resolved with UPS....My friends are coming over this weekend to play the PS3 shooting games with me, and here I am having to wait for them another 10 days or so.

"So I pre-ordered my copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution (X360) in April along with Battlefield 3, I picked the fastest shipping fees. Today, I still don't have my copy of the game and it was supposed to be sent over the next day of 23 August. What the hell ? My previous orders were OK, but this one really bugs me ; no Tracking number and I can't even access my Order History tab. I only have the order number but I guess that won't be sufficient for them. They told me to check the Order History even if I told them it wasn't available."

"First bad Online experience for me. They had a special for refurbished Wii, never got passed the 'Verifying' Status after 3 weeks. They didn't even responded to question emails regading the issue. Had to cancel the order. They realy don't deliver what they say they would. Will never buy again from this site. "This is the second time i have ordered from gamestop online and am very disappointed. Both times the item was "shipped" over 24 hours after the order was placed, I ordered this one Sunday they claim it shipped Tuesday and the tracking number they gave me USPS has no record of. This is exactly how it was last time. They claimed to ship it, sent me a tracking number and didnt actually ship the item for another couple days.
Shipping itself takes a couple days its just stupid that it takes 3-5 before they actually ship it and claim to ship it when they clearly have not.
Its like they think their customers are too stupid to check a postmark date."

Then you look at the game on the shelf. Hmmm the game you just turned in is over 20$ pre-owned. The other day, I bought Left 4 Dead 2 (LOVE IT!) and I played it for a day. Next day, WOULD NOT WORK! "I bought a ps3 off them and it the video card or whatever was busted. I sent it back happy with the how easy everything was. Then they company went a head and charged my card for new play station. And E-mail stated they would refund before they do this. There is no refund credited on my account. The company committed fraud. I was not aware they were going to do this and I was informed by my bank that it was happening. Which of course, caused them to cancel my card numbers. "

I ordered a pc game from game stop as the price was so cheap in comparison to titles in the Uk. Even with postage and customs the deal was excellent. I waited 2 weeks and had no emails regarding shipping. Recontacted GameStop and was told I had to fax a statement of my credit card account to them before they would process the deal.
Now as I was not born yesterday I sent another email explaining that I was unhappy to fax any statements on an unsecured line giving bank account details etc. And that simply contacting the credit card supplier would verify the legitimacy of the card. I was also protected under the card suppliers on line anti fraud protection. If that was no good I was happy to pay via something like Paypal.
Then another email came asking again for a faxed statement.How do these people ever do business. You should never ever send bank details to people if you have no control over where that Information goes. I believe this was simply a situation that there was no stock and they wanted to see how far they would push it. I have now cancelled my order.
Do not waste your time with these sellers."
