"I've been with them for almost 2 years. I can say some leads are good ones but maybe you'll get 3/10 which for my business honestly is not worth it. However, I keep my profile open and I can still get leads but only from people that specifically click on my profile.

They also keep raising the price and leads are about e
30% more expensive now that 2 years ago and the quality of leads keeps declining on top of them selling the same lead to 5 other people. The ones that you might have a better chance are the leads that choose you from the directory. Which they are charging almost $40 for a service of 100-150.

Overall not worh the money I will canceled since I have found other competitor that is cheaper and with better terms."

"As a member for 2 years I can say you will get work. However to get work your going to get a lot of no response leads. They pretend to care but they won't refund hardly any leads. Hard to make money with them. They win I quit working with them."

"Don't hire using their prepaid service. They just post the job out and anyone can grab it if the 'say' they can do the job. Five different contractors for a simple carpet stretching job. All had to back out and all 5 admitted they didn't have the tools and/or skillset to do the job. They don't vet the pros at all so don't believe you're getting a validated professional. You're getting a handyman that may or may not have any of the skills needed for the job."

"started with them 4 years ago and they were good then they jacked up the lead price without telling me and started to send bad leads and never crediting me they took out their yearly dues without asking told me they would give me 10 free leads and i told them no cancel it would not refund me the membership dues and taking me to collections for $47 because of bad leads dont do it you will do better with pay per clicks

"I tried a few home projects through home advisor to get a local pro out. I only once even got a call from a local pro and then he no showed to our appointment. This happened both project times. A complete waste of my time and lack of any professionalism on their part. hen Home Advisor calls asking "Hows your project going?". Ya kidding me? They do nothing to help and the pros they suggest dont even show. Please dont waste your time with these people."

"Big Israeli Mafia and Scams company are working for Homesteader like "One National Design" or " 1st Step Concrete". The Israeli Mafia are coming from all over market and giving you a price 3 times higher and contractor. They push you to sign contract and than sell it to some one cheap contractor.

The other company line "One National Design" comes to your house and want a big money same day and the half next day and than disappeared .

"Need a gutter cleaning service. I made appt by phone and waited for my email receipt. I never got it. When I called back, the person that took my payment somehow sent my receipt to the wrong email address. I didnt get a warm and fuzzy feeling from the person on the other end. I decided to check what address they scheduled my service for and it was NOT mine. I asked who was hired to do the work, they gave me someone's name with no business website or reviews. I could not contact that person/company until 24 hrs before my sched appt and only thru a temporary phone number (RED FLAG). Two days before my appt I called to check everything was on track, they had the wrong time scheduled, I decided to cancel. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER."

"I joined Home advisor to get more business. I had read some bad reviews but decided to give It a try anyway. Sure wish I hadn’t. What a ripoff. I had to pay 300.00 to get started, which is rediculous. That didn’t even include any leads. I was charged for every lead that came in whether or not I wanted it. And the cost is crazy. I paid for 22 leads and got three of them. So I spent almost 500.00 and made about 400.00 with the three jobs. Make any sense? I immediately cancelled my card and cussed them out. I’m done."

"I put in a request and received recommended pros. Sent all 4 pros a message for a quote. No one responded after 2 days (which is their timeframe for response - rather long compared to Yelp and other). Questioned this with online customer service and the response was "do you want to re-submit?" Well, if they didn't respond the first time, I doubt their response would improve the second time... and I wanted the work done within a week, as noted on the request. Will not use them again! Yelp pros responded with 20 minutes - 4 hours!!!! Hired a pro same day."

I even had a "lead" tell me they were looking for a different service and called.for a credit they said no that I need proof. Told them to call the customer and they denied to do that to verify."

When I contacted Home Advisor all they would do was give a credit on an account that I will NEVER use. They need to be turned into the Better Business Bureau. "My husband and I had Superior Aluminum, Winter Park, Florida - branch used in Groveland - install our screened patio. It is incomplete due to 1 of two drains that were to have been installed on our patio floor. I checked with the company three times - since January 22 with my complaint to get an appointment for them to "fix" the oversight. They will not set an appointment to complete. I USED YOUR SITE WITH ITS EXCELLENT RATING FOR THIS COMPANY AND YOU LET ME DOWN. There are numerous complaints I have discovered...hindsight is always 2020. You are where the buck stops since you gave them high marks. "
