"Ordered a refrigerator a month ago. They had a question about my credit card but did not call me to ask - just waited until I realized the order was late. Then they said that they were sending it. Every time I call (and you should know that you have to call them a LOT) they say they are sending it. Now that we are one month and 2 days after the purchase, I wonder if they really are sending it. Does Homeeverything exist anywhere outside of the internet? It would be a funny existential question, if I had not spent over 1000 USD. Here on earth, its not so funny.

Update: Homeeverything responded to my inquiry saying that it was the shipping company's fault and that it "should" ship within 3-7 business days. I received a $50 gift certificate on a future order (not this order). HE sells a shipped product so this is their problem - as a customer why should I care whether they outsource shipping? I wrote back and explained that this was not acceptable. A month+ of waiting and getting the same 3-7 business day shipping window I got 30+ days ago is inadequate. a real company would find a solution.

"I placed an order for a new refrigerator on June 22. I got an email confirmation that the order would ship in about 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks without hearing anything, I called. They said it would probably be another week before it ships. Ok, I wait another week and then get an email saying the product is backordered and will take an additional 7-10 days. I'm not sure why they couldn't tell me this on day 1. Anyway, after about 2 more weeks, still no fridge so I called them again and they said it would ship the following Wednesday. That Wednesday I called, they again said it would ship the following Wednesday. This repeated for 3 weeks before I finally cancelled my order. Now, I'm waiting for them to process the credit and have already had to call them once about it. They said it would be processed in the next couple of days. I'm skeptical so will continue calling until I get it. Oh, I ordered the fridge from another company and they said 2 - 3 weeks and here it is in the middle of week 2 and the fridge is scheduled to be here Monday."

"Incontrovertibly the worst on line shopping experience of my life. I ordered a very expensive LG refrigerator at what appeared to be a great price. I placed the order on 7/10/2011. There was no communication from the company concerning shipping, delays, or any other problems. I called a number of times up to September 9, 2011 (today) inquiring each time about the anticipated delivery of this item. There were many promises, guarantees ("I guarantee the item will be shipped for sure on September 1st), but alas I finally contacted the vendor and my credit card company to day to cancel the order. My card was billed for $2,310.27 on the day of my order. Now I will wait for the refund. There are many similar reviews on line which appear indistinguishable to mine. How they are rated '5-star' and stay in business is a total mystery. "

"We ordered a cooktop from HomeEverything as they had the best price available and free shipping. We were replacing our countertop and needed the cooktop to arrive before the template of the new countertop could be made. Unfortunately, shipping for the cooktop was going to take longer than 2 weeks and would be arriving after the template was scheduled. We called customer service and spoke to Rich. He was very nice and professional. After looking up the order, Rich assured me that they could get it to our house by the date we needed it so that we would not have to delay our remodeling. Rich kept to his word and the cooktop arrived on time so that we were able to keep everything on schedule. "

"Ordered a dishwasher on July 26th, Home Everything charged my credit card on August 2nd. It's been 6.5 weeks since order was placed and the dishwasher hasn't been shipped. I called three times over the past three weeks to check the status, and every time they gave me a different excuse, including: 1. Item being shipped from CA so it took a while 2. hurricane 3. Item is damaged but there is a replacement on the way to the warehouse.

"We ordered a Weber grill from homeeverything.com on 8/5/11 that was supposed to ship within 7 to 14 days. The grill was not received until 9/8/11, almost 5 weeks after the order was placed. My issue with homeeverything.com is the lack of communication. We placed the order and the credit card was charged almost immediately. At no time did homeeverything.com contact us with a revised shipping date or request our consent to a later then estimated shipping date, this is a clear violation of the FTC “mail order rule”. It was up to us to contact the company to find out the model we ordered was out of stock and would take an additional two weeks. After it finally did ship I tried getting updates on the tracking website they provide, but it’s useless.

From reading other reviewers complaints, this seems to be an ongoing issue with this company.

