"HomeEverything.com is the worst retailer I have ever dealt with in my entire life. When I placed a large appliance order, I was told that it would arrive in 1-2 weeks because everything was in stock and I was located in a local delivery zone(note: I would have placed the order with a different website if it wasn't in stock). However, they called to cancel my order 1.5 weeks later because nothing actually was in stock and they also didn't want me to pay with an American Express card. I debated re-placing the same order with them, but they repeatedly lied about the product availability during several phone calls. I ended up placing the order with AJ Madison instead (somewhat hesitantly), and the products were delivered to my house in just TWO days (very impressed), whereas HomeEverything would have taken over 5 weeks! Terrible customer service and untrustworthy sales people at HomeEverything. They stopped accepting American Express cards - presumably because they can't stand by their sales process and have too many disputes. Admittedly, HomeEverything has the cheapest prices on the internet (especially for New Yorkers because of the tax), but they're so dysfunctional that your products might not ever arrive. It's worth the extra 8.875% tax to know that you'll receive something when promised. If that matters to you, stay far far away this company. Don't believe the other positive reviews about them (like I originally did). It's not worth the risk."
"After ordering an air conditioner online I waited for the notification of shipping for three days. I called them and was informed that the unit would ship in 6 to 7 weeks. This was unacceptable so I canceled the order. My credit card was charged the day I ordered and I expected an immediate credit back to my card. A week latter, no credit. I called again they said there was some sort of accounting problem and the credit would be made in the next 48 hours. 5 weeks later and after disputing the charge with my credit card bank I finally got the credit. But by this time I had already paid a finance charge. And the guy on the phone was rude."
"The dishwasher order I placed at the beginning of July still had not processed 3 weeks later. The excuse was something about the dlivery address even though my credit card had been charged 2 weeks earlier. They then said the dishwasher missed the truck. On the supposed delivery date they claim to have called me but never left a message and at that point I cancelled the order. I missed out on any GE rebates due to the months it had taken just to get the appliance shipped. I had enough of the lies. I am still waiting for the refund to my credit card after they claim to have processed it last week. Beware, do not use this company."
"Let me start by saying I am a sucker for a good deal. Possibly a bigger sucker than I thought.
After having my order delayed several times and reading all the poor reviews about HomeEverything.com I am pretty worried. I found that Home Everything has had 191 closed Better Business Bureau complaints in the last 12 months. To put that BBB number into context, Walmart has had 193 closed Better Business Bureau complaints in the last 12 months. Walmart does ~$25 billion of business in 12 months. There is something strange going on here.
I placed my order on 7-10-11 and my credit card was charged the next day. I received confirmation shortly after with a shipment day of between 7-28 and 8-2. 8-2 came and passed so I called and sent an email. I was told by Scott that he guaranteed my refrigerator would ship on 8-15 with 3 to 4 days of transit to my home. 8/15 came and past, so I called and emailed again. On 8/19 I was told by Eric that my order would ship 8/25 and that he personally talked to the loading dock and that was the day it was leaving. I am not sure what to believe.
I really want to believe in this company but I have my doubts this product will ever show up. I have read horror stories about get money back from them as well. I may have to cancel the order and file a dispute on my credit card. I wish I could just close my eyes and forget I ever found HomeEverything.com
I will update as things progress."
"I have nothing to say but good things about HomeEverything.com. We purchased a Frigidaire freezer at least $100 less than we could have purchased locally. It took about two weeks to get here which was no problem. We were informed every few days of the progress from the delivery company and the freezer was delivered on the day and within the time frame promised. When it arrived we discovered it had been damaged (dent in frame). I immediately called HomeEverything and was promptly connected to Jamie in customer service. He gave me instructions and gave me the option of accepting the freezer and getting a discount or returning the freezer. I opted to keep and get the discount. I emailed photos of the damage to Jamie and he responded in less than 5 minutes (Wow!) with an acceptable discount. I asked for 2 hours to make sure the freezer worked properly before I accepted the discount and he suggested I wait until the next day. The freezer works perfectly. I emailed Jamie the next day and he, once again, responded within 5 minutes. Less than one hour later the discount had been credited to my credit card. What EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will not hesitate to purchase from them again. GREAT price, GREAT service, GREAT products."
"This company is a major scam. I ordered a refrigerator on July 1st and was promised a 14 day delivery date. After many emails throughout the month I was told it would not be delivered until August 10th. I promptly cancelled the order after waiting a month. They charged my credit card on July 1st. I asked for a refund on August 1st. I was told 3-5 business days at that time. I have now heard that same statement 4 separate times from "Scott" the customer service rep. It has now been 15 business days since my cancellation and no such refund. If you were counting they have had my money for 48 days so far with no service rendered."
"I ordered a refrigerator from them over the phone. I selected them because they offered the best price even though I am far from their store. (Even with an extra fee for installation.) They told me it would be delivered in three weeks from the order date. It was finally delivered after 6 and a half weeks. When I would call to check on the status it was always that it was about to ship out, but they were waiting for the truck to be filled. Then one time they told me that the truck had shipped, but they didn't have room on the full truck for my refrigerator so it would ship out later.
They did promise to refund the installation charges due to the great delay. However, the credit hasn't appeared on my credit card and I finally resorted to opening a dispute with my credit card rather than continue to call HomeEverything. And while I was continually frustrated at the repeated delays, they were always polite and professional when I spoke with them, even if they couldn't resolve the delays.
The refrigerator finally arrived and I am quite pleased with it.
I wouldn't use them again, however. The low price wasn't worth all the extra delays and frustration."
"Ordered a microwave from HE last year and everythingwent fine. I ordered a gas barbecue grill this year and am getting a run around. After having ship date used out two months, I cancelled the order and now cannot get a refund from them. They keep saying it will be posted in 3-5 days and then nothing happens. I call back, wait 20 minutes on hold, and get a guy who is oh so understanding, and a promise that this time, the refund will show up in 3-5 days. And on and on it goes....for seven weeks now. I finally went to my bank, who will give me a refund an they will go after these bums. ANYBODY READING THIS, KEEP AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. THE LOW PRICES WILL LURE YOU IN BUT YOU'RE PLAYING A SUCKERS GAME. THEY WILL GET YOU....IF NOT NOW, THEN NEXT TIME, WHEN YOU BUY SOMETHING MORE EXPENSIVE."
"TERRIBLE!!! Don't buy from here!! My order was done 2 months ago and they charged me and keep blowing me off!! I keep calling and emailing customer service but they lie and keep saying it's coming. "
"This was my first experience with Homeeverything.com and IT WAS EXCELLENT!!! I did wait for my washer because they were trying to get me one to match my dryer and THEY DID!!! I am extremly happy with the customer service (MICHAEL M.), the price, and even the deilvery service. I will definitely use them again. I will be buying a new refigerator in the near future (my old one is 28 yrs) and I will be calling MICHAEL M. for help. Thanks again for the GREAT service.

