"Slow ship and slow communication. Less than impressed. Placed the order of Friday July 23. Emailed on Monday JUly 26 to change an item that was misrepresented on the website for the item I actually wanted and was told " no " since the order had shipped. I emailed the 3 times asking for a tracking number. Once the tracking number was posted on the website it showed that the order shipped days after my request to change/fit item. Very poor communication and customer service. Think twice."

"I will never order from this company. They sent a radio that did not work,so I followed their return policy and they did not send a refund like I asked. When I tried to contact them by phone they would not return any calls. You have to email them. I sent around 20 emails to get the problem fixed and around the 20th email one of their customer service reps threatened me. So I had to take the problem up with my bank and they were more than happy to help me. Im not sure but I think this company maybe some kind of scam, I have a friend who had the same problem."

"This was not the first time I have dealt with hifisoundconnection.com, and once again it was a very wise decision. My first order I accidentally ordered the incorrect subwoofer and they were able to fix my order for me at no cost before it shipped out. They are very easy to deal with and offer great products at a great price. I plan to buy all of my sound system stuff from them in the future. Highly reccomended!"

You shouldn't personally assure customers that they will be satisfied with a product and then not accept a return if they aren't. To my understanding, the only reason there is a provision that you don't accept returns of subwoofer boxes is because you can't install a sub in a box that's previously been used. Well, the whole reason I even want to return this box is because there is only 1 subwoofer that fits in it. To not allow me to return it is to ignore the intent of the provision. Considering that you could easily install a second sub in the box and sell it at least as scratch & dent, there's no real reason why you can't take it back. Further, if Yensay were to tell me that I wouldn't be satisfied with the subwoofer to begin with, there would be no issue, and I would be a returning customer, even despite having received the wrong component speakers and not being refunded the price difference.

Someone at your business must have the ability to accept this return. Considering that I spent over $700 with you guys, it would be a great way to prove to me that, despite the questionable advice of its employees, your company compensates by providing excellent customer service. However, you have demonstrated the opposite.

When I posted my original review, I asked for a response from someone who can help me, not an empty apology and excuses of why I can't return a product.

"I was highly dissatisfied with the product I received. It was listed as a 6-disc in-dash changer, when the unit was only single disc. Additionally, the listing indicated the unit included climate control knobs, which it did not. The control knobs appeared to be hastily removed, damaging the circuit board near the area. Further, the face plate was HIGHLY scratched and scuffed, beyond the normal wear and tear expected. In the end, I had to switch the face plates from the radio I received and that I was replacing (overcoming the damaged circuit board, lack of climate control knobs, and scratched face plate) to make the product fit my needs. However, had my existing radio not had these parts still in tact, I would have been forced to return the order."

"I ordered over 1100 dollars worth of speakers and amps from hifisoundconnection off of ebay. Everything arrive pretty quickly.

The sets of door speakers, 8" sub, and amplifier were perfect and work great. The 2 15" L7 subs and the box are another story though.

The first box i got with the subs was torn up and had a crushed corner and torn carpet. I contacted hifi and they shipped a replacement. They then had ups pick up the broken box with the subs in it.

I received the second set of subs and everything seemed fine. The box was in great condition and the subs looked great on the surface.

When i plugged in the subs and turned up the volume a little i heard a crunching sound and immediately disconnected them. Then i unmounted one sub from the box and discovered that the magnet was broken and the whole back of the sub was off. I then just plugged up the single other sub and the voice coil or spider seems to be out on it.


Now it has been about a month since i ordered and i contacted hifi to send the second set back as well. Now they have sent me a RMA# and told me to ship the subs and box back to them via ups. The box and subs weighs 109 pounds and now i have to pay for the shipping? This is getting out of hand.

I sent them an email asking if they expect me to pay the shipping for their issue and no response. Maybe this will get them to give me a reply. If not i guess i will have to file a claim with paypal.

I don't know why these speakers cannot get here unscathed but maybe they should consider better packaging and fragile stickers. They may also need to contact their ups rep to discuss these issues.

7/27/2010 - Contacted hifi by phone and they are sending out another set disassembled so as to prevent any damage. Will update when the new speakers get here.

7/29/2010 - I got the new speakers and they are in perfect condition. Shipping them separate worked much better although i had to assemble the sub box which was easy.

Although my experience with HIFI was not perfect they did what they said they would do and in a timely manner. For the savings i had with this order i am pleased overall and will order from them again.

"HiFi sound has all of the products - brand new in box for a huge savings! I purchased a set of car speakers and saved $80 over best buys price. Best Buy was $230, HiFi sound was $150 for the identical product.

I will definitely use them again.