If homeeverything.com had been realistic with their estimated shipping time in the beginning, we would have had no problem with waiting 5 to 6 weeks to receive the Weber grill since we saved about $70 and didn’t have to pay for delivery. Even though we finally received the grill I would not order from this company again. I also plan to report this to the FTC.

"I ordered an air conditioner on June 17th because their pricing was a cheaper than every other vendor. They told me that it would arrive 5-7 business days from the time of purchase. Week after week went by and I never received it. I called a few times and they kept telling me that it should arrive the next week. I finally got fed up and canceled the order on July 20th. It's now September and they still haven't refunded my money even though it took them less than a day to charge my account. I filed a claim and a complaint with my bank. My next task is to file a complaint with the NY dept. of consumer affairs. DO NOT BUY FROM HOME EVERYTHING!!! "

"Don't be tempted by the great price this company offers, like I was. I thought I bought a GE front loader, only to discover, after a month, I might not ever get it. I have been lied to by all the customer service rep I talk with. I finally cancelled the order a month after I placed it, hopping I would get my money back. The day I cancelled it I also bought the same item from Home Depot on line for $100.00 less. It was delivered today, as prommised. I still haven't got my refund from Home Everything."

"Worst experience of my online shopping life. First they said my debit card was denied. Now my bank account shows 3 duplicate charges. Then the salesman hung up on me after I was on hold for 20 minutes. Still not resolved.
Company just called me back to bribe me with free order to change my review. Although I did find out the problem was because I transposed numbers in my zip code, he continued to argue with me over the review and then called me stubborn. This small transaction has taken up so much of my time. Hopefully by the end of the week the pending charges will not show up in my bank account balance. Muliple pending charges, rude staff, and bribes to change reviews. Glad I did not make a big purchase. Oh yes, when I asked for his name, once again the line went dead. Surely he did not hang up on me also.
Update. Checked my bank statement and money was reinstated. Also checked the first emailed order acceptance and found that I had not given them the wrong address/zip code. I guess because I am legally blind, they thought I would accept that the error was on my part, but after reviewing the order, found out I had provided them with the correct info. Anyway, happy this transaction or lack of transaction did not end up costing me anything other than time and stress.

My sales rep was Joe S. He was very helpful with the whole order processing. Everything arrived on time as expected. Joe gave be additional discounts and price match for all the appliances that I had bought from them. He was extremely helpful in expediting the whole order.

"I bought a Weber charcoal grill and a few accessories from the wonderful people at Home Everything. The salesman who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable about his products and was able to not only find me what I wanted but also give me great advice to help me find a better product than what I was originally looking for.

The delivery was wonderful. They accommodated my schedule and made the drop off as easy as possible. Overall I would DEFINITELY work with this company again.

"You can add me to the list of people who have been scammed by this company. I was looking online for a fridge that had been highly rated by Consumer Reports. A number of online vendors said they were backordered, presumably due to the high rating in the article. This would not work for me because fridges take about 3-4 weeks from the ship date to receive, and I could not be without a fridge in my new home for more than a few days. I called HomeEverything and they said they had two in stock, so I ordered one a month in advance. A day after I placed my order, I received a notice that my order had been "processed", and checked my credit card web site to find they had charged my card. I assumed that this meant the fridge had been shipped. Not so!

A month later, I'm in my new home waiting for my fridge. I called HomeEverything and they told me it was due to ship the following week! That means 3-4 weeks from then for delivery. No way was I going for a month without a fridge. I had already paid for the fridge on my previous month's credit card bill too. So I cancelled the order.

What happened is that they lied about it being in stock. It was backordered like all the other vendors were. Then they charged my card immediately upon receiving the order, a month before the *scheduled* ship date. In effect, they're using their customers to loan them money on backordered items. After reading this site about all the other people to whom this happened, I checked my credit card web site several times to see if they had refunded my money from the cancelled order. No luck, so I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Caveat emptor!