"8/18 update- Was promised that my order would be shipped 8/11, didn't happen and was advised it would be shipped today, didn;t happen. Called customer service, was told it's now going to ship next thurs. Asked to speak to a manager to cancel my order, left a voice mail for manager expecting a call tomorrow....will be cancelling this order. These guys are ridiculous. Would not recommed them at all if you actually expect to get your products. Will update when/if I hear back from manager in regards to the refund process.
Ordered a grill on 7/3/11, received and email on 7/4/11 stating 2-3 weeks for shipping. 7/18/11 I sent an email to customer service to check on it, 7/18/11, they respond stating it will be leaving the warehouse in 5-7 days, 7/25/11, I email again to check the status and then called customer service. Got disconnected 3 times with long hold times in between and was told by the rep my order would be leaving the warehouse whether or not the truck was full today (8/11) and that I'd receive the email confirmation today.....that didn't happen. I emailed them again to see where it is and it was pushed out till 8/18, I'm contacting my credit card company and disputing the charge. We'll see what happens, but the other comments are not to promising. Should have done research on them...lesson learned. "
"I ordered LG Refrigerator and washer/dryer on July 16, 2011 and today, I called them to check the status and they said they can't fulfill the order and asked me to cancel if I want or wait until they call me back. They may not know what customer service is. Only reason, I used this store is price, instead I had to live without refrigerator and washer/dryer for more 3 weeks. I've just canceled the order."
"These guys are crooks with horrible customer service. They charge your credit card, don't ship the merchandise and then refuse to issue a credit refund. Do not do business with these crooks."
"I placed an order on 7/25/2011 for 2 washer/dryer Pedestals. On 7/27/2011 I recived this email(I removed my last name and adress other than that it is exact copy) and my CC was charged the full price.

Hi Samantha,
Thank you for reaching out to me. As stated on our site, most in-stock appliances take about 7-10 days to ship. In order to keep our prices low, and offer free shipping, we fill entire trailers with appliances, and then dispatch them to your local area. Once it hits your local area, you receive a tracking # as well as a phone call to set up an appointment. Your order could in fact get dispatched sooner than the 7-10 days. That's a rough estimate. I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance
I opened another ticket

I have seen a lot of neg reviews on-line saying they keep the date gets slipped. What if there isnt a full turck in the 7-10 days ... will it be longer? The above states it could be less but not longer. I didnt order appliances, I order the doors that go under the washer. the website indicated they were in stock.

Hello
Thank you for your recent order. The procedure and time frame for shipping and delivery is as follows. For your area, it is usually about 3-4 weeks on average from the date of order to the delivery as per the free shipping option. An email containing the tracking number will be sent to you once it departs from our facility. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks to ship out, and then about one week to get there from the time you get the tracking number. The trucking company will call you a few days prior to delivery to schedule an appointment with you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email or call our customer support. I hope this has been helpful, Have a great day.
Again just general info no answers to my questions so I opened a 3rd ticket

Comment: I have read several bad reviews about this company after placing this order. Currently the order status shows a ship date between 8/9 - 8-16 and Ticket ID 57610 said this was because you were waiting to fill a truck. Are my items on the truck? Do you know when the truck will be full? Is it possbile that it could take longer to fill the truck than 8-16 if so then waht happens? Also I am looking for real answer to these direct questions about this order not general shipping info as recieve with Ticket 57610 and 57648.

