Replacement canopy

"Service and delivery were fine. The quality of the canopy is not nearly as good as the original gazebo canopy. I thought I was purchasing a top quality product made to fit my gazebo perfectly, but it does not meet the quality advertised. It is a bit too small and we are not able to get one of the sides to connect. The material is lightweight and sun comes through. I am concerned this will not last the summer."

"Even called the company to confirm order number for replacement canopy. This is the second one I have purchased and it does not fit the gazebo. With a product costing $140 you would think you would receive a custom fit. Will not purchase from this company in the future. "

"the quality of material used and the workmanship is so bad. the material is full of tiny holes. The sewing is so bad.Areas of the material is caught up in stitching. I am very disappointed in it. I have been buying from Garden Winds for several years. This is so disappointing.I don't know what has happened to the company but I will not be buying from them again unless they can prove a change in their products."

Defective product shipped, but would require giving up the warranty to have the brand new defective product replaced!

"Our canopy came in missing two of the eight elastic loops used to keep it in place on the umbrella, and with the top hole too small to allow the top retainer to pass through it. While I was able to carefully enlarge the hole for the top retainer, I did not feel up to the task of sewing in the missing elastic loops. Without them, the canopy falls out of place each time it is retracted, and I must partially open the umbrella, reposition the canopy in four places, then continue to open it. A couple times I had one of the pockets fall out AGAIN as I was extending it, and I found this too frustrating to let the defect slide. I contacted the seller immediately and notified them, and they offered me a one-time replacement under the one year warranty - implying that if I chose to take them up on the replacement, I would no longer be eligible for a warranty replacement of the product should anything else arise. I don't appreciate their stance on this, as they should have fixed the product and left the warranty intact. I exchanged a couple more e-mails with them regarding this but they remained firm on not replacing the defective product without me giving up my warranty. If this were a $50 item I would just fix it myself and save the trouble, but at $150 I expected a bit more attention to detail. I always say that the values of a company are easily shown when something goes wrong with an order. Many respectable companies will immediately work to make things right for the buyer, but clearly Garden Winds is not one of these companies. Instead, they chose to remain rigid in offering to cash in my only warranty replacement immediately after I purchased the item - all due to their own manufacturing defect. I am still unsure as to exactly how I will end up resolving this, but at this point I am quite dissatisfied with their customer service and I'm tired of arguing with them. As such, I feel compelled to warn other potential buyers of this issue."
