"This double bunk white metal bed is perfect for our spare bedroom , it arrived when promised and in good shape. asseembled in less than a 1/2 hour. The grandkins love it. Our youngest grandson, 3 and a half , wants grandma to climb to the top with him."

"I purchased a Jewelry Amoire. Upon receipt I opened the box and was nothing less than shocked at what I found.
The top was to be portable and was positioned in place by small metal feet which lined up over holes drilled in the second layer top. The feet did not line up, 1 foot was completely missing, the felt on the bottom was torn around the feet and the holes were so far off center that the top was lopsided when I finally got the feet re-positioned. I gave up, removed the feet and repaired with stick on bumpers from Home Depot.
On all sides there were chips in the finish. One on the front was so bad it had been touched up with a magic marker type pen (no filler or even attempt to cover up the error). I had to find a finishing repair kit and spend almost 2 hours repairing the finish.
Upon inspecting the draws I found them made crudely of open density particle board, no veneer except on the sides. This along with the materials the back was constructed with I realized these components had been made from shipping crate material, no joke.
The inside of the draws were felt lined. Of the 7 draws, 3 had the felt peeling away from the sides and inside front. I had to carefully re-glue each draw.
The portable top is designed to hold rings, etc. in folds of felt and compartments that can be viewed when the top cover is lifted. The sections were glued in very crookedly and glue was smeared on the felt from where the original section was intended to stay but slid sideways. I could not fix this.
This was an embarrassment to give to my wife, but I had little choice because by the time I got it, there was no time for an alternative gift for the holiday.
When I went to open the side doors I noticed that the handle on one side was very cockeyed and not square to the door. This I could not fix as hole were drilled.
It is obvious that no rules, squares or jigs were used in this assembly. One note, the legs fit fine.
This is truly a piece of junk. After all day in my workshop at least I got us through the holiday.
This is the first experience I have had with Homelement and will no doubt be my last.
Last thing: the packaging and shipping crate were of high standard and made the journey from China in great shape. To bad they didn't use it to ship something of quality "
