"Awful!

I was waiting almost a mo nth to discover that the "item I ordered and that was in stock was damaged" and the "manufacturer discontinued the model".

"I wished I had checked this site before ordering from Homeeverything. Order was placed June 27th. They immediately charged my credit card with the promise of shipping by the last week of July, which was fine by me. End of July I called they told me it has been pushed to the first week of August. Called again today and got "sorry it'll be shipped next week". Terrible experience so far. Do not order from them. Watch out for specials from Home Depot or Lowes and get your items when you want them."

"It's been over 2 months and several phone calls to customer service and I have not recieved the product that I ordered. I have been told three times that it will ship the next week only to find out that it had not. The price was great but I would have paid full price to get it in a timely manner and not be lied to. I do not recommend this company."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY ARE A FRAUD. DO NOT BE SEDUCED BY THE LOW PRICES.

This vendor is, by far, the worst I've encountered in a very long time. I don't know what their game is, but don't be swayed by the clean-looking website or great prices.

On *June 20* I ordered a wine refrigerator from HE. The price was by far the best on the Internet -- and it happened to include free shipping (a real boon given the size of the item). (I should have realized there would be a problem).

9 days ensue ...

On *June 29* I received an email from sales@homeeverything asking me if I really wanted this item because it would have to be special ordered and it would take 2-4 weeks to arrive.

On *July 1* I read this email and I replied "yes, I really want this item." I found this all very off-putting because a) my expectations re: the delays should have been set during the ordering process b) I wouldn't have ordered the item if I did not want it and c) it seemed quite silly to have the manufacturer send the item to HE instead of sending directly to me if the item had to be special-ordered.

weeks ensue...

On *July* 23, I tried to reach out to sales@ again to ask them for a status. No reply. No updates were available on the website.

On July 27, I once again sent an email expressing my frustration at the lack of a status on this item. No reply.

On July 29, I tried to call HE at 2:30 PST, however they were closed after 5 PM EST. I filed a ticket w/the vendor via the website.

No responses ensued.

On Aug 1, I called HE and the sales person who answered (sounding, frankly, stoned or completely untrained) told me that I had to tell them that I wanted this fridge (WT&?). I then asked to speak w/a manager -- at which point, I was placed on hold for 90 mins -- and I stayed on well past their closing time -- w/a promising voice telling me someone would be right w/me the whole time.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

"This is my story from August 2011. I have shopped online for years and HomeEverything has been the worst online buying experience I have ever had. PLEASE, do not order from this company. After ordering a washer in early June, my order had still not shipped by the end of July. Each customer service rep I talked to seemed to have a different answer as to when my order would ship. My first two ship dates were missed. I was then promised by a customer rep on the phone that it would ship the last week of July. I then sent an email to confirm this shipping estimate and they again confirmed it would be the last week of July. During the last week of July I called them to confirm the exact ship date. The customer rep then told me that their trucks were full and it would not ship until August 5 at the earliest. This scenario seems to fit with multiple other reviews on this site."

"I just had a completely frustrating experience with this company. I ordered a dishwasher on June 22 and was immediately charged on my credit card for the item. Their website says it ships in 7-14 days, don't believe it. I called the middle of July was told the item would ship the next week, called the next week, was told that the item would ship the 25th of July. Finally spoke to David Johnson who apparently is the manager, he assured me that the item would ship before the end of the week and threw in a warranty. When the item didn't ship I spoke to him several more times and as 'guaranteed' that it would ship at the end of that week. I was sent a shipping tracking number and assumed that now I would actually get my order. When I didn't receive any contact from the shipping company, I called the shipping company and was told that the order had been pulled because when they picked it up from Home Everything for delivery the item was so badly damaged that they would not accept delivery and requested a replacement from Home Everything. Again, no contact from Home Everything to let me know. Finally today I have canceled my order and requested a full refund. Let's see how long that takes. Do not under any circumstances order anything from this company, it is not worth the trouble and you will be disappointed. I can't imagine what would have happened had a badly damage product been delivered. I have done a lot of online shopping and never experienced anything like this. This is the first review I have ever written. "

"An absolute crap merchant. Fraudulent information regarding their policies at time of purchase. Bogus form letter emails trying to solice unsuspecting customers. Immediate transactions of purchases with a 2 month delay before shipping. Customer servicesrepresentatives reading standard responses to obviously common customer complaints.

