I did take advice on the replacement printer - a Brother HL2305W - and bought one immediately only to encounter a connection problem where my iMac seems unable to recognise it and so will not add it to my network set-up. So it's possible I may need help again ... and would ask again for Jason since he now has experience of my set-up and a printer he knows."
