After searching the internet thoroughly, I have come to the conclusion that I was misleadingly under the impression that the phone had a global ROM officially released by the manufacturer. Truth is that the phone was sold with a custom ROM tweaked by the company to fit its international customers, who, therefore, cannot rely on regular OTA updates and are stuck with a phone with an outdated software (except, of course, if they have the expertise knowledge to flash a new ROM themselves and void the phone’s guarantee…).
