"THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!
BEWARNED!!!!

I was basically buying a new pc, and i wanted to buy all the components from gameve but they didnt have everything. However i bought a case with powersupply, msi motherboard, msi geforce 4, 512 corsiar 2700 stick. For one, they screwed up the shipping, and took about 3 days just to process the order, etc. The day I was emailed with a fedex number, I had recieved the pakages I had ordered from other companies (jazz and monarche). A week and a half later, I get my game ve pakage, however, it was short my geforce4. So after 4 days of arguing and phone calls, gameve figures out it screwed up, and now almost three weeks later, i get my geforce (meanwhile by the time they sent it, the price on thier website for the geforce had dropped 22 bucks, although they didnt offer any rebate...). So finaly I put my pc together, and I figure out the ram they sent is bad. Now the past two days ive been dealing with thier RMA junk, which yesturday did not work, and after several phone calls no reply or help.

I WOULD STRONGLY SUDGEST NOT ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

"I ordered an MSI 4400 Graphics card and a Raidmax aluminum case. I called them tuesday because I had an email that said my credit card was on decline. I called them up and they said that it had to do with my credit card company.

So I call my credit card company and they say that the experiration date was entered wrong. I call gameVE again and they fix it.

Unfortunately, they didn't have the msi 4400 graphics card in stock as mentioned earlier, so I didn't buy it.

But, the neat case came in time. I haven't checked if it works yet but it looks pretty sweet.

Well, I would buy from them again but I would check up on my order because the process is slow.

"AOpen video card doesn't come as manufacture sealed and miss DVI & 15-pin cable connectors. I contacted Lawrence Lu and got respond that cables are not include. However, I contacted AOpen and got confirmed that all cables should be in there. For those of you who need to complain about this company, you can go to www.bbb.org to file a complain."

"This is easily the worst service i have ever encountered while ordering electronics. Firstly, it has taken over 5 days just to PROCESS my order. Secondly, they charged my credit card the next day, which is all fine and good, except that my product hadnt even shipped yet. And lastly, my order was out of stock, they seem to have forgotten to inform me before charging my credit card. And one more thing, after telling me they were going to send me an email to supply support for my service, they never did, and i had to call back again to see what the deal was.

Worst ordering service I've ever had to deal with in my entire life, stray away from them unless you actually like mind numbing waits and incompetent service.

"We actually custom build computers for people, we sell them on ebay, and off our website (www.amdcomputers.org), we have been doing this for almost a year. We have had MANY positive experiences from Gameve. They have been quick to ship, and easy to reach.

ANd I just like to say, that we have ordered from at least 30 different companies via advertising sites like pricegrabber and others and almost all of them make a mistake now and then, as do we. We usually use the three times rule. If they screw up more than three times we dont go back, but in the meantime --Be patient and understanding, it will get you further in life :)

"All the other comments here for GameVE have matched my experiences exactly. Bought an item on 9/1/02, credit card charged on 9/2/02, item shipped out on 9/9/02! Package is still in the mail, probably won't get it until 9/13/02. Taking 13 days to deliver is unacceptable. When I called about the order I was repeatedly told that it was shipped out that day, which was untrue. They are liars, and I will not deal with them again."

"Ad says "usaually ships in 24-48 hrs" I ordered this on Wednesday.
They charged my card $536 on Thurs.Almost all companies don't charge your card til they ship.!
Other companies I ordered from on
wednesday ALL shipped on Thurs. I called these guys on Thurs and was promised that it would be shipped no later than Fri. Well, it wasn't.
They LIED to me. The only thing fast about these people is how soon they charge your credit card.
All items I ordered from other companies are arriving tomorrow and these people haven't even shipped or answered my email.
First and last time Jamstan Computers does business with them!

