"I placed an order for a video card on Sunday 1-5-03. My credit card was charged on 1-7-03 for the amount of purchase. No tracking number has been issued and the status of the order states "in process".
To charge my credit card for the item and not ship is unacceptable.
An email sent last Friday 1-10-03 requesting info on the order has not been answered.
I have just 1-13-03 sent in a cancel order email and we'll see how long it takes to get a credit issued to my credit card.
Very poor business pratices.
Sometimes you can pay too little for something. "
"I bought an OEM GF4 MX420 from GameVE last year. I had entered 1 digit incorrectly in my credit card # and was promptly called the next morning. The correct number was given and I received the tracking # right there and then. The card got to my house in 4-5 days via UPS Ground, no problems whatsoever."
"I got good news and bad news , which do you want first? Ok the good news first, the product I ordered was exactly as descibed , packaged very well and it arrived in a promptly manner.
Now for the bad news, I email them several question about the product and order status , they even have an email setup just for this however not a single email I sent to them got a reply, I am talking about 5+ emails.
Calling them proved to be more effective but then I was let down by the unproffessional way they handled the phone...they seem kind of flaky. (not that I am not a total flake myself but I am not the reseller am I?)
They told me on the phone that the item would ship on the 6th, well it did not ship until the 7th.
Anyways everything worked out Ok and I probably would buy from them again because on some items their prices are the lowest but I am not very confident the same results would be gotten every time I place an order.
So there you have it.
Good prices and product but no service...in other words they are about 1/3 of the way there.

"I ordered an ASUS A7N8X DELUXE motherboard with GameVE on 12/31/02. I received email about my order right away, however i did not receive my tracking # until i emailed them about it, but they were fast at replying the email. my shipping method was UPS Ground which took a while for it to arrive and in comparison with NewEgg.com and NuTrend Computer(i ordered from all 3 on the same day), it did seems to take longer for GameVE to process orders. I recieved my motherboard on Friday 1/10/03 via UPS. I was happy enough to recieved the motherboard before the weekend, but after couple hours of work it seems the motherboard is broken..... -_-
i've just request a RMA for an exchange, so we'll see, wait for my update.
==UPDATE==
so my motherboard was a DOA but GameVE RMAed it and i got it back around 1/26 or so. it worked fine till 5/15/03. The motherboard starts having the EXACT same problem at first(gets power but doesnt post. i tried with other working CPU, RAM and so on). it's not being RMA from the manufactor(ASUS). i suspect the motherboard was a defective board in the first place... since my two other friends got the same motherboard both at the same time but from NewEgg, and they never have any problem with the board. NewEgg had the item for only like ~$10-15 more... but i think next time i'll just buy things from NewEgg or stores that are praised highly, since the postages i had to pay(twice) for RMAs are ~$25+ by themselves... not to mention the time i spent waiting for the motherboard. OPPORTUNITY COSTS!!!"
"I saw they had the ATI Radeon 9500 non-pro video card I was looking for, and at a great price so I ordered on Monday. I started expecting the worst when two days passed (Wednesday) and I had not received my tracking number. I called and tried to cancel my order, but it had already shpped. I got it today (Friday) smart on time, packaged very well and in great shape, at a great price.
I am pleasantly surprised and satisfied with their service!!!"
"AVOID THIS COMPANY. AVOID!!!!
1) If website says it is in stock, don't believe it.
2) Don't bother calling, nobody answers.
3) Don't bother emailing them, nobody replies."
"no problems whatsoever."
"I Ordered what was said to be a 9700 Pro video card. It turned out to be a PowerColor 9700 Pro lite with memory clockings of 297/263. I talked to PowerColor about this card and they told me to return it and get my money back. I talked to John at GameVe and he assured me I would get a complete refund on this piece of scrap they advertised as a Pro card. I finally got my refund today and they deducted their 15% restocking fee + the $6 for Fedex free shipping. WHAT A RIP!! Never deal with these people at all or you will get ripped but good!! Just look down through their ratings and see how many people they did this too. The people at PowerColor said they have no idea where GameVe even got these cards, It wasn't from them.."
"Bought a 9700 Pro card (Or so I thought). Card that came in was a 9700 with 3.6 ns memory (not the Pro version). Called to return item; wants 15% restocking fee. Will not buy from again. EVER!"
"Ordered DSP-500's on December 28th, had tracking number in my inbox by December 31st. Packing was poor, just the retail product stuffed in a FedEx "large" box shipped by Airborne Express.
Arrive in ok condition on Jan 2nd (actually today since I missed the first delivery attempt), however. No complaints. Good service, despite all the bad reviews I've read. I'd buy from them again if it was a simple purchase such as a headset."
"This was a good transaction. They had the best price, and got it out to me quickly."
"Great job from order to delivery! Ordered AMD 2100+ XP, was able to track shipment and received it day before christmas. Worked like advertised. Will shop here again."
"Bought ASUS A7N8X Deluxe and Cooler master HHC-001, recieved confirmation email next buisness day, tracking number day after that. Recieved package 4 buisness days after order. Overall very satisfied."
"I bought a GeForce4 MX440 from GameVE.com bacause they had a good price, and I had ordered a processor a few weeks earlier and had received the product in time. What was described on their website in text was an Aopen MX440 DDR 128bit. What was pictured was also a DDR card. What I got was an SDR card. Upon calling them, I was told to email them. Upon emailing them I was told to call them. So, I did both again. This time, the guy told me that what was on their site was indeed the SDR card. When in fact, the picture and text were still indicating a DDR card. I told him EXACTLY what my order# was and he said their computer said I got an SDR card. My freakin' invoice has DDR printed right on it. I will never order from them again. And if I am ever in Monterey, I just might drop by to say f*** you to the manager."
"I ordered an OEM Powercolor Radeon 9700 Pro. I recieved the Card, put it in my newly built system. First time I ran a game Artifacts appeared, and the comp froze(for those that don't know, that usually indicates overheating of something) The cpu temp was fine, but the Vid card was overheating. Sent in an RMA request, will update"
