"Never ordered from this seller before and was wary because of the low rating. But they had a very intriguing gadget I wanted to try and it was on an internet deal so I gave it a shot for a few dollars.

And was very pleasantly surprised.

1) Website: Easy to navigate, order easy to place and deal site promo code easily accepted.

2) Price for the item was 1/3 of the lowest price I had seen it previously, which is why I bought it. If it turned out to be a dud, at this price it was worth the chance. Fortunately it was just as clever as the promo video.

3) Shipping cost: Very reasonable - cheap actually. Many online merchants stick it to you with shipping, especially for inexpensive items, but not the case here. $2.85 cross country Ground for a half pound or so, promised in 4-9 days.

4) Delivery: USPS postmarked 4 days after order was placed but with a UPS Postal Solutions sticker on the package as well. It arrived from CA to East Coast 3 days later well packed in perfect condition. I'm not sure how they did that given two blizzards and a national holiday in between for a 7 day total delivery time cross country.

That's not a reflection on the vendor of course, but on either UPS, USPS, or both. But surely if the delivery were delayed, the merchant would get blamed.

So my first experience with Hand Held Items was fine and I would be willing to try them again."

"Extremely Slow Shipping...

I live about 19.5 miles from their shipping location or about 25 minutes away and delivery took 11 days or 1/3 of a month to arrive.

Ordered on 02/01/10

7 days later on 02/08/10 I received an email that indicates: "Your order has been updated to the following status: SHIPPED"

3 days after that the post office receives it.

1 day after that I receive it with a different company name on a small piece of paper asking for a good feedback.

It took 11 days to deliver a package to a destination 25 minutes away.

"I purchased Chrome Things iphone case. It came with a free mirror screen protector. You've got to get this! The chrome case with the chrome mirror protector gives the iphone an awesome and classy look. I even use the mirror screen protector for putting on lipstick which is quite handy. I also purchased the black chrome iphone case at a later date, it looks great as well. Only thing about the case is, try not to drop it, it is very brittle and breaks on impact. I bought three of them when I saw them so I'm covered. The mirror protector protects the screen but it gets scratchged in my pocketbook. I got three of those too, so I'm covered. So my order while not significantly large, was still not what I ordered. And the cost of the transaction didn't merit a call into them.

I ordered a plain black baseball cap. The site let me select a 7 3/8" size. My order confirmation states I ordered a 7 3/8" hat but I got a 7 5/8" hat which is of course to big.. such a waste of time...."

"I purched a 17.99 plastic item as a Christmas gift. There was a $10.00 shipping charge. The item was sent in an envelope with no protection and arrived broken. I contacted Hand Held items and was told I would have to send it back at my expense and they would evaluate it. I told them I was not spending any more money in shipping and felt since they charged $10.00 and did not send it in a protective envelope they should just replace it. They never answered back.
