"I am relatively new to Groupon. This was my second order. My first purchase was for an orthopedic pet mattress that was on sale. The price was very attractive, although it was hard to compare, since I couldn't find any info on the manufacturer or seller. Maybe it's me, being new to Groupon. My pet loved it, so i decided to order 2 more, in a different size. The second order was FUBAR. I ordered and paid for two, but only received one. It was a relatively small package in a large bag. There was more than enough room for both items. I called customer service to resolve what appeared to be a simple problem with order fulfillment. This was the worst customer service experience I have had in a long, long time. They seemed to place all the blame on the shipper and tried to deflect my problem by wanting me to delay any further action for several days. It took almost a full hour with the Customer Service Rep and her supervisor to have my choice at either waiting or getting a refund. Needless to say, I took the refund and I also received a $10 coupon for my next purchase. I never could find out how to contact the seller and resolve the issue directly with a make up shipment, which was all I wanted. Since then I have checked the prices on advertised Groupon prices and for actual merchandise, Amazon is very competitive or cheaper. More importantly, their Customer Service is light years ahead of Groupon. I DOUBT VERY MUCH THAT I WILL BE USING GROUPON IN THE FUTURE. IF YOU DO, BE WARY AND CHECK THE PRICES. FOR GOODS AND SERVICES, READ THE FINE PRINT CAREFULLY."
"Usually not a problem, but if a merchant shuts down or in my case dies before you can redeem, it's like pulling teeth to get any kind of credit. It took me 1 live chat and 3 follow up emails before they gave me a refund in the form of "deal bucks" that I had 24 hours to use! Why can't you just credit the account or just leave the money as bucks until I decide when I want to use it again."
"If you are selling a product you should stand behind what you are selling 100%. If something is redeemed and it isn't what was stated that you are selling to the consumer their should be a way to receive a return or even a full credit to purchase something else. It is pretty unfortunate that as big of a company that you are you do not do that. So with that being said since I LOST $129 I will never purchase anything from Groupon again and I will now let everyone know that I talk to about how Groupon takes care of their customers. I may not be able to have everyone I know stop purchasing from you but I am sure that I will be getting a few people to never purchase from you and even more second guessing themselves on their purchase and hopefully that will stop some of my friends from getting ripped off by your company."
"This has been the worst experience of my life. Thinking I was following instructions- I accidentally marked a Groupon as redeemed. I have talked to two separate customer service representatives, who were unable to help me. They said it would take 72 hours to even hear back from someone else who might be able to help me. Unfortunately, in 72 hours I will be out of the city that I bought the Groupon for. I’ve never experienced customer service as poor as this- with the “oh well” attitude. So disappointed and will never be using this site again. And I will tell everyone I know to steer clear as well. "

The customer service doesn’t “listen” to any concerns I’ve had and unwilling to help.... they direct me to contact the merchant and the merchant directs me to contact Groupon back and forth with no resolution!! Groupon states it was marked as “redeemed”, yet the merchant claimed they do not receive money from Groupon if the service was not provided, which it was not... so Groupon has my money or someone is lying! And no one will refund me my $30!! At the very least Groupon could resolve this with the merchant and figure out who needs to refund me. Definitely not there for the customer’s best interest!"
"Over the years I have bought 100's of dollars in concert tickets for my wife, myself, and friends. Yesterday, for the first time, I tried using a Groupon gift card for a ticket purchase. Their location for entering gift card information is a bit obscure in that it is the same box used for the promo codes like (SHOP20) and the like. So I contacted live chat for some assistance. I got a Mr. Subash who told me where to enter the gift card numbers. In the process of conducting the chat, my finger grazed the BUY button accidentally and made the purchase. When I told Mr. Subash what happened and asked if he could help reverse it so I could use the card, he simply wrote, "All sales are final."
I could understand him taking that position if I had purchased the tickets the day before, but it happened while I was talking to him. I feel he could have asked a supervisor if there was a way to make an exception, or even if he had explained that he didn't have that ability but say gave me a link to contact someone else to attempt to resolve my error. But he basically gave me a "Tough ****, you bought 'em." It will definitely make me think twice about purchases in the future with Groupon."
"They make it near impossible to receive a refund for poor service from a business. I’ve lost countless amount of money with Groupon. I will NOT be using them again. "
"The customer service is awful. All they do is respond with form letters, even when you talk to a supervisor and even when the response isn't relevant. No one actually cares or tries to resolve the issue. I spoke to 6 different people and got the same form letter response every time, despite my repeated insistence that the response was not relevant to my issue. No one cared enough to actually put thought into the response. You might think you're getting a deal here, but be warned. You get what you pay for."
"Customer service is terrible. They do not help you but instead continue to drag out my issue. Told me 4 different times I’d receive a refund only to tell me they will not, and it was over 900.00 I spent. Stay away they are not willing to help, they just want your money. I’m out almost a grand and have nothing to show. "

"I went to a service provider according to my voucher and was told I was not a good candidate for the service. The provider told me to inform the company and get a refund for my voucher. I was refused a refund. It's ridiculous that the service provider did the right thing and did not perform a service on me that did not make sense, but somehow Groupon can't do the right thing and provide a refund."
"BOUGHT A COAT THROUGH GROUPON AND HAS A BROKEN ZIPPER. IT HAS TEETH MISSING AND GROUPON WILL NOT REPLACE OR REFUND SINCE IT IS PAST THE 14 DAY RETURN PERIOD. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 3 WEEKS INSTEAD OF 2 AND THEY WILL NOT HONOR IT.