We ordered our grill on June 8rd, 2011. At no time during checkout did it state that "It may take up to 2 to 3 weeks to process your order." We received an email confirming our order and stating that it may take 2 to 3 weeks to process your order per our policy and an additional week to ship thereafter. On July 4th, my wife made a status inquiry and received an email stating our order is scheduled to leave their facility during the week of July 11th at which time we will receive an email with tracking information.

By July 14th, we still had not received any tracking information and we made another inquiry. We got the same form letter response as we did on the 1st inquiry.

On July 25th, I stepped in to make a phone inquiry. My intentions were to cancel the order and go out and purchase a BBQ before our summer is over here in the Northwest. I was told by David Johnston that he would personally make sure that our BBQ would ship on July 28th and so I gave them 1 more chance.

On July 1st, I called to confirm whether or not it shipped and was told that it did and to expect an email with tracking information 2 to 3 business after shipment. I told him that it already has been 3 business days. Fortunately, we received an email at 12:49pm PDT on July 1st with this information.

"We are pleased to inform you that your order has been shipped. Below is your order detail as well as the shipper's tracking number for this shipment.
Please allow up to 24 hours for the tracking information to be available on the shipper's website."

On July 3rd at 7:22pm PDT, I tried to track our order and was whisked away to a website with our order information but upon entering all required data, it did nothing at all, literally. Still no information as to whether or not it truly shipped.

However, on this 3rd party website, it states that the estimated ship date is 08/03/11.

They have had money in hand for nearly 2 months now and we still haven't a clue on the status of our order.

The only reason I gave them 1 more chance is because I'm scared to think how long it would take for them to refund our money or if it ever would.

"Do not buy from them! I ordered a dishwasher that they had in stock on 6/27/11. On 6/28 I received and email saying yes it was in stock, but delivery would take 3 - 4 WEEKS. 2 hours after receiving the email I called, and was hold for 25 minutes before I spoke to someeone that canceled my order. On 8/1 I received my credit card bill with the charge on 6/28, but it had not been refunded yet. I requested a refund by email and did not receive a reply. I called, waited on hold for 30 minutes to tell them I needed a refund, then was transfered and put on hold again for 10 minutes before the billing dept. said I should expect a refund on my credit card in 48 hours. Horrible customer service! All they do is take your money, and keep it for a month. Lean from my mistake, do not buy from them!"

"This is a real review of my experience with Home Everything this summer (2011). I shopped online and at stores extensively before ordering a Samsung refrigerator from HE. The price beat all others by $200-$300. Unfortunately, I didn't see the negative reviews (Google shopping had quite high reviews which I think are probably fake) until after I'd made the purchase. I ordered the fridge on May 26. I just got the fridge today, August 2. This was indeed an exercise in patience and perseverance.
I would call and they would say the item was backordered. Then they said the item was in and it would be shipping "soon". Probably around the beginning of July I took to calling them about once or twice a week to let them know that the shipping date they gave me had come and gone. It was extremely frustrating.
I got to know Eric, one of the customer reps, quite well. He was very nice and understanding but there was nothing he could really do. One thing he did do for me was give me an extended warranty. Probably the third time I talked to him he gave me a one yr. The next time, a two yr. By the time all was said and I done I have a 5 yr warranty which didn't really matter to me at the time since I had no fridge!
Finally, when there were no more warranties to give me and nothing more he could do so he transferred me to his supervisor. There was still a lot of run around and mis-information. I finally got a shipping notice about a week ago. The thing shipped and was delivered in perfect condition.
I cannot say I would recommend HE to anyone. Their service is extremely poor. I would wait hours on hold before I got smart and asked for Eric's extension. I would highly recommend you get the extension of your rep the FIRST time you call because, believe me, you will be calling again. And again.
Since I didn't need the fridge right away I supposed it was worth saving that money and I also got the extended warranty out of it.
If you need something right away I would shop locally. Find the small appliance store in your town (not Lowes or HD) and give them your business. If ours hadn't shut down (thanks to Lowes and HD) that's what I would have done. Also, keep in mind that they do charge your card shortly after you make the purchase online, NOT when they ship the product. This is not illegal to do but it is on poor taste, no big surprise from this company.
Anyway, I now have a beautiful new fridge and it only took 9 weeks to get it! Good luck!

"HOMEEVERYTHING BILLS WITHOUT SHIPPING ON BACKORDERED ITEMS. We ordered a grill on June 4th. They billed my credit card June 13th. I hoped to get it by Father's Day. Mid June I called and they said they were not shipping it until they got a full truck. Early July they said they discovered that they had the wrong model. Mine was backordered. It was still backordered when I cancelled the order July 27th. They said they would credit my account but that has not happened yet.

