"Groupon used to have exceptional customer service, and the businesses they picked were top notch. Now their customer service is terrible, and the Groupons take you to some of the sketchiest businesses out there. Really disappointed with them the last few years. "
"Horrible customer support and working with fake/shady merchants all of the time! I have had 3 merchants disappear and have no working number recently and Groupon kept making me trade my Groupon for another one instead of refunding me and then the last 2 that I purchased were just cancelled because the merchant no longer wanted to do business with Groupon anymore. You spend so much time chasing people down to get money back and try to "trade in" stuff that it is not even worth the few dollars you save."

"Chicago vacation- bought a Groupon for a city pass that was supposed to cover various attractions. $270. Followed all the directions, downloaded apps, printed tickets blah blah. NOT ONE place listed would accept the voucher. I then had to pay for the attractions too.
I reached out to Groupon immediately, they gave me the run around for two wks before saying they wouldn’t refund my money. I could of stopped the credit card payment if they hadn’t purposely taken so long.
They wouldn’t let me speak to an actual person, I requested the phone number and was given a link to send a request and someone would call at their convenience!! What a shady company!! I’ve bought several Groupons in the past- one for a scavenger hunt that didn’t even exist in my city!! I was at least able to speak to a live person and the issue was resolved, not now!! They’ve really turned into scammers that have horrible customer service. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau. "
"So I was never refunded my money when a business that was closed still offered groupon and I was a victim To this $60 brake service in charlotte nc . I chose to trade in my money and get the same in groupon bucks I used the bucks and bought good items make up that was just over 35$ I was also used a code and way only supppss to pay 3.84 instead I was charged 22$ and when I chatted in for over 2 hours trying to figure out why I was charged so much I was kept getting hung up on through their chat service the agents were stupid and were no help . When I finally got a call after requesting it I was told it was to late to cancel my order even though it was there fault for over charging me. Thatsessed yo so now I cant get money money back because they messed up and they just want me turn around and give the sh&* back to them. "I have purchased Suburban cleaning in Seattle area and have tried to contact the merchant thru calls, voicemail, and emails. They were never reachable nor reponded. I have contacted groupon explaining this issue and asked for refund. However, Groupon refused to refund that saying they can reach the merchant. This merchant faild at communication. I don't want to deal with this business. Normally, down the road, if you deal with business with poor communication, it's very likely that more frustrating situation could happen.
Then afterwards, I found my group has been redeemed. Oh.......
I contacted groupon chat and explained. They said groupon bucks has been credited instead of refund. What???? Groupon kept my money to serve service and they couldn't deliver it. I spend so much time and got stressed. Think how much we spend our money to feel good and relaxed. I originally purchased items to save some money, but definitely not worth it. I understand that sometimes the merchant are not available as they planned, but Groupon should stand behind it. When they can't deliver what's promised, refund should be process promptly with apologys. There's reason why Amazon thrives. I feel like I have been scammed. One of the worst customer service ever!"
"I have 2 coupons albeit expired, they appear as redeemed in which are NOT. #8597-3997 & 9063-5692.
Conversely I have redeemed all coupons for Omaha Steaks and in my account appear as not redeemed-they have been redeemed- which shows a flaw in their records.
Please fix. I have contacted the Groupon but have not resolved my issue.
Please note the purchase date is estimated as I have forgotten but the expiration date is July 2, 2017 and June 2, 2017 respectively8597-

"I’ve used Groupon for years and have always had a positive experience. Recently I purchased a Zoots dry cleaning deal. But after that Zoots chain filed for bankruptcy , leaving customers unable to use it. All stores were closed.
I contacted customer service and Groupon fully refunded me and I cannot thank them enough!
