"Do not use no matter what"
"As a contractor dont deal with them they will rip you off"
"One service request resulted in 2 reschedules and 1 no show over 2 weeks. Their service is a F-ing joke. Don't waster your time."
"I posted a need for a plumber and got a call back. They wanted to charge $129 to come out and look at the problem and another $40 dollars for some other fee. That's $170 before any work is done. They could easily overcharge for the project leaving you out of $170 and still have a problem. They refused to give an estimate with charging you money. That sounds like such a scam. How are these people allow to do this to people who have problems. This is a predatory business. DON'T BE A VICTIM!!"
"home advisor is the biggest scam going all the horror stories you hear bout are absolutely true ..DO NOT GIVE THE YOUR CARD INFO !!!! they will run through your bank account and won’t give you back the money . They will send a fake lead and charge you for it.. there needs to. Be a class action lawsuit against them seriously they tell you they have so many satisfied contractors.. I haven’t talked to one yet .. they will not email you back if you email them about and issue they will call you back so there is no record of what they told you over the phone or what they agreed to do for you .. I told them do not charge my card until I found out more info about their company.. they did anyway . I called the rep back, he said he did it by mistake and he would refund my money .. he did not after several calls . They said they sent me a lead that I did not ask for . I turned off the leads on my app but they have it set up so the leads turn back on after a day or two automatically .. to much to even text the details BEWARE!!!!!"
"I tried a few home projects through home advisor to get a local pro out. I only once even got a call from a local pro and then he no showed to our appointment. This happened both project times. A complete waste of my time and lack of any professionalism on their part. hen Home Advisor calls asking "Hows your project going?". Ya kidding me? They do nothing to help and the pros they suggest dont even show. Please dont waste your time with these people."
"Home Advisor claims they only send a lead to 2 other contractors yet when I call these leads immediately, a majority of the time they are stale. Meaning the customer has been called by several other contractors (more than 2) and called hours before. I really believe they are rehashing leads in order to generate more revenue.
These should be illegal and I am having a lawyer look into this. If anybody else is seeing the same please post on here.

"HomeAdvisor is not even a star! They asked me in the beginning to pay for the whole year while I was thinking it was going to help me but it was horrible. They took my money away from my card all of the sudden for all the leads which by the way most of the leads didn’t work. Whenever I called a homeowner, they would either not answer and I would still be charged for the lead. I tried getting atleast back credit but they said they were unable to do that for any dumb reason. I highly suggest you to check the reviews first because you can clearly see homeadvisor is horrible. Instead of earning money you will end up loosing it. Please be careful and make sure not to join because i thought it was really going to benefit my company but clearly not. "
"This company as well as Angie's list (same owners) DO NOT VET or VERIFY contractors or handymen. The contractors & handymen PAY HomeAdvisor/Angie's list to get referrals. They do not disclose this information to the customers who reach out to them for assistance with projects. I did not know this information when I reached out to them for a handyman. The handyman they referred to me set up a date and time of HIS choosing to come and give me a bid on the projects I needed done. The day and time came and went, he never showed up (I know now Thankfully) nor did he call. Do not let any of their referrals in our home if U want or expect U and/or UR family to be safe. Angie's list used to be respectable and trustworthy, contractors/handymen were only able to become a referral with them by great customer referrals and it was the cutosmer who paid for their services and it was well worth it. But I CAUTION U, I now know that if a contractor or handyman has to PAY to get referrals RUN, RUN, RUN AWAY. Truly reputable & honest contractors/handymen get almost all of their referrals from previous customers, so ask around and DO NOT TRUST THESE COMPANIES. U WOULD BE BETTER OFF PICKING SOMEONE OFF THE STREET THAN USING ANY OF THE REFERRALS FROM HOMEADVISOR OR ANGIE'S LIST. "
"They are horrible !!!!! I told the guy on the phone that I have read reviews and I don’t want to continue he kept asking for a chance and trust so I said okay and now they want to send $307 !!!!!! To collections for don’t even know what I’m being charged for the next day I registered I told them to cancel!! That I do not want anything to do with them ! Scam stay away from these people I wish I did and didn’t fall for his crap "

"Small business owner? Getting multiple phone calls from Daniel Vitiello? Report him as spam and move on with your life. He will lie and tell you he has so many leads in your area that he don’t know what to do. And your business is the type of business he needs in your area. He won’t tell you about how you will get charged for leads that consist of people who are just “looking around”. He won’t tell you about how you will get charged out the neck in fees that’s “associated with leads”. Oh and when you sign up for the shame of a membership, he will stay on the phone and press buttons because he really need a sell. What to get scammed? Well call up Daniel, he’s the scammer of 2020! He will ignore your emails and calls until you get upset and call him a POS, then call you and yell at you. Don’t believe, give him your credit card information and watch him work! "
"Need a gutter cleaning service. I made appt by phone and waited for my email receipt. I never got it. When I called back, the person that took my payment somehow sent my receipt to the wrong email address. I didnt get a warm and fuzzy feeling from the person on the other end. I decided to check what address they scheduled my service for and it was NOT mine. I asked who was hired to do the work, they gave me someone's name with no business website or reviews. I could not contact that person/company until 24 hrs before my sched appt and only thru a temporary phone number (RED FLAG). Two days before my appt I called to check everything was on track, they had the wrong time scheduled, I decided to cancel. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER."
"I joined Home advisor to get more business. I had read some bad reviews but decided to give It a try anyway. Sure wish I hadn’t. What a ripoff. I had to pay 300.00 to get started, which is rediculous. That didn’t even include any leads. I was charged for every lead that came in whether or not I wanted it. And the cost is crazy. I paid for 22 leads and got three of them. So I spent almost 500.00 and made about 400.00 with the three jobs. Make any sense? I immediately cancelled my card and cussed them out. I’m done."