"Ordered a geforce4 video card on Wensday the 4th. It is now monday the 9th and no card.I called and they said I should have it by wensday. They advertise 2 day shipping with Fed X. If Im not wrong it will be 9 days.Too good to be true.I hope the card works better than their shipping department./////Well I received the video card on thursday the 12th. I installed it and it made both mine and my sons computer lock up. It would not even make it through a low resolution bench mark test. I emailed the company on friday and they said they would email me a return # within 24 hours which was needed in order to make an exchange.I called on monday and the guy on the other end said I would have the return # by the end of the day on monday.Well no number on monday or tuesday.I called again today (wensday). I was put on hold for about 5 minutes. Then a guy got on and said the return # was sent out.I went to check my email and they sent it out while I was on hold for the five minutes I was on the phone.It is now the 26th, 22 days since I ordered the card.I will post again when I receive a replacement card. So far I have not one good thing to say about this company. I understand it not being their fault for the faulty card but there customer service needs help.This kind of stuff just makes me want to go the the local computer store and buy it there."

"I made an online purchase on 9/3, my card was charged on 9/4, yet to receive shipping information by end of business on 9/5 so I wrote an email. Received response saying that it was shipping that afternoon. (9/5 or 9/6?) No information by end of business 9/6, so I write anohter email and call. Person on the phone says that the package was already picked up by FedEx, and it takes some time for the computer to update to show shipping. Well, now it's Monday (9/9). No shipping information. I received a response to my email from Friday saying that they were sorry for the problem, my package was sitting there and they had no idea why it hadn't been picked up. Strange how it got back into their shop off the fedex truck that already had it. The guy on the phone Friday said he actually had tracking info on HIS screen. Another email sent, and no answer on their phone. We'll see how this ends up.

----UPDATE----
Still word from anyone at GameVE, but religous checking of the website shows that my package is DELVIERED! Woohoo! But when I check the FedEx tracking number, it shows as being picked up, but its still in their sorting center. A quick phone call to FedEx shows that the package is scheduled to deliver on Wed. I guess thats not too bad. I'll post soon how it turns out.

"Saw not sogood reviews, and stayed on top of company, they responded very well. I called twice, was answered promptly, and helped each time. Shipment was same day they processed order, due to holiday. Overall, they performed at the top level of an online retailer. I would also like to say they had the lowest price on a Radeon Pro 9000 card via Pricewatch.com, and an internet search. They provided the OEM version, which is a CD, S video cable and the card, but they also stated up fron it was OEM. So far, I was very happy with their service and delivery."

"We might still have success in the end if Lawrence is to be believed, but to this point this is without a doubt the worst Internet hardware purchasing experience I have had in over seven years of business. My order still shows as "In Process," even though on the phone 9/6 I was told that the Albatron GeForce4 TI 4400 was out of stock. They failed to notify me, they responded to an e-mail inquiry on the 4th by telling me that the order was being shipped that afternoon, and they charged my credit card on the 4th even though no product was shipped. I have no problem with something being out-of-stock; they just need to let the customer know, and they need to NEVER charge a card until product actually goes out the door. That's standard business practice. I agreed to pay extra to upgrade to the TI 4600, which Lawrence assured me would be shipped same day. The website still references the now dead TI 4400 order, and there is no new activity on my card yet. We'll see what happens. At this point, I have to give a big thumbs-down, don't buy from them. Saving a couple of bucks isn't worth it. Go with a more "name" vendor.

***Update 9/9/2002***
In fairness, I want to complete the story. I just called and they told me that the product HAD shipped on Friday and that they'd e-mail me tracking info (don't know why they seem to dislike giving this info over the phone). Anyhow, about 15 min. later a message did come through, and it looks like a package is on the way. As long as (1) it's the right product, (2) my card gets charged the right amt., and (3) it's not damaged, my final satisfaction will be okay. I still say they should move quicker and communicate updates without being hassled, but the end result counts.

***Update 9/11/2002***
Just wanted to note that I got my TI 4600 today from FedEx, so everything has worked out. The new Albatron box even includes a couple of things, like a DVI-VGA converter, that I didn't expect. GameVE is slow, but in the end they did me right.