""Customer Service" is not in their vocabulary. Are they low priced and do they ship for free? Yes, and partially. Yes it is free WHEN they get around to shipping it. I do almost all my shopping for things other than bath and grocery items online and have never had to deal with such frustration and blatant disregard for honest business practices.

Made an order on 05/23/2011 in preparation for a kitchen remodel that was supposed to begin two weeks following and take about a week to complete. According to their published policies "on average HomeEverything.com processes orders within 2 business days of receipt" and shipping within 7-14 days I figured that giving them 3 weeks was adequate. After a week of checking the status daily online and only seeing "In Process" I called and was told that that since it was a large order (entire kitchen outfit for remodel) it was taking a bit longer but would be completed and shipped within 3 days and take about 5 days to arrive. OK. Five days later status is still "In Process" so make another call. Again, promises that it's on it's way out the door. At the same time I noticed that the $2,075.95 refrigerator I purchased was now $1,899.95 (dropped $176) and was told I would get a refund per their price match policy. Still have not received the refund. A few more days go by and still no status change. By this time the kitchen is demolished and remodel underway and I call again and FINALLY get the answer that they were waiting on the grill I ordered at the same time to combine shipping. What?!?! They never told me that on any of the previous calls. Told them to get the appliances to me now and grill could wait or the entire order would be cancelled. Next day it shipped. Did arrive... after the kitchen was done several days prior and contractors long gone... and without the dishwasher. Called to inquire and was told that to their records it had and that I must be mistaken. *Sigh* Really? "Mistaken"? Um, I think I can figure out if I have a dishwasher sitting on my doorstep or not. So then a round of going back and forth with the HE and the freight company before HE finally acknowledged that "perhaps" they had made the mistake. Shipped it out a few days later.

So after feeling like I had to bully them to get the products that I'd paid for the moment the order was placed I did get the appliances in a "mere" 5 weeks. Had to do the installs myself since the contractors had gone off to other jobs two weeks prior. Now more than 9 weeks after order placed still don't have my grill and have been ignored via e-mails or put on hold and never gotten back with when I call. Did finally get a note today that the grill is "backordered indefinitely" so good luck figuring out if I will get it before winter sets in - and yet they STILL have it for sale on their website.

I completely agree with a few other reviewers (unfortunately I didn't read these BEFORE making my order) that they list products that they do not actually have and wait until they get the order and THEN try to source a supplier.

Would I order from them again? NO. Should you? I wouldn't, not unless you have a LOT of patience, are NOT time pressed, and don't mind spending a LOT of your time hounding them. They are cheap, but they do not live to the addage "Under-Promise and Over-Deliver" (they adopted the corollary), so in the end you will feel frustrated and that you really "worked" for that discount.

Look at the review (I wish I had) and note that they are all 5 stars (employees?) or 1 star. Not much middle ground, and there are enough 1's to suggest they just might have some issues with their business practices. So will you be a 1 or a 5 - are you a gambler? Do you feel lucky? If so go ahead and order - but do NOT trust that just because you can put it in your cart and pay for it that they have one or can even get one before the Devil catches a cold.

"I order online a lot!!! This is the most horrible place I have ever dealt with!!! Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere!!! I ordered a washing machine beginning of June, 2011 ..After waiting on it for 3 weeks I cancelled my order because I needed one asap. I was also going on vacation. They changed my shipping date 3 times!! They made me unaware of my item being "out of stock" and then when they said they had it in they never shipped it out. Now it is almost August and I am still waiting on my refund of a product that was never mine in the first place!! I am reporting these people!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE TO GET ANYTHING!!!!"

"Even though there was a delay from the manufacturer (KitchenAid), Home Everything customer service went above and beyond in keeping me updated regarding my refrigerator's progress. I especially dealt with a most polite and professional representative, Scott. He was quite apologetic, even though it was of no fault on their part. Scott wanted to compensate me for waiting so long, that he threw in, free of charge, in home delivery. It meant a great deal to me, not having my husband take off from work. Thank you ever so much Scott! Oh, and did I mention that the Home Everything driver called and gave me a 2 hour time frame, and he was there promptly! The refrigerator was in perfect condition, they set it up and plugged it in. Thank you again for a most wonderful customer service and a great refrigerator. P.S. This same refrigerator that I paid $1,525.00 total, sells elsewhere for $2,999.00, not including delivery and taxes! A great buy!