" Hello Samantha,
Thank you for your inquiry. Please accept our apologies, as we are unable to handle this type of inquiry via email. We would much appreciate it if you would give us a call at the number listed below so that we may go over the specifics and a representative may better assist you. I hope this has been helpful, we look forward to your call.
I then called everyday a few times a day since 8/4/2011. The first day I was told that my order would ship 8/10/2011. Then each call after they started with the run around(the items were damaged) and when I said well on the 4th I was told it would ship on the 10th they would say OK I see that now. I told each person that I have read bad reviews and asked if they had the items and if they would ship on the 10th each time they said yes they would. About this time the "status" for more account changed to N/A, so I called and asked about that. They stated that was because the items came in damaged and they would ship out on the 10th from a 3rd party. I asked for that contact info and was told they can't release personal info. I asked if they had the undamaged items in stock, I was told yes. I called on the morning of the 10th and was told they would be shipping Monday. I said I was told that they would today, they said Oh I see that they are shipping from a 3rd party but they weren't open yet(10:02 EST) and he would call them and then call me back. By 1:30 PM EST I had still not heard anything so I called again, this time I was told it would not ship until next week. I told him that I was told it would ship today he said he saw no record of that. I asked to speak with a supervisor, I got a manager named Jim(he stated he was the only Jim and they do not have employee numbers). Jim said he'd call the 3rd party to see waht was going on, he came back stating he just ordered them and it would ship next week. I told him to cancel the order, he was rude and stated he wished I would have told him sooner cause he just ordered them for me. I told him I wished they wouldn't have lied to me at ever step, and that they would have been order during 1 of my several other phone calls. He then made a comment about the items being little(I'm guessing he meant money wise), the total order was 399 but I ordered and paid for the items, and they should have been shipped without the games and lies. I told him to cancel the order and I would be filling a dispute with my CC company as soon as we hung up ... he stated that wouldn't be needed but with all the bad reviews of month without refund I went ahead a filled it. On a side note I ordered the washer and dryer from US APPLIANCE, their website clearly stated they would ship FOR FREE in 3 weeks with no tax(I got them in 2) but HE had a better price on that stands 199 a pc vs 249 a pc. I have later found the stand locally for 199 a pc, I will have to pick them up, and pay tax but I would have willing paid the more expensive price to avoid this headache."
"I moved to a new place, with no appliances at all. On 7/11/2011 I called Home Everything and made an order for ALL my kitchen appliances. They sales rep assured that I will have it delivered within 7 - 14 days (website says it as well).
I called every week since, and spoke with Eddie, a very rude and unprofessional customer support rep. Eddie kept on saying that the order is in process and it should be out within 3 weeks - cause its complicated order... (really??)
I called after the 3rd week. I spoke with Eddie again.. He asked me "What do you want?", I told him, it's been 3 weeks and the site doesnt show any status nor I got a phone call from them the schedule time of arrival - as promised.
Eddie said that the products should be shipped in the second week of August. Another week. Confused, I ended the call and put a reminded to call them a week after.
I called yesterday, August 10th - after no body contact me "on the second week of august" (no one EVER pro actively contact me, EVER), Eddie said that the products should be shipped "tomorrow", 08/11/11. I asked him if I should call again, he said, "No, they are going to show up tomorrow, Its confirmed".
I was very upset to wait for so long with NO APPLIANCES at all in my apartment, but relived its going to happen a day after.
Today, 08/11/11, my wife took a day off, waiting for the appliances to come. After waiting until 10am, I decided to call Home Everything, to get an idea when exactly they are going to show up. Eddie answered, took the order number, and again, with this exact words, "What do you want?", I told him, well, they supposed to ship the appliances today, I just wanted to get a general idea what time they are going to show up..
Eddie says: Well, we can complete your order, we will refund your money.
I was shocked!
A month! Waiting! For nothing! Zero level of service! Zero!! The whole month we are eating out, waiting.. I spoke with the manager, He said he is sorry and he will refund the money.. I told him - Its too easy.. He says that he sees the log of all the time I called - including yesterday and he sees that they told me that its going to be shipped today. But they dont even have the appliances..
Shocking,, Really! Reading only I saw that its a regular behavior of them.. many bad reviews of people, experiencing the same frustration I'm dealing with right now.
I cant even go and buy new appliances now - until refund kicks in and bring my credit limit back! Unbelievable!
This place should be closed!!
Too bad I read this thread only after I got screwed.
BBB compliant was just filled (please do the same if you got burned)..
I'm hoping to sue these crooks in the close future as well."
